edinim olarak iki ana eksen altında toplanan teknoloji edinimi, örgütlerin kaynak bağımlılığını, yetenek ve becerilerini dolaylı ve direkt olarak etkilemektedir. Çalışma kapsamında odaklanılan dış teknoloji ediniminde
(DTE), örgütün sahip olmak istediği teknolojiyi dışarıdan edinme stratejik bir bakış açısıdır. Ancak, bu stratejiyi uygularken edinim sürecinde oluşturulacak takımların veya grupların hangi kriterlere göre seçilmesi gerekliliği önem arz etmektedir. Bu bağlamda yapılan çalışmada uzman kişilerin görüşlerine analiz edilmiş, edinilecek teknolojinin düzeyi yükseldikçe bu teknolojinin edinimi için oluşturulan grupların yeknesaklık düzeylerinin yükseldiği, daha düşük düzey teknolojilerde bu yeknesaklığın sağlanamadığı ve teknik becerilerin yüksek olduğu meslek grupların ön plana çıktığı görülmüştür. Tüm sonuçlar kendi kavramsal çerçeveleri kapsamında detaylı bir şekilde tartışılmıştır.

Mengkaji bagaimana manusia berinteraksi dengan mesin, dengan tujuan memudahkan, mengamankan, dan meningkatkan efisiensi interaksi, mengurangi kesalahan, dan meningkatkan kenyamanan kerja. Kesimpulan: Penerapan ergonomi di tempat kerja memiliki dampak positif besar pada produktivitas, kenyamanan, dan kesehatan pekerja. Abstract
This study assessed the utilization of electronic learning technologies by business educators for effective teaching in Universities in South East, Nigeria. The study involved 85 business educators from 8 federal and state Universities in the South East.  Data was collected using a 45-item structured researcher made questionnaire titled “Utilization of e-Learning Technologies by Business Educators for Effective Teaching Questionnaire (UE-LTBEETQ)” which demonstrated good validity and reliability. The research addressed five research questions using descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation, and five null hypotheses were tested with t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results revealed that business educators in Universities in South East, Nigeria utilized e-learning technologies such as multimedia, internet, blended learning, telecommunication and mobile learning applications (apps) to a low extent. It was concluded that business educators do not utilize e-learning technologies for effective teaching in universities in South East, Nigeria. It was recommended that the government through agencies like National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Ministry of Education should make available e-learning technologies and provide compulsory and regular in-service training programmes such as seminars, in-service course, conferences on the use and operation of e-learning technologies for all practicing business educators in Universities in South East, Nigeria to develop, update and improve their competencies, knowledge and skills on the use of these technologies in teaching.

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and e-government organizations have become the main topics in government organizations in developed and developing countries, due to increased productivity and value from implementing ERP systems and e-government. As such, government organizations have attempted to implement new technologies to enhance performance and achieve the values that the private sector has the ERP system is one of these e-business models. The purpose of this research is to look at how ERP and egovernment may be of interest to government organizations to provide accurate information and quality while minimizing service time for citizens. By developing a theoretical explanation of how ERP systems and e-government are affected by organizational performance values, the study model provides new, necessary insights to develop implementation strategies that take the ERP system and e-government context into account.

The coronavirus (Covid19) epidemic has wreaked havoc on the global economy and businesses, with many unsure whether they can continue to operate. Companies face a wide range of issues as a result of these disruptions, and many are experiencing financial difficulties. Many businesses have had to lay off employees, while others have had to restrict working hours. Due to the fall in production volumes and the tough market conditions, SMEs are battling to avoid bankruptcy. Many markets, particularly in hospitality and tourism, have vanished, while internet buying, communication, and entertainment have experienced tremendous expansion. This paper examines the role of ICT in the survival of SMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic in Lagos State, Nigeria. Three major clusters of SMEs were identified in Lagos; Otigba IT SME Cluster, Oko-Oba Agro-Allied SME clusters and Alaba consumer electronic Cluster. 163 registered SME owners were identified as population size and a sample size of 115 was drawn as respondents. The study used mainly primary data assembled from interviews, questionnaires and surveys. Secondary data was derived from previous researched literatures and books. The findings of the research were analyzed using the SPSS tool and presented in form of discussion tables and charts. Overall, the findings of the research revealed that the use of ICT has significantly helped the survival of SMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic as there was unprecedented growth in the use of Internets for; communication with customers and suppliers, accessing online merchant platforms, social media advertising and networking.

