O projeto encontra-se em andamento, e sua principal caracteristica e ser altamente integrado, prevendo varias acoes de pesquisa e extensao, inclusive o desenvolvimento de uma pesquisa multilinguagem em arte contemporânea, investigando e realizando uma analise pictorica das obras de Frida Kahlo e o estudo estetico poetico das obras de Pedro Almodovar. O projeto tem por objetivo a construcao de uma estetica constituinte para processos criativos na encenacao, fundamentada na teoria de Antonin Artaud (1997), nas teorias do teatro pos-dramatico de Lehmann (2007), na nocao de Processos Colaborativos e nos estudos de Viewpoints, de Bogart (2005), enfocando uma montagem cenica e desvendando os processos criativos colaborativos neste contexto. RESUMO O artista Robert Wilson é uma importante figura para o teatro contemporâneo, pois seus espetáculos teatrais são compostos de uma virtuosa visualidade, que se constitui em metáforas e signos que precisam ser decodificados pelo espectador de acordo com sua observação perante a obra. Com base em sua trajetória artística e pessoal é que percebemos a construção da identidade cênica e a maneira que são concebidas suas obras. Uma das formas de enunciação poética do artista acontece através da liberdade dada ao fruidor para experimentá-la, fazendo com que seus espetáculos sejam um conjunto de espectros de paisagens a serem elucidadas pelo próprio observador. Devido a isso, para adentrarmos em questões ontológicas evocadas pela visualidade do artista, é necessário que contextualizemos alguns relatos de sua trajetória pessoal. Essa foi uma das principais instâncias que fizeram com que questões conceituais fossem exploradas cenicamente por esse diretor teatral ao longo dos anos. Portanto, para que afunilemos este estudo, iremos visualizar os caminhos da narrativa do personagem bíblico Adão, no espetáculo Adam's Passion. Ademais, nossos materiais metodológicos para esta investigação se imbricam nos pensamentos de ontologia da arte, concatenados por Currie (1989), e pela abordagem da análise de espetáculos de Belém (2014).
ABSTRACT The artist Robert Wilson is an important character to contemporary theater, as his theatrical performances are composed by virtuous visuality, which is reproduced in metaphors and signs that need to be unraveled by the viewers according to their observation about the work. Being from his artistic and personal trajectory that we perceive the construction of his scenic identity, and also the way his works are conceived. For one of the artist's forms of poetic enunciation happens through the freedom given to the audience to experience it, making his performances a set of the spectrum of landscapes to be elucidated by the work's observer. Because of this, in order to enter into ontological issues evoked by the artist's visuality, it is necessary that we go through triggers arising from his personal life, as this was one of the main instances that caused conceptual issues to be explored scenically by this theatrical director over the years. Therefore, for us to funnel this study, we will visualize the paths of the narrative of the biblical character Adam, in the show Adam’s Passion. Furthermore, our methodological materials for this investigation are intertwined in the thoughts of art ontology, concatenated by Currie (1989), and also in the path indicated by the analysis of spectacles approach, by Belém (2014).

AThis article resulted of a research for the production of a dissertation of master's degree in 2008, which it investigates in which dimension the formalization of proceedings originating from the theater-ground of physical line, in which the scene is a determinant of the spoken text, offers concrete ways for a specific problem of the theatrical art: the relation gesturespeech. This text takes as a focus the analysis of a work presented by a Brazilian group that have as base for his dramaturgy the monologue written by the Italian playwright Dario Fo and the work of the Brazilian painter Portinari: Il Primo Miracolo, presented by Roberto Birindelli, of the Cia of the Baby of Porto Alegre.

This paper aims to discuss the imaginary of the contemporary socio-political state, taking the mythos of the show The Decomposed Man (O Homem Decomposto) as a poetic reference. The show was produced in the context of the Núcleo Multidisciplinar de Pesquisa nas Artes da Cena -Laborsatori Teatro, from an adaptation of the theatrical text Le Théatre Décomposé ou L'homme-poubelle, from Romanian Matéi Visniec. In its final format, the show seeks to discuss current issues, such as the decline of human rights, post-truth and the loss of socio-political references. Starting from an imagined future, the current daily life is deconstructed in a scenic environment where the characters expose the current civilizing ruin and contemporary existential nonsense. The Decomposed Man is the result of the latest scenic research developed by the Laborsatori Teatro, in which the scene's polycentric principle guided the creative process, based on the horizontality correlation between the various dramaturgies: body, verb, space and new media. As a result, the paper seeks to discuss the urgency of unfolding the political potential of the imagination and its possibilities of treatment in the context of contemporary theatricality.

