In this paper, the problem of determining the optimal size of barge cargo capacity is solved in connection with the transport of coal from coal mines in Kalimantan to the Java power plants. The constraints in this problem include coal demand of power plants, sailing time, size of barge cargo capacity and main dimensions of pusher and barge constraints.