The aim of the study was to understand long run co-integrating and causal relationship between the real GDP per capita and ICT penetration, and to benchmark it against the country ranking presented by the Network Readiness Index (NRI). To achieve this, data for mobile, fixed and internet connections per 100 people is taken from World Bank for 144 countries which are selected through NRI. The sum of connections is defined as the ICT penetration, whereas the second variable real GDP per capita is taken from World Bank Database. Panel unit root tests are performed to assess level of integration between the variables. To find the cointegration relationship, a panel error correction model is used. This study sought to ascertain the level of Microsoft Publisher application competencies possessed by office technology and management (OTM) students for self-reliance. One purpose of the study and one research question guided the study while one null hypothesis was tested at 0.05 level of significance. The study employed a descriptive research design. The HND students of 2019/2020 academic session in the two government owned polytechnics in Kogi State constituted the population for the study while the HND II(final year) students were purposively sampled for the study.

The study was a survey research designed to determine the entrepreneurial skills (personality and general) needed by operators of vocational and technical establishments. The study was conducted in Southeast , Southsouth and Northwest zones of Nigeria. Out of a population of 557 vocational and technical establishments, 459 with minimum of seven employees were purposively sampled and their owners or managers were involved in the study. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection.

The study assessed the strategies for improving entrepreneurship education in Nigeria. evidence from entrepreneurship teacher in Katsina States. The study adopted the survey design. Two research questions were raised to guide the study and two null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. The population of the study is made up of 100 entrepreneurship education teachers in Katsina state. A structured questionnaire was used in collecting data. Data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research question while the null hypotheses were tested using t-test statistics at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that the identified strategies are required in improving and fostering entrepreneurship education in Nigeria. Conclusion was drawn and it was recommended amongst others, that Small ventures should be organize on campus and students should be allowed to be the stakeholders and to participate in establishing and running a business and that Strong linkage should be build with successful entrepreneurs. This will help to sustain entrepreneurship education development.

The essence of entrepreneurship education is to inculcate the entrepreneurship spirit and culture in students in order to enhance their skills. This study examined the relationship between entrepreneurship education and skill enhancement of university undergraduates in Bayelsa State. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey research design which is a systematic gathering of information from respondents for the purpose of understanding and/or predicting some aspects of interest of the behaviour of the population. A sample of 379 university undergraduate students were selected from the population of 27,201 in the four universities in Bayelsa State. This study examined the impact of guided discovery instruction on the academic performance of junior secondary school students in Business Studies in Umuahia North Local Government Area, Abia State. The study involved 424 students selected through random sampling from 12 coeducational public junior secondary schools. Data was collected using a Business Studies Achievement Test (BSAT), which demonstrated good validity and reliability. The research addressed three questions using mean and standard deviation, and three hypotheses were tested with ANCOVA at a significance level of 0.05. The results revealed that students in the experimental group, taught using guided discovery, outperformed those in the control group, instructed through conventional/lecture methods. This suggests a significant difference in mean achievement scores between the two teaching methods. Additionally, female students taught with guided discovery showed better results than their male counterparts, indicating no significant gender-based differences in achievement scores. Female students also achieved higher mean scores overall, demonstrating an interaction effect between treatment method (guided discovery) and gender. In conclusion, guided discovery instruction promotes students' self-learning and active engagement in the learning process, making it a suitable method for teaching Business Studies. Recommendations include providing in-service training for Business Studies teachers in the use of guided discovery and encouraging male students to participate more actively in the classroom.

ABSTRACT
This research study focuses on an investigation into the challenges facing the newly employed secretaries in Ministry of Finance Enugu state.  The study adopted simple random sampling techniques taking into consideration the five ministries and the “secretaries” experience with much emphasis on newly ones.  Instruments for data collection were the questionnaire. In this study, three research question were formulated for the purpose which includes the role expected of the newly employed secretaries in selected ministries in Imo state, the office skills expected of newly employed secretaries in the ministries, and various challenges facing the newly employed secretaries in the ministers. The result of the finding reveals that the general agreements on the first research question are endorsed as strongly agreed.  Also the calculated mean responses for the items under research question two reveals that the respondents strongly agree to all the skills identified as the required office skills expected of the newly employed secretaries in selected ministries in Imo State.  In research question three, four out of the seven challenges indicated were strongly agree to as the challenges facing the newly employed secretaries, while the remaining three were strongly disagreed upon as challenges facing newly employed secretaries.  It was therefore recommended that the executives and indeed all staff should extend their hand of fellowship to the newly employed secretaries they should either be abused or misused.