Theatre design, the art and technique of designing the space in which a performance takes place, has found a great expression in recent years in such festivals as Carniriv, Abuja carnival, Calabar carnival and African Drum Festival. One of the major designers of the festival environment in Nigeria is Teju Kareem. Festival, especially the highly successful African Drum Festival (ADF), 2017 and 2018, has not attracted proper documentation in scholarship like other areas of technical theatre such as play, costume and lighting design. Also, in Nigerian technical theatre scholarship, Teju Kareem’s designs for festivals have not been closely studied. This study, therefore, examines Teju Kareem’s designs for ADF 2017 and 2018 with a view to highlighting the essentialities associated with designing the festival environment.

The study uses Zangwill’s aesthetic creation theory, which proposes that works of art are created for a particular aesthetic purpose. The theory states that a work of art is the intentional product of aesthetic creative thought. The research combines the interview, image deconstruction and content-analysis methods. The researcher had an interview with Teju Kareem, the major designer of the sets, and Femi Osanyinpeju, who assisted him. Sketches of the sets and the environments designed for ADF 2017 and 2018 were generated from videos and photographic documentations. The videos, photographs and sketches were all subjected to content-analysis.

Teju Kareem’s ‘constructivism’ and ‘selfism’ styles are put together to creatively coordinate a fragmentation of semiotics, icons, symbols and signifiers in order to communicate the importance, beauty and the enhancement of culture. The festival’s location is outdoor environment. An outdoor set is usually bigger than the indoor and requires a more complex technicality. The setting of ADF 2017 and 2018 feature an embodiment of modern technology like the use of LED screens which were placed in strategic places within and outside the festival environment which makes passers-by become a part of the festival. The Hydraulic system was used to power the 18ft drum. The use of banners was also employed in order to create awareness for the festival. The festival’s theme was portrayed through the big image of Hubert Ogunde playing the sacred drum positioned at the entrance of the cultural centre, which has now become the official logo of the festival. The dynamics of the aesthetic elements of technical theatre are critically considered via the utilization of lighting, props, lighting effects and sound in the ADF 2017 and 2018.

The research evolved the ‘image deconstruction’ mode of data collection as a method of generating sketches of set designs from photographic pictures and videos through the application of Computer Aided Drawing (CAD). By examining Teju Kareem’s designing of the performance environments of the 2017 and 2018 ADF, it has bridged the gap in the scholarship of festival environment design.

Resumo: Neste trabalho, analiso a encenação da ópera Dido e Enéas, produzida pelo Teatro Municipal de São Paulo em 2008, no interior de um galpão da nova Central de Produção Técnica, com a direção cênica de Antônio Araújo. O aproveitamento de recursos e conceitos associados ao chamado "teatro ambiental" traz à tona a discussão sobre a teatralidade operística, no qual a tradição enfrenta contemporaneamente acomodações e rupturas. O sucesso de público e crítica obtido pela montagem indica uma mudança de paradigma da recepção do evento operístico. Compõem a comunicação a exibição de trechos da montagem e a leitura de trechos de entrevistas com artistas e produtores envolvidos no evento, realizadas por mim para este trabalho.

Nos últimos dois séculos, foi possível observar pelo menos duas grandes mudanças de perspectiva que determinaram profundamente o rumo das reflexões e da práxis teatral. Na verdade, seria possível observar uma quantidade maior de reviravoltas, dada a realidade cada vez mais plural e multifacetada da chamada cena contemporânea, mas vou ater-me inicialmente a apenas duas, de um ponto de vista histórico e focal. A primeira delas foi o advento do encenador, e quando se fala neste tema há de se ter em conta o fato de que, mesmo antes de se pensarem como tais, muitos foram os profissionais que desempenharam esta função, apesar de não o fazerem com a consciência que, nos dias de hoje, se tem acerca dela, por meio da figura do metteur en scène. Foi a partir desta conscientização e da conseqüente gênese do encenador, como tal, que as questões ligadas à operacionalização do espetáculo, de acordo com leituras e releituras específicas, das obras literárias de suporte, solidificaram-se como campo específico de trabalho, na oficina da cena teatral, gerando novas ferramentas metodológicas. Dito de modo sintético, foi este advento que, aliado à gênese da teoria dos signos, a semiótica, possibilitou a formulação do que hoje se entende por texto cênico ou escritura da cena (cf. PAVIS, 1999). A referência a estas ferramentas metodológicas nos leva à segunda grande mudança a que me referi; que se não tem o status de uma gênese, como foi o caso da do encenador, pode ser considerada como um renascimento, um ponto de mudança. Trata-se da atenção sobre o ator e seus meios de expressão cênicos. É que, antes dos estudos sistemáticos de homens como Stanislávski e Meierhold, é praticamente e somente em Diderot que encontraremos, no mundo ocidental, alguma reflexão teórica mais elaborada sobre a arte do ator, desconsiderando, neste caso, as tradições populares orais, as didascálias gregas e as rubricas medievais, que embora apresentem alguns indicativos no que tange ao assunto, não constituem uma teoria estruturada e sistematizada. Se foi com Aristóteles, em sua poética, que a estrutura dramática da palavra poética recebeu a atenção devida, foi apenas muitos e muitos séculos depois, através destas duas reviravoltas mencionadas, que a reflexão sobre o teatro, enquanto linguagem específica, atingiu plena maturidade, pondo no centro de suas reflexões os poetas da ação no tempo e no espaço, e seus processos específicos de objetivação do espetáculo. Embora muitos tenham sido os encenadores que focalizaram, de modo pioneiro, este artesão da cena, como foi o caso de Louis Jouvet, Jacques Copeau e Charles Dullin, foi reconhecidamente o diretor do Teatro de Arte de Moscou, Constantin Stanislávski, quem melhor organizou e sistematizou um arsenal de estudos sobre o assunto, vinculado diretamente à sua experiência prática. É em Stanislávski e, em especial, na relação antitética que este desenvolveu com um de seus pupilos, o ator e encenador Vsevolod Meierhold, que o ensaísta teatral Jacó Guinsburg entrevê o mais significativo estudo sistemático do ator já desenvolvido, só encontrando paralelos anteriores no Paradoxo de Denis

