Background: Faculty development often urges a shift from teacher-centered delivery to "facilitation," yet instructors report two recurrent failures: (1) reverting to authoritative lecturing when content is dense or safety-critical, or (2) drifting into loosely structured, unfocused interactions that fail to consolidate understanding or achieve learning outcomes. Such tendencies illustrate why facilitation often remains conceptually attractive yet fragile as a teaching practice. Aim: To clarify how educators can remain genuinely learner-centered, preserving autonomy across content types and densities by aligning facilitation stance with content characteristics.

Our efforts to objectively measure the results of training are part of the old
Newtonian way of thinking. When we seek to develop excellence, we are engaging in a transformational process and we should be using a new living-system paradigm to guide us.

Kegiatan seminar Aikido dan latihan bersama tahun 2025 di Kebumen telah dilaksanakan dengan sebaik-baiknya. Tidak ada kendala yang berarti karena koordinasi dan daya dukung panitia yang solid. Kegiatan ini adalah kali kedua setelah sebelumnya dilaksanakan pada tahun 2023. Tahun 2025 ini kegiatan semakin terencana, berikut kami uraikan kegiatannya manjadi: 1) kegiatan persiapan, 2) kegiatan inti (latihan), 3) kegiatan tambahan/lainnya, dan 4) kegiatan evaluasi dan penutupan Kegiatan persiapan dilakukan mulai akhir bulan Januari 2025. Kami melakukan koordinasi dengan Kokoro no Heiwa Aikido Yogyakarta sehingga diperoleh keputusan pelaksanaan seminar dan latihan bersama akan dilaksanakan pada akhir bulan April 2025. Selanjutnya, panitia menindaklanjuti dengan membuat proposal permohonan donatur, merencanakan lokasi kegiatan, mendata perlengkapan, menetapkan dan mencari donatur, serta mengajak sekaligus mendata peserta. Bulan Februari panitia menyiapkan proposal permohonan donatur dan mulai mendistribusikannya. Selain itu juga dilakukan pendekatan dan lobi dengan Gading Water Park Kebumen. Bulan Maret hingga April, proposal permohonan donatur mulai mendapatkan umpan balik dari para donatur. Para peserta juga mulai mengkonfirmasi kehadiran. Pertengahan bulan April, panitia juga melakukan pendekatan kepada Dinas Kominfo Kebumen sebagai media peliputan. Dengan surat permohonan, Dinas Kominfo berkenan untuk liputan Kebumen TV dan dialog on air di In FM. Sepekan sebelum kegiatan, barulah perlengkapan seperti matras dapat disediakan. Matras berasal dari Pengkab IPSI Kebumen dengan mengirimkan surat permohonan. Kegiatan inti dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu, 26 April 2025. Background: England's extensive NHS patient survey programme has not fulfilled government promises of widespread improvements in patients' experiences, and media reports of poor nursing care in NHS hospitals are increasingly common. Impediments to the surveys' impact on the quality of nursing care may include: the fact that they are not ward-specific, so nurses claim "that doesn't happen on my ward"; nurses' scepticism about the relevance of patient feedback to their practice; and lack of prompt communication of results. The surveys' impact could be increased by: conducting ward-specific surveys; returning results to ward staff more quickly; including patients' written comments in reports; and offering nurses an opportunity to discuss the feedback. Very few randomised trials have been conducted to test the effectiveness of patient feedback on quality improvement and there have been few, if any, published trials of ward-specific patient surveys. Methods: Over two years, postal surveys of recent inpatients were conducted at four-monthly intervals in 18 wards in two NHS Trusts in England. Wards were randomly allocated to Basic Feedback (ward-specific printed patient survey results including patients' written comments sent to nurses by letter); Feedback Plus (in addition to printed results, ward meetings to discuss results and plan improvements) or Control (no active feedback of survey results). Patient survey responses to questions about nursing care were used to compute wards' average Nursing Care Scores at each interval. Nurses' reactions to the patient feedback were recorded. Results: Conducting ward-level surveys and delivering ward-specific results was feasible. Ward meetings were effective for engaging nurses and challenging scepticism and patients' written comments stimulated interest. 4,236 (47%) patients returned questionnaires. Nursing Care Scores improved more for Feedback Plus than Basic Feedback or Control (difference between Control and Feedback Plus = 8.28 ± 7.2 (p = 0.02)). Conclusions: This study provides preliminary evidence that facilitated patient feedback can improve patients' experiences such that a full trial is justified. These findings suggest that merely informing nurses of patient survey results in writing does not stimulate improvements, even if results are disaggregated by ward, but the addition of ward meetings had an important and significant impact.

