This study explores the experiences of college women holding executive leadership roles in highly visible on-campus registered student organizations. More specifically, the study seeks understanding of how social role expectancies interfaced with the women’s perceptions and experiences as college leaders. This article explores how emergent organizations with core stigma manage stigma, and work toward official recognition. The qualitative research design used organizational constitutions, listserv communications, and interviews to examine officially-approved student organizations focused on kinky sexuality in U.S. universities. Our findings indicate (a) due process and impersonal evaluations enable official approval of emergent organizations, particularly if this focuses on operational concerns; (b) emergent organizations leverage credible social discourses, such as individual rights, to emphasize issues pertinent to approval bodies and mainstream throughout society; (c) organizations can strategically embrace stigma, entailing complex decisions about balancing revelation and concealment; and (d) organizational tactics shift depending on the maturity of the stigmatized issue, important because organizational stigma can be resilient and persistent despite organizational legitimacy. Objective. To evaluate the structure and impact of student organizations on pharmacy school satellite campuses. Methods. Primary administrators from satellite campuses received a 20-question electronic survey. Quantitative data analysis was conducted on survey responses. Results. The most common student organizations on satellite campuses were the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) (93.1%), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) (89.7%), Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI) (60.0%), state organizations (51.7%), and local organizations (58.6%). Perceived benefits of satellite campus organizations included opportunities for professional development, student engagement, and service. Code-switching between bilingual and multilingual teachers and students at St. Nicholas School (SNS) is a natural and inescapable language phenomenon. This motivated the researcher to study whether codeswitching affected teachers and students negatively or favorably, particularly in terms of their academic activity. The researcher specifically delved into how English teachers and students in EFL classes at SNS saw code-switching and perceive the methods, purposes, and issues that came with it. To find out how respondents feel about code-switching, this study employed a mixed-methods research methodology and an adapted questionnaire to collect data. According to the study, code-switching has a ton of advantages for students and teachers, making teaching and learning rich, fruitful, and engaging. Also, it aided in the accomplishment of educational objectives, made it easier to understand complex ideas, and sped up the process of acquiring language abilities. Despite the positive outcome, some drawbacks impair teachers' and students' ability to communicate, particularly when dealing with English-only speakers when they are immersed in the outside world. Also, when utilized improperly, it might have compromised the teachinglearning process. Code-switching in the classroom is therefore both a yeah and a nay! To optimize the benefits of code-switching, the study suggested finding a balance. The long-term harmful effects of learning a language can be avoided in large part by teachers. The usage of the target language should be required in classroom settings where formal education takes place. Code-switching can only be used to bridge the gap between the text and the pupils' comprehension if there is a communication breakdown. Only in such circumstances are code-switching instances tolerable, if not acceptable. When two languages are sufficiently developed, code-switching will finally produce more intellectual advantages than disadvantages.

Purpose-This review addresses how student organizations are conceptually framed in the scholarly literature-organizations the authors referred to as "ethnicized student organizations" or "ESOs," which include both Black Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) student organizations and ethnically white student organizations such as mainstream fraternities/sororities and clubs that are normalized as not having a racial/ ethnic affiliation. Design/methodology/approach-Critical race theory informs the analysis of 175 articles that address ESOs from 2002 to 2016. Findings-Analysis revealed that a majority of scholarship conceptualizes ESOs in ways that can minimize the role of institutional whiteness where they are positioned as either serving or hindering both individual students and institutional goals. Findings also reveal a smaller body of literature that emphasized institutionalized power dynamics and honors the transformative work of BIPOC students through ESOs. Originality/value-Despite widespread public commitments to diversity among institutions, whiteness remains a core institutional presence. This study illustrates the relationships among student organizations, white supremacy and higher education transformation.

The results revealed that the reason why they join fraternity or sorority is the service, 84.8% agreed. Service that they can give to the community. They join the fraternity is all about making new friends since they meet other people to build a friendship in joining fraternity/ sorority. The disadvantage of joining fraternity or sorority is Hazing, 66.7% agreed. Joining in fraternity/ sorority the members will experience hazing which the respondents conclude that seem negative on them because it can effect their physical and mental health. Base on the results of the data, that the satisfaction in joining fraternity/sorority is medium. From this, we can stated that joining fraternity is half is satisfied and half is not satisfied in joining fraternity or sorority. The researcher recommend that increasing protective factors for individual which may be the way to go for prevention of hazing for them to fully satisfied in joining fraternity or sorority.