The wide spread of media-technologies has demanded a change in the modus operandi of human and business operations in the contemporary world. By implication, theatre practice today has gone beyond mere interpretation of the dramatic text to create performances with a contemporary feel. For the theatre, indeed Christian theatre, this proliferation has necessitated a modification in the process of creating and delivering the live performance. Sight and Sound theatres, USA, a
leading light for Christian theatre productions in the United States has provided a template for contemporary performances by introducing technical elements into performance of bible stories on stage. However, there is a lack of documentation on the technical elements used by Sight and Sound theatres in the creation of their remarkable productions which have constantly commanded audience attention and patronage. The study engages Hans-Thies Lehmann’s ‘Postdramatic theatre’ and Ole Thyssen’s ‘Aesthetic communication theory’ as theoretical framework. It engages
the mixed method of data gathering and a content analysis of the performances of Joseph (2010) and Noah (2008). It documents the technical details of theatrical productions at Sight and Sound theatres by examining the elements embedded in the production of the performances understudy. Observably, Sight and Sound Theatres, prioritizes the inclusion of technical elements into performance to enhance performance quality and ensure effective communication of the dramatic story. Hence, by documenting these elements, Sight and Sound theatres provide a template for the creation of performance in contemporary times, and most especially Christian theatrical productions around the globe.

The Sydney Opera House is an iconic symbol of architectural innovation and engineering excellence. Personalities loom large and often shadow the remarkable achievements in realising one of the most complex projects of the time. Traditionally, researchers have gravitated to the architects and physical structure. Activities on its stages are regularly reviewed with critiques of the performances and other visitor experiences published in major newspapers. Thus, there is a gap to examine the supporting role that the building services – the communications, electrical, mechanical, vertical transportation, and theatre services – play in ensuring that the Sydney Opera House can deliver on the architectural promise of being one of the world's leading performing arts centres and tourist attractions. Without signalling, power, ventilation, lifts, and the necessary theatre equipment, the structure is reduced to the status of monument: a structure to be admired but not interacted with. This poster highlights just some of the innovations that have been uncovered in the early stages of this study into the Sydney Opera House’s building services.

The presence of the director in African traditional theatre has long been a contentious issue among scholars of theatre. While some argue for the existence of directors in this context, others, particularly advocates of Euro-American theatre, vehemently oppose this view. Their stance rests on the assertion that African traditional performances lack sufficient theatrical elements to be classified as theatre. However, this study supports the assertion that African theatre indeed exists and endeavors to identify the role of the director within African traditional performances. Moreover, the study explores the essence of African theatre, its merits and drawbacks, and delves into the aesthetics of directing and its implications on the African stage. This exploration aims to equip directors seeking to direct or reinterpret African traditional performances with essential insights and guidance. Employing qualitative research methods such as case studies and content analysis, this research seeks to achieve its objectives. The research notes the scarcity of studies focusing on the art of directing in African traditional theatre, highlighting a significant knowledge gap that warrants further investigation in this area.