Introduction-Student's performance remains at top priority for teachers. It is meant for making a difference locally, regionally, nationally and globally. Educators, trainers, and researchers have long been interested in exploring variables contributing effectively for quality of performance of learners. These variables are inside and outside school that affect students' quality of academic achievement. These factors may be termed as student factors, family factors, school factors and peer factors (Crosnoe, Johnson & Elder, 2004).Academic failure is a result of complex and interconnected factors. To increase the academic performance of the students the teacher needs to take special initiatives for students' achievement. Teachers try to change their role and act as a facilitator for students' development and learning. O mesmo, teve como objectivo principal, compreender a interacção escola-família no processo de ensino-aprendizagem dos alunos da 6ª classe da Escola Primária nº 134 Patrice Lumumba, Malanje. A pesquisa foi realizada com base a abordagem qualitativa, de carácter descritiva e explicativa. Para a colecta de dados, utilizamos as técnicas de entrevista estruturada, semiestruturada e pesquisa bibliográfica. Para tratamento de dados, preferimos análise do discurso. No que toca a amostragem, recorremos a não probabilística por acessibilidade, que permitiu seleccionar alunos, professores, membros da direcção da escola, pais e encarregados de educação e especialistas. A interacção escola-família no processo de ensino-aprendizagem é de tamanha importância para o desenvolvimento do próprio aluno ou cidadão. Entre as duas instituições, verifica-se uma ligeira tendência de uma apontar outra pelo fracasso nas relações. Porém, para que haja um equilíbrio social, é necessário que as duas andem de mãos-dadas, cada uma desempenhando bem o seu papel. Pois, a escola tem as seguintes funções: por um lado, socializar, formar, educar e instruir. Por outro, política, económica, selecção social, transmissão cultural e fornecimento de inovadores. Adult enrollment in online programs has increased over the last decade despite problems with learner engagement. As there is a dearth of formal research on the impact of relationships in the online context, this inquiry provides evidence for the importance of relationships in adult online learning contexts by analyzing the literature on online adult learners through the lens of transformative learning theories. Relationship has been defined in multiple ways and researchers have explored their transformative impact. Key strategies that foster online relationships have been documented. Adult learners generally perceive online relationships as indispensable to achieving their learning goals. Findings suggest that interactivity is a significant variable in the equation of online adult learning because it affects participation. Though preferences for types of online interactivity vary according to learners’ profiles, the student–to–instructor interaction emerged as the major component in online relationships. Findings also suggest the need for multifaceted and multimedia approaches to facilitating the social and emotional needs of online learners. Transformative learning takes places at high levels in professional programs that have been designed to foster critical self-reflection and professional expertise. Understanding the impact of relationships may provide stakeholders in adult learning with insightful considerations to mitigate against isolation, alienation, and exclusion in adult online learning contexts. Because relationships matter, their negative impact might undermine the learning experiences.

O presente trabalho tem por principal objectivo o estudo da relação entre o envolvimento parental na escola, percebido por pais e por professores, e o ajustamento de crianças do primeiro ciclo do ensino básico. A amostra é constituída por 563 crianças dos 3º e 4º anos de escolaridade, pelos seus pais e pelos seus professores. O envolvimento parental na escola foi avaliado através das duas versões, para pais e para professores, do Questionário de Envolvimento Parental na Escola (QEPE-VPa e QEPEVPr). Foram considerados dois indicadores de ajustamento das crianças, o seu desempenho académico, avaliado pelos professores e a sua autoestima global, avaliada pelas crianças. As atuais Orientações Curriculares para a Educação Pré-Escolar (OCEPE) referem que: “A aprendizagem da linguagem oral e escrita deve ser concebida como um processo de apropriação contínuo que se começa a desenvolver muito precocemente e não somente quando existe o ensino formal” (Lopes da Silva, Marques, Mata, & Rosa, 2016, p.63). Desde idades precoces, as crianças adquirem competências básicas no domínio da literacia. Inúmeras investigações têm vindo a demonstrar que o desenvolvimento de competências de literacia em idades precoces desempenha um papel importante e decisivo no posterior processo de aprendizagem e de aquisição da leitura e da escrita (Lonigan, Schatschneider, Westberg, 2008; Siddaiah & Padakannaya, 2015). É nesse assimilar de competências, conhecimentos e experiências precoces sobre a linguagem oral e escrita por parte da criança que se focaliza e se alicerça "O CRESCER DO LER".

Data on violence against children are only a few reported but in reality, more than reported. School is one of the locations of acts of violence against children. Preventing violence against children cannot just be handed over to the police, but must involve other education stakeholders in the school. This paper looks at the role of education stakeholders in preventing violence in schools. A qualitative approach used to understand the problems to be researched, data taken by the use of in-depth interviews and observation. The research was done in senior high school "X" Bukitinggi City and senior high school "X" Padang City. A description of the cases of violence that occurred at school and the way in which schools dealt with them indicated that education stakeholders had a sufficient role in overcoming or preventing violence. However, education stakeholders are less empowered in carrying out this role. Education stakeholders have the strength and authority but are less brave to use these powers and authorities to take action that can reduce or prevent acts of violence against children in school. Although their roles, duties, and functions are clearly regulated in existing government regulations.