This study examines the financial contributions of a regional university's expenditures on the local and state economy using regional impact multipliers from an input-output model. The empirical application uses income and expenditure data from Emporia State University (ESU) in Kansas and estimates income, output, and employment multipliers.

A high-quality education is the key to individual opportunities. It makes people more open to changing behavior and is at the same time the basis for innovation and a condition for the sustainable development of the Earth. Education is a human rightit enables people to improve their political, social, cultural, and economic situation. Every child has the right to education; every person has the right to have his or her basic learning needs metfor a lifetime. However, every day we encounter predictable and unpredictable obstacles in the implementation of quality teaching. Classes in schools, training institutions and universities could not be maintained as usual during the pandemic. The victims of this are children, young people, trainees, and students who also have to struggle with psychosocial stress. However, the thesis we are dealing with refers to the quality in higher education from a general point of view, independent of the challenges currently encountered by higher education institutions. We carried out research regarding the quality of teaching at several universities in North Macedonia, with the emphasis being on the consequences of online teaching during the pandemic, as well as on the way universities are dealing with the negative consequences of the lack of readiness of educational institutions and the unpreparedness of the teaching staff for distance learning. Our goal in this paper is to present current problems and potential solutions that would contribute to overcoming gaps in the education of university students and establishing quality higher education.

Regional Student Groups are groups established and managed by the ISCB-Student Council in different regions of the world. The article highlights some of the initiatives and management lessons from our 'top-performing' Spotlight Regional Student Groups (RSGs), RSG-Argentina and RSG-UK, for the current year (2016). In addition, it details some of the operational hurdles faced by RSGs and possible solutions.

The purpose of my research is to increase the visibility of intersecting identities of LGBTQ+ Latinx students within Latinx student organizations at the University of San Diego. This visibility would signify acceptance within the organizations and student's self-acceptance and personal development. My research questions are: How can I increase awareness of the intersecting Latinx and LGBTQ+ identities within Latinx student organizations? How can I better support student leaders to create safe and brave spaces for Latinx LGBTQ+-identifying students? The outcome of the research was that the culture of Latinx student organizations shifted to acknowledge the lived experiences of intersecting LGBTQ+ identities.

This study assessed the performance of student organizations of the Lyceum of the Philippines University in terms of organization’s objectives, operations, and outputs/achievements, and to determine how student organizations contributed to the development of the institutional goals. Participants of study were the active members and the advisers of all recognized student organizations for the school year 2006-2010. The research used the descriptive method of research with triangular approach where empirical data was supported with qualitative analysis and interviews with student organization members and advisers. The  article  aims  to  understand  whether  the  organizational  culture  transmitted  through organizational socialization tactics adopted in trainee programs is congruent with Generation Z's attributes. The study adopts  a  qualitative  approach,  conducting  a  group  interview  with  trainees  and  13  semi-structured individual  interviews  with  trainees,  managers  responsible  for  trainee  programs,  and  specialized consultants.  The  results  showed  that  organizational  socialization  tactics  transmit  and  reinforce organizational  culture  and  that  newcomers  need  to  adjust  to  an  unfamiliar  environment,  take  on  new roles,  and  learn  core  cultural  elements.  Organizations  should  adapt  socialization  tactics  to  transmit organizational culture to Generation Z efficiently.

Background Students at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) face a fast-pace and challenging schedule with a curriculum comprised of four 7-week terms, resulting in taking final exams four times a year. Library staff expressed concern over student wellbeing through out various stressful time periods throughout the year and were interested in finding ways to help provide ways to help students relieve stress. Additionally, Library staff had observed students using quiet, low traffic areas in the stacks for prayer, in particular Muslim students observing the daily call to prayers from midday through late night hours. Students indicated a lack of a space outside of their residence hall room in which to engage in their daily faith tradition. Staff recognized a need to provide students with a safe, quiet space where they knew they would be welcome to engage in their chosen prayer, meditation or reflective practice.