İlkelden bu güne değin varolan tiyatro olgusu içinde, gerek aydınlatma karartma, gerekse renkler yoluyla estetik verileri ortaya çıkarabilmek için ışıklamaya gereksinim vardır. Yapılan iş salt elektrik tekniğinin uygulanması değil, teknikle birlikte estetiğin de işlendiği bir yapıdır. IŞIKLAMANIN TARİHÇESİ İlk insanlar güneş ve aya tapıyorlardı. Güneş ilkel çağın simgesi olduğuna göre ve de tiyatro ilkel çağda başladığına göre, doğal olarak ilk önce güneş ışığından yararlanıldı. Milattan dört yüz bin yıl önce Java'da Pekin adamlarınca ateş bulundu. Ateşin keşfiyle ilk kez denetimli ışık kullanılmış oldu. Ateşin bulunmasıyla ışıklandırma aracı olarak meşale kullanılmaya başlandı. Meşalenin yerini daha sonra yağ kandili almıştır. Çağlar değiştikçe artan olanaklar her şeyin bir öncesinden daha iyi olmasını sağlıyor. Hıristiyanlık öncesinde, eski Yunan Tiyatrosunda oyunlar, gün ışığında oynanıyordu. MÖ.400 yıllarında Periaktoy denilen üçgen prizmadan yapılan panolara değişik ateş resimleri yapılıp çevrilirdi.. Ortaçağ, insanlık ve tiyatro tarihi için karanlık bir çağdı. Dinsel etki altında bulunulan bu dönemde tanrı adına yapılan gösteriler için kiliseler kullanılmış, ışıklama aracı olarak kilisenin vitraylarından vuran ışıklardan yararlanılmıştır. Bu dönem ışıklama tasarımına ilişkin fazla bilgi yoktur. 16.yy.da ışıklama ciddi olarak ele alındı. 17.yy.da saptanan ışıklama ilkeleri bu gün hala kullanılmaktadır. Bu dönemde tiyatroda tasarımla uğraşanlar hep mimar kökenlidir. Serlio, Sabattini, Somi gibi uygulamacılar, hem tiyatro tekniği ile ilgili uğraşlar vermiş, hem de ışıklama tasarımının nasıl olacağı konusunda yazılar yazarak uygulama yapmışlar ve günümüze kadar gelen ilkeleri, ortaya çıkarmışlardır. 1664 de Avrupa'da doğal gaz depo edilerek kullanılmıştır. 1784 de gaz lambası biçiminde ve içinde yağ yakılan Argand Lambası kullanılmıştır. 1799 da ilk kez Termo_Gaz lambası patent almıştır. 1802 de William Murdock, kömürden havagazı çıkararak, havagazının kullanılmasını sağlamıştır. 1806 da Londra'da F.A.Wintzler, Lyceum Tiyatrosunda ilk kez havagazıyla çalışan ışık kullanmıştır (Aynı tarihlerde Amerika Philadelphia'da Chesnut Street Opera House'da havagazı kullanmıştır) 1809 da Ark Lambası kullanılmıştır. 1852 ye kadar havagazının kullanımı yaygın değildir. Nedenleri, pahalı olması, yüksek ısı vermesi, ses çıkarması, is ve duman yapması olarak belirlenmiştir. 1860 larda akkor gaz şapkası kullanılmış, böylece is ve duman sorunu bir ölçüde çözümlenmiştir. Çok aydınlat-ma yapılarak. Tek merkezden kontrol sağlanabilmiştir. 1803 de Drummont'un kullandığı Kalsiyum lambası 1860 larda tiyatroya girmiştir. 1878 de Amerika'da Edison, İngiltere'de Swan Akkor lambası kullanılmıştır. 1882 de Paris Operasında Elektrikle ışıklama uygulama-ına geçilmiştir. İlk elektrik lambası kırmızıya yakın, az ışık veriyordu (Normalde lamba ısı aldığında, en uzun dalga boyun-dan ısı yayar. Isındıktan sonra sırasıyla kırmızı, turuncu ve beyaz hale geçer. Bu geçiş çok süratli gerçekleşmektedir). 20. yy.da ışıklama konusunda kısa sürede birçok yeni sistem bulunarak uygulamaya geçilmiştir. Günümüz tiyatroları da olanakları ölçüsünde bu gelişime ayak uydurmaya çalışıyorlar.

This article was elaborated as a deployment of reflections about the relationship between performative dramaturgy creation and production of corporeality in the work of the Spanish group La Carnicería Teatro. The approach is developed from a phenomenological view and focuses on the corporeality present in the scene, which is constructed as a system of tensions and instabilities from the frictions between materiality and discourses, generating perceptual multistability both in actors and in public.O presente artigo foi elaborado como desdobramento das reflexões a respeito da relação entre criação dramatúrgica performativa e produção de corporeidades no trabalho do grupo espanhol La Carnicería Teatro. A abordagem parte de uma visão fenomenológica e foca nas corporeidades presentes na cena, que se constrói como sistema de tensões e instabilidades a partir das fricções entre materialidades e discursos, gerando uma multiestabilidade perceptiva tanto nos atuantes quanto no público

Partindo da montagem do espetáculo Fogo de Monturo, com o Grupo de Teatro Arkhétypos (UFRN), entre os anos de 2014 e 2015, este artigo, grafado em primeira pessoa, busca cartografar uma linha memorial que traça referenciais de construção da dramaturgia, da música e dos elementos visuais deste trabalho, intentando apontar a sua encenação como plataforma prognóstica de um programa político pré-ditatorial instalado no Brasil em tempos de ação bolsonarista na presidência da república, entre os anos de 2019 e 2020.

