Figure 163 The concept is to unite a number of different levels with a continuous perforated roof surface under which various pieces of built in and free standing furniture can be displayed with a high degree of flexibility. This roof surface also curves down to define an external courtyard located in the centre of the deep plan. However, the complex roof geometry is not just a formal and spatial device but also regulates the environmental performance of the building providing day light, ventilation, and rain water recycling.