This paper offers an analysis of the 2021 Netflix mini-series The Chair, a dramedy whose authors sought to give an "authentic" depiction, but also a cultural critique, of the functioning of a contemporary US university and US higher education. Her research interests include controls, signal processing, and engineering education. Specific areas of controls and signal processing research include the design and modeling of intelligent controls, Kalman filters, and automation. This study sought to determine the quality management system of the Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology (NONESCOST) as basis for International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Certification. The descriptive method of research was used in this study. It utilized the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Requirements Checklist and the Questionnaires on the Attitudes towards ISO 9001. The study utilized a descriptive research design.. Findings revealed that the attitude of administrators, teaching personnel and administrative staff’ towards ISO 9001 in terms of benefits, challenges, recommendations and standards did not differ significantly. Campus Recreation and its programs can be used as a way to combat the national trends of decreasing enrollment and retention (Weaver, Forte, & McFadden, 2017; Kampf & Teske, 2013). In fact, 62% of students indicate that Campus Recreation programs are a factor when choosing an institution and 67% indicate that recreation programs were a factor when deciding to stay at a particular institution (Forrester, 2014). As a program within Campus Recreation, Club Sports specifically is perceived to have the greatest health and wellbeing benefits out of all Campus Recreation programming (Lower, Turner, & Petersen, 2013). Public relations accreditation is granted by the national bodies of the Council of Postsecondary Accreditation (COPA) and the Departmeht of Education to the Accreditation Council for Educators in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC). The privilege of accrediting public relations fell to a geoup ii which journalism and mass communications were the primary departments developing public relations curriculum in the early years. More recently public relations programs have been rapidly developing in communication departments, while hostility between journalism and public relations has been intensifying. For the sake of survival, journalism departments have been holding on to public relations programs because of the need to retain student enrollment. As the credibility of accreditation grows, the pressure to be accredited has increased. The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) responded to the interest in a.zcreditation by establishing a certification program for public relations, a process which nearly duplicates the ACEJMC accreditation program. PRSA certification is tied to Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapters and PRSA credentials for advisors, a move unwanted by most academics. Academics resent PRSA, a strong practitioners' group, dictating in academic realms. To resolve the situation, several areas of research and networking need to be pursued. (Author/SG)

Fraternal organizations have existed on campus since the founding of Phi Beta Kappa in 1776 (Baird, 1991; DeSantis, 2007; Phi Beta Kappa, n.d.; Thelin, 2011; Torbenson, 2005, 2009). Empirical evidence shows that membership brings added value to an undergraduate student experience (Biddix et al., 2014; G. D. Kuh & Lyons, 1990). However, there is also scholarship indicating that fraternal organizations often emphasize socializing over academics while their members participate in overt racism, sexism, and exclusivity (Brubacher & Rudy, 1976; Maisel, 1990). This study examined undergraduate business student access and status using Astin’s theory of student involvement (A. W. Astin, 1984) and Bourdieu’s concept of habitus and theory of social reproduction (Bourdieu, 1977). Regional Student Groups are groups established and managed by the ISCB-Student Council in different regions of the world. The article highlights some of the initiatives and management lessons from our 'top-performing' Spotlight Regional Student Groups (RSGs), RSG-Argentina and RSG-UK, for the current year (2016). In addition, it details some of the operational hurdles faced by RSGs and possible solutions.

Progressive student movements have always been vigilant toward the pressing issues of the time. This tradition could be traced to the period of anti-colonial struggle which actually produced the organised student movement in the country. Therefore, the political slogans and organisational engagements of the progressive student movement have always been shaped by its creative engagements and courageous struggles. This time, SFI has decided to mark the conference with the slogan, ‘educate all, employ all, unite all’. The conference slogan is self-explanatory of the priorities of the student movement.

This paper presents an overview of multiracial student organizing and organizations on college campuses. The authors address common challenges that multiracial student organizations face in higher education, how student affairs staff can challenge institutional practices that perpetuate monoracism, and how to support and empower mixed race students to effectively develop strong leadership skills. Several recommendations for working through political and administrative hurdles are also provided.

The purpose of my research is to increase the visibility of intersecting identities of LGBTQ+ Latinx students within Latinx student organizations at the University of San Diego. This visibility would signify acceptance within the organizations and student's self-acceptance and personal development. My research questions are: How can I increase awareness of the intersecting Latinx and LGBTQ+ identities within Latinx student organizations? How can I better support student leaders to create safe and brave spaces for Latinx LGBTQ+-identifying students? The outcome of the research was that the culture of Latinx student organizations shifted to acknowledge the lived experiences of intersecting LGBTQ+ identities.