RESUMO: O presente artigo tem por objetivo colaborar com os estudos sobre a encenação teatral no Brasil e Portugal. Para tanto, ele procura demonstrar a relação entre as diversas modalidades de procedimentos acerca do trabalho do coordenador do espetáculo teatral: ensaiador, diretor e encenador.

This dissertation verses about the attribution and treatment of the lighting design as an effective collaborator to the making and forming of the dance scene and, to illustrate this conception, we present an analysis of a dance performance as a source for discussion. This approach of the lighting-dance relationship opposes its understanding as a scenic element, a term that is constantly found in theater books, to designate the lighting design and other scenic information that function as a support structure to the work itself. We defend the conception that, more than providing visibility-shade, the selected apparatus, its amount, position, and other possibilities of manipulation (or not)-the lighting, co-implicated with all other information and scene proposals, might confer, most of all, structural, conceptual, and aesthetic meanings to the performance. In this sense, we present the understanding of the dance scene as an open system according to the General System Theory adopted by Ludwig Bertalanffy, Jorge Vieira and Adriana Machado. We are still served by cross references about lighting design and space through the works of Jean-Jacques Roubine, Gaston Bachelard and Jean Rosenthal. And to highlight the dynamic of this system, we also show the notion of ambience or environment proposed by Zygmunt Bauman and Johannes Birringer; and the conception about co-evolutionary processes by Fabiana Britto. As result, understood as a system, the dance scene presents the lighting design in a dynamic of coauthorship if there are collaborative strategies between other information present in the scene and between the professionals involved in a collective conception, where lighting co/elaboration normally is integrated in the performance in its construction and forming processes.

Trata-se da body painting como linguagem artística com potencial para produzir interferência urbana, na qual os corpos podem se camuflar, fundindo-se com o ambiente em que vivem, ou destacando-se do espaço da cidade e do ambiente social, provocando efeitos extracotidianos em ações puramente performativas . In today's spaces, there is a need for appropriate conditions in terms of elements of the physical environment, and also with respect to function and aesthetics. Conditions of comfort are important in order for the activities taking place in the space to be performed without any difficulty, fatigue or inefficiency. One such condition of comfort is lighting, an element of the physical environment. Any design of a lighting scheme and its quantity and quality should be based on the requirements of the scheme's users and their activities. In this context, not only the illumination itself but also its specifications, such as color, direction, distribution, changes in level and glare are important for preformation of activities. In a lighting design, luminance distribution and level depends on parameters such as location and illuminance intensity distributions, dimension of space and reflectivity of interior surfaces. This paper examines the case of an open plan office, and evaluates and analyzes the effects of the above-mentioned parameters on artificial illuminance levels, uniform distribution of illuminance, glare values and energy use in lighting schemes. Konfor koşullarının sağlanması, eylemlerin zorlanmadan, yorulmadan ve uzun süre verimli bir biçimde gerçekleştirilebilmesi açısından önemlidir. Söz konusu koşullardan biri de fizik ortam öğelerinden ışığın oluşturduğu aydınlatma konusudur. Bir aydınlatma düzeninin oluşturacağı nicelik ve nitelik gerçekleştirilen eylem ve kullanıcı özelliklerine göre tasarlanmalıdır. Bu bağlamda aydınlığın niceliğinin (düzeyinin) yanı sıra aydınlığın niteliğiyle ilgili özellikler, ışığın rengi, doğrultusu, aydınlığın dağılımı, aydınlık düzeyi değişimleri, kamaşma vb. konular, mekandaki eylemlerin rahatça gerçekleştirilebilmesi açısından önem taşımaktadır. Kapalı bir mekanda yapay aydınlatma düzeni oluşturulurken, aydınlığın dağılımını ve aydınlık düzeyi değişimlerini belirleyen başlıca parametreler aydınlatma aygıtlarının konum ve ışık yeğinlik dağılımları, hacmin boyutları, iç yüzeylerin ışık yansıtma çarpanları vb. olarak sıralanabilir. Bu çalışmada söz konusu parametrelerin, çalışma düzlemi üzerindeki yapay aydınlığın düzeyi, düzgün yayılmışlığı ile aydınlatma sisteminin kamaşma değerlerine ve enerji kullanımına etkisi açık planlı ofis örneği üzerinde incelenmiş ve sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir.

