The effective atomic number and effective electron number per unit mass for some amino acids which are building blocks of pro- tein and for some sugars which play an important role in RNA and DNA in all living cells are determined by using the Direct-Zog. It can be seen in Figs. 7 and 9 that the Ze values of the Direct-Zerg show the same behaviors with the Ze values taken from the Auto-Zog and a previous experimental work in the medium energy range for amino acids such as Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Valine, Leucine, Lysine, Arginine and Tryptophan and sugars such as Arabinose, Glucose, Rhamnose, Maltose, Melezitose and Fructose, respec- tively. Compatibilities of the Neg values from the Direct-Zg with the Neg values of the experimental study are lightly seen for the amino acids and sugars in Figs. 8 and 10, respectively.