Apresenta-se o modelo de negócio do PROJETO VOLTO JÁ, cujo objetivo geral consiste na operacionalização de um programa de intercâmbio social sénior, entre organizações de economia social, procurando promover experiências turísticas aos idosos. O modelo de negócio proposto baseia-se na partilha de recursos como forma de potenciar a proposta de valor acrescentado. In a rural context in a developing country purchasing a computer and connecting it to the Internet is in itself difficult, even when the lack of money is a minor issue. These issues prevent individuals in rural communities from familiarizing themselves with educational technology and ICT in general. The present study investigates the specific barriers to buying and utilizing ICT and ways in which these barriers can be overcome in a case study involving stakeholders from an educational institution in rural Bangladesh. Through a transformative methodology and a phenomenographic approach to the analysis (Larsson & Holmström, 2007), interview data on the decision-making experience of computer purchases, and the after-purchase experience of learning computer-related skills, the integration of the technology and the skills in interviewees' (students and teachers) learning environments is analyzed. The barriers to purchasing a computer fall in four major categories: Cultural, financial, infrastructural, and knowledge barriers; with knowledge transcending the other barriers. When addressing the barriers to facilitate purchase of a computer locally situated knowledge is crucial. The study concludes that more research is needed to fully understand the diffusion and development of knowledge and inclination to purchase a computer.

This article presents a study conducted in 2013, co-financed by the Rehabilitation National Institute that, aiming at knowing the culture of inclusion of the Alcobaça minicipality, wished to know the role of 2 actors in the child s education family and educators in the promotion of the child s social inclusion. Families and Educators of 40 children with Early Childhood Intervention (IPI)were surveyed. Results seem to show that several dimensions need to be worked by the IPI technician to help both actors to articulate and complement their educational mission.

Teoría polivagal; Tono vagal; Embodiment; Presencia terapéutica; Apego Resumen La teoría polivagal aporta una explicación neurofisiológica de cómo el cuerpo y el cerebro se interrelacionan con el contexto social en el que ambos tienen lugar. Su aplicación al ámbito de mindfulness y compasión puede contribuir a optimizar la eficacia de estas intervenciones, integrar los resultados obtenidos en los estudios de eficacia y guiar la investigación futura. Nuestro propósito con el presente artículo es ofrecer un marco integrador que pueda explicar las bases neurofisiológicas subyacentes a la práctica de mindfulness y compasión. Tras presentar los fundamentos de la teoría polivagal, se exploran sus posibles aportaciones al ámbito de mindfulness y compasión. Mediante la revisión de constructos como el apego, el embodiment o la presencia terapéutica, se ofrecen recomendaciones prácticas para el instructor. Para finalizar se plantea la importancia de tener en cuenta el estado fisiológico para la práctica de compasión y se proponen sugerencias de investigación futura.

O trabalho apresentado neste artigo é desenvolvido no âmbito de um projeto mais abrangente, PLowDeR, cujo objetivo é desenvolver, implementar e dar continuidade a uma plataforma digital que dê suporte à operacionalização de uma framework de indicadores, para avaliar o impacto da rede Aldeias Históricas de Portugal nos territórios de baixa densidade. Esta operacionalização será feita com recurso a tecnologias inteligentes (Indústria 4.0). Este artigo apresenta a conceptualização da plataforma digital que sustenta o projeto PLowDeR, assim como alguns aspetos da sua prototipagem. Estando este trabalho em curso, o artigo focase na apresentação da metodologia (Design Science) e dos aspetos funcionais e conceptuais da plataforma que permitirão atingir efetivamente os objetivos do projeto. Além disso, são apresentados alguns detalhes mais físicos, ainda que num estado embrionário, no que diz respeito ao desenvolvimento da base de dados de suporte. A parte funcional da plataforma encontra-se já validada com a realização de dois Focus Groups com os stakeholders do projeto.

O presente trabalho tem por principal objectivo o estudo da relação entre o envolvimento parental na escola, percebido por pais e por professores, e o ajustamento de crianças do primeiro ciclo do ensino básico. A amostra é constituída por 563 crianças dos 3º e 4º anos de escolaridade, pelos seus pais e pelos seus professores. O envolvimento parental na escola foi avaliado através das duas versões, para pais e para professores, do Questionário de Envolvimento Parental na Escola (QEPE-VPa e QEPEVPr). Foram considerados dois indicadores de ajustamento das crianças, o seu desempenho académico, avaliado pelos professores e a sua autoestima global, avaliada pelas crianças. This achievement was influenced by the existence of a creative program in the form of a program of maturation of age marriage. This article explains the process of procuring a program of maturation of age marriage in Gedangsari Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency. The results of the study indicate the provision of a program of maturation of age marriage to prevent the occurrence of child marriage involving various related organizations and institutions.