The attributes of shadows produced in architectural spaces is one criterion of lighting design. A shadow has two different attributes; harshness-softness and lightness-darkness. The project entitled "An approach for definition and evaluation of shadow characteristics as a design criterion occured under artificial lighting (2011-03-01-DOP01)" was implemented at Yıldız Technical University to develop an approach for determining and quantifying the characteristics of shadow. For this purpose, the two attributes of cast shadows were treated separately. This study presents the procedures and results of the project regarding the definition and grading of the harshnesssoftness attribute of shadows.

RESUMO: O presente artigo pretende analisar as duas versões da encenação de Calígula ou Como cansa ser romano nos trópicos, adaptação da obra Calígula de Albert Camus pelo Teatro Experimental do SESC do Amazonas (TESC). A montagem foi apresentada em duas versões, nos anos de 1969 e 1971, e carregou características que as diferenciou na estética e na organização cênica, principalmente avaliando o período censório vigente. A primeira versão da montagem é considerada inovadora na região, pois se aproximou dos happenings e absorveu aspectos da contracultura, resultando em uma montagem despojada e interativa. Inspirou também um longametragem ficcional ambientado a partir dessa montagem, entretanto, nunca finalizado. A segunda encenação preocupou-se em aprofundar as questões das personagens por meio de uma linha psicológica, aproximando-se de uma abordagem mais clássica sobre o texto. A metodologia envolve análise do diário de bordo do assistente de direção da segunda montagem, Maurício Pollari, e entrevistas realizadas com ex-integrantes para complementar a bibliografia geral, que inclui autores que analisam o teatro brasileiro, além de algumas publicações disponíveis sobre o grupo. Pretendemos investigar, pelos aspectos destes materiais, os debates estéticos e políticos que nortearam, naquele momento, o grupo TESC, objeto de mestrado da autora, a fim de ampliar a discussão do teatro nortista na historiografia do teatro brasileiro. RESUMO O objetivo desta tese é investigar a práxis cênica como problema estético-visual, cuja origem se encontra, não apenas nas primeiras teorizações do teatro da Grécia Clássica, mas também nos estágios iniciais do drama clássico, uma vez que ambas as abordagens observam, analisam e operam com a posição artística da luz no contexto do espetáculo teatral. A presente tese compreende a práxis cênica como uma obra compósita, cuja efetivação geralmente congrega o trabalho de muitos artistas, i. e., mesmo quando nela se observa a acentuação de um ou outro aspecto, sua natureza se afirma na interação dinâmica entre os diversos aspectos e agentes. Tais elementos interagem em movimentos irregulares, transversalmente articulados, entrelaçando-se ao longo do processo de criação. As investigações que constituíram a tese incorporam os conceitos de imagem cênica e de visualidade, aplicando a análise bibliográfico-documental como estratégia para identificar elementos instigantes para a discussão desses conceitos. A abordagem refere-se a um conjunto de documentos, desde o teatro grego clássico até a contemporaneidade, e descarta o ordenamento cronológico, pois leva em conta as específicas relações entre os textos e a problematização que guia a tese. Procurando analisar a amplitude das interações entre a luz e a cena, o presente trabalho é sustentado por duas convicções: em primeiro lugar, as contribuições da luz estão presentes em momentos muito anteriores à "montagem da luz" de um espetáculo; depois, do ponto de vista histórico, é preciso constatar a presença da luz no teatro, em momentos muito anteriores ao Renascimento italiano, no século XVI, quando apareceram os primeiros teatros cobertos que necessitavam da luz artificial para a realização de espetáculos. Com a leitura de textos e documentos do âmbito particular do tema, a tese indica futuras intervenções, tanto na abordagem teórica da cena em si, quanto no seu planejamento visual.

Com o objetivo de auxiliar na explicitacao do elevado grau de importância, potencia, complexidade e fluidez que podem constituir os sons na cena teatral, esse artigo remete-se inicialmente ao conceito de dimensao acustica da cena. Este conceito se configura por uma ampla rede de relacoes entre as esferas da palavra, da musica e do desenho do ambiente acustico num âmbito de 360°. As referidas esferas e seus respectivos desenhos sao entao delimitados. Em um segundo momento, para a maior abrangencia do conceito exposto, e apresentada a esfera do entorno acustico. Esta abarca a sonoplastia, que e precisada e problematizada para auxiliar e justificar a definicao da esfera do entorno acustico da cena.

Tiyatroda ışığın önemi çokça tartışılan ve statüsü yüksek konulardan biridir. Modern anlamda, sahne sanatlarının ilk günlerinden itibaren ışık, tiyatro ile ilişkilendirilmiş ve günümüze kadar sahne sanatlarında çeşitli işlevlerde tanımlanmıştır. Sahnedeki ışığın varlığına her zaman gölgeler eşlik eder ve yokluğu ve karanlığı yaratmıştır. Bu nedenle ışık, gölge ve karanlık ortak bir alanın öğeleri olarak kabul edilebilir, oranları ve işlevleri incelene bilinir. Işık, gölge ve karanlığın tiyatro tarihindeki yeri ve işlevinde önemli bir dönüm noktasına sahiptir ve bu, Adophe Appia'nın tiyatro alanındaki düşüncesinin ve kuramsal varlığının odak noktasıdır. Appia'dan önce tiyatroda, hayal edilebilecek tek işlev ışıktı; Sahnenin aydınlatılması, sadece sahnedeki unsurları görmek için olmuştur. Ona göre gelecekte tiyatro ışık tiyatrosu olacaktır. Ancak tiyatroda Appia'nın varlığı ile, ışığın yanında gölge ve karanlık sanatın üç kurucu unsuru olarak sergilenmiş, her biri farklı bir konum ve işlev bulmuştur. Bu makalede, Appia'dan önce ve sonra tiyatronun koşulları incelenerek, sahne sanatlarında ışık, gölge ve karanlığın işlevleri ve uygulama oranlarına odaklanılmıştır.

Este artigo discute a improvisação teatral a partir de conceitos empregados por pesquisadores que investigam o improviso nas práticas cênicas, no qual colaboraram para uma reflexão sobre os procedimentos utilizados por determinados coletivos. O texto também discute o papel do espectador em processos teatrais contemporâneos, identificando o uso do improviso como potência no aprofundamento dos estudos cênicos e da experiência de cada artista com o público.

Este artigo propõe uma reflexão acerca das ideias sobre encenação e sua relação com o texto dramático na obra de Antonin Artaud, a partir de seu olhar sobre o quadro As filhas de Loth de Lucas van den Leyden. Tendo como referencial as atuais discussões a respeito da teatralidade e dos postulados pós-dramáticos, o artigo também propõe um apontamento sobre o quanto o teatro contemporâneo é tributário do legado artaudiano.

This research has as a central point of discussion the relationship between the action and the stage lighting, directed to scenes in which, from the exchange between actor and professional lighting, you can develop comic situations. The particularity of these scenes is the involvement of lighting as presentification feature a character in the scene, made possible by game created with the actor. In order to develop this discussion, the author divides the text into three chapters, the first being a memorial of his artistic career and his creative processes, enabling the reader to situate the paths taken by the author for the study. Then discusses possible relationship between performance and lighting, pointing situations where the two are directly related. Finally, an analysis and comparison of two comic scenes in which the actor play with the lighting suggests a character through presentification lighting on the scene. Leads the discussion to the conclusion, proposing the term light-character to set the lighting feature, suggesting characters in the scene.

Este artigo faz uma reflexão sobre a importância e as capacidades que a iluminação cênica tem no desenvolvimento da concepção de um espetáculo. Pensar em iluminação cênica é abrir um enorme leque de possibilidades para pesquisa e criação. O artigo aborda principalmente trabalhos nos quais esse recurso cênico é usado em cenas cômicas. Com base na experimentação prática realizada durante a pesquisa com alunos do Curso de Teatro da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (MG), foi possível refletir sobre as capacidades que a iluminação tem ao se potencializar como sujeito de uma situação cômica, a partir da relação criada entre o(a) ator(atriz) e a luminotécnica.

RESUMO O presente artigo volta sua atenção para o teatro na escola pública, mais especificamente, como é, ou nem sempre é, pensada a questão da iluminação cênica em espetáculos criados neste contexto. Através da experiência com a peça de teatro para crianças "A maior flor do mundo", apresentada em uma sala da Escola Municipal Tanira Regina Schmidt, farei uma análise sobre o processo de criação, montagem e operação da luz do espetáculo e um breve estudo sobre a estrutura geralmente encontrada em escolas públicas. Pretendo, assim, comprovar a importância da iluminação cênica como linguagem significante do espetáculo teatral, investigar suas possibilidades de criação neste tipo de espaço e exemplificar os resultados da pesquisa com o projeto de luz criado.

(Albert Eisntein) VI RESUMO Este trabalho pesquisa as aplicações da iluminação cênica em alguns coletivos teatrais paulistanos no período de 2011-2012, para entender a prática do desenho da luz, constatando a utilização ou não de novos equipamentos e técnicas. Para isso, fez-se o estudo de peças produzidas e apresentadas no período mencionado, e entrevistas com iluminadores, diretores e outros profissionais da cena ligados a grupos filiados à Cooperativa Paulista de Teatro e contemplados com o Programa de Fomento ao Teatro da Cidade de São Paulo. Outra preocupação deste trabalho foi a análise da formação dos profissionais de iluminação desses coletivos.

O artigo trata a sensorialidade na condição de atributo dos espaços cênicos e arquitetônicos onde aconteceram montagens das peças Vestido de Noiva, Roda Vivae Trate-me Leão, as quais foram encenadas no Rio de Janeiro no Theatro Municipal em 1943, no Teatro Princesa Isabel em 1968, e no Teatro Dulcina  em  1977,  respectivamente.  Apresentamos  a  forma  sob  a  qual  a “sensorialidade”  promoveu  a  quebra  da  “quarta  parede”,  buscando demonstrar  que  tal  situação  proporcionou  aos  espectadores  excepcional experiência imersiva que se tornou de interesse histórico. Destacamos que os  teatros  onde  as  três  peças  estrearam  possuem  palcos  do  tipo  italiano; além  disso,  ressaltamos  que,  àqueles  tempos  ditatoriais,  as  referidas montagens  de Roda  Vivae Trate-me  Leãoforam  censuradas  e  os  atores foram vítimas de violência e agressões

Ervasti writes about site-specific and environmental theatre and dance art, drawing on lighting designs she created in the 1980s and 1990s. Karjunen reflects back on the period when video design was introduced to the performing arts in Finland. Kilpeläinen, meanwhile, reviews the history and present-day status of lighting design education at the Theatre Academy. Korhonen provides an autobiographical take on the historical phases of lighting design in Finnish theatre, thanking many of her collaborators over the years. Tenhula draws a long development arc from American dance art to lighting design. Another topic that inspired the contributors, Dimensions of authorship, relates to the work of the lighting designer and different definitions of authorship. Also included here are writings that investigate lighting design and its definition(s) in relation to various professional perspectives and visual-spatial forms of expression. Lighting designer Meri Ekola ponders the preliminary design strategies that could be applied to contemporary performance. Lighting designer Minna Heikkilä unravels the problem of staging nature in a foreign context, using her design process for a musical as an example. Raisa Kilpeläinen writes about expanded authorship and expanded lighting design, opening up these themes with examples. For her contribution, lighting designer and curator Mia Kivinen interviewed artists with a background in lighting design, probing the motivations that led these designers to the field of light art. Lighting designer and scenographer Samuli Laine discusses the fluid working roles in artistic collaborations, perceiving for himself an artistic identity that transcends the role of designer. Lighting designer Anna Rouhu shares her experiences working in Singapore, in a wholly different cultural atmosphere. Lighting designer and scenographer Markku Uimonen considers the trinity of lighting design, scenography, and directing, emphasising the need for all parties to understand each other's methods and tools. The articles of visual artist Tülay Schakir and lighting designer and professor of lighting design Tomi Humalisto contribute to the third perspective included here, On perception, transparency and technology, as both are inspired by the post-phenomenological thinking of American philosopher Don Ihde and the concept of transparency. In her text, Schakir emphasises light as a tool of sight and expression as well as the relation between light on perception and meaning and the impact of this relationship. Humalisto focuses on deconstructing Ihde's primary definitions of technological relationships, using examples to situate them within the field of lighting design.

No capítulo “Dramaturgia, cena e visualidade: desvios de OssO”, o
dramaturgo e encenador João Sanches, professor da Escola de Teatro e
do PPGAC da UFBA, discute as estratégias de desvio do espetáculo OssO
– adaptação teatral do livro homônimo do escritor português Rui Zink,
encenada no Teatro Vila Velha em Salvador. Baseando-se em noções
ampliadas de dramaturgia, o capítulo discute a articulação entre texto,
encenação e visualidade na referida montagem.

Resumo O ensaio e o espaco da realizacao do trabalho cenico. Nesse sentido, o encenador-pedagogo questiona-se sobre qual procedimento deve utilizar para realizar a transposicao de um material textual de modo que va alem da mera ilustracao da narrativa. Como exemplo, pode-se citar o trabalho do encenador russo Vsevolod Meyerhold, que, durante os ensaios, preferia nao se ater ao inicio do material textual, pois se propunha a comecar pelo fim ou pelo climax, enfatizando aquilo que compreendia como mais dificil, para depois atentar ao que considerava mais facil. Entende-se, assim, que o trabalho de montagem se realiza mediante a geracao de conhecimentos, que levam a tessitura de muitos caminhos possiveis para a construcao teatral.

Artigo de História e Estética da Iluminação Cênica que descreve e analisa, por meio de estudos de caso, a prática e a teoria de Richard Wagner, Adolphe Appia, Edward Gordon Craig, Georg Fuchs e Max Reinhardt sobre encenação, na perspectiva da Iluminação Cênica e de suas relações espaciais, propondo um ponto de virada na ideia e no uso do espaço cênico com base numa revolução da utilização da luz elétrica e de suas funções no espetáculo, na passagem do século XIX para o XX. De modo que a linguagem da Iluminação Cênica se torna, a partir de então, ferramenta fundamental de articulação entre tempo e espaço, edição e dramaturgia do visível na encenação moderna.