The main purpose of this study was to determine the entrepreneurial skills needed by business education students for self sustainability in Bayelsa State. The design adopted for the study was descriptive survey. The study was carried out in Niger Delta University, Bayelsa state. The study aimed at assessing the utilization of cloud technology applications for efficient office administration among secretaries at Rivers State universities. Three research questions were posed and answered, while three corresponding hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The research design adopted for this study is an analytic-descriptive design. The population for this study consisted of all 91 secretaries at Rivers State universities. The instrument used for data collection was the "Cloud Technology Applications Questionnaire (CTAQ)". The CTAQ was composed of 30 items graded on a four-point scale. The instrument was subjected to content and validity checks by three experts, and a reliability test was conducted using Cronbach's alpha, which gave an overall coefficient of stability of 0.75. Data gathered for research questions was analyzed using mean and standard deviation, and the formulated null hypotheses were tested with a t-test at 0.05 alpha. The findings revealed, among other things, that secretaries in Rivers State universities used platform as a service (PaaS) for office administration to a lesser extent than they used software as a service and communication as a service (CaaS) for office administration. Also, findings revealed that there is no statistically significant difference in the mean ratings of university secretaries at Rivers State University and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education for their use of platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and communication as a service (CaaS) for office administration. Based on the findings, it was recommended, among others, that universities should create a digital environment to increase and support the use of cloud computing services or applications among employees.

With the advent of Covid-19, the educational system in Nigeria was thrown into comatose as education at all levels was shutdown to curtail the spread of the virus. The closure lasted for a period of time while disrupting the academic activities across the country. Though, the Federal Government directed all tertiary institutions to switched to virtual teaching and learning as alternative form of learning for the achievement of educational programmes, the transition was slow due to the unpreparedness of Nigerian education system among other factors. To this end, this opinion paper proposes technoducation model which incorporates various technological innovations for enhancing access to higher education in Nigeria. Also, it x-rays the challenges constraining technoducation in expanding access to higher education in post Covid era.

Digital economy is being promoted in both developed and developing nations of the world. Nigeria, as a developing country, is not left behind in the promotion of the IT-driven economy across different sectors. Digital economy is the type of economy that is built around computing technologies, solutions, and platforms. Preliminary review of literature in this area revealed that focus has been more on the provision of wireless broadband and other technological infrastructure that are needed to support digital economy deployment. It was observed that digital literacy skills that are needed to drive it successfully are less canvassed for. This paper reported the prospects of having widespread digital literacy skills in promoting the digital economy. It focused on discussing how adequate training and exposure on various technologies should be a thing of priority among government and individuals in the country so that the technology-based economy can be fully harnessed. The study found out the influence of 21st Century skills on employability
of Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) students. Among others,
one of the purposes of Technical and Vocational Education in Nigeria is
to train and improve necessary skills leading to production of craftsmen,
technical and other skilled personnel who will be enterprising and selfreliant. Hence, investigating how 21st century skills has helped the
employability of TVE students is important. Survey research design was
adopted for the study. Multistage procedure was adopted to sample
136 respondents. Self-developed questionnaire titled “Questionnaire on
21st Century and Employability of Technical and Vocational Education
Students” which yielded reliability coefficient of r = 0.78 was used for
data collection. Findings revealed that innovation skill has the highest
acquisition level among Technical and Vocational Education Students
(mean = 3.44) while marketing skill has the lowest acquisition level
(mean = 2.91). Skills acquired during training has influence on
employability of Technical and Vocational students to a large extent
(weighted mean = 3.17). Innovation skill (β = 0.006, P < 0.05); human
relation skill (β = 0.437, P < 0.05); time management skill (β = 0.160, P <
0.05); professional (β = 0.370, P < 0.05); and ICT skills (β = 0. 159, P <
0.05) have significant influence on employability of Technical and
Vocational Education students. It was concluded that coping strategy
skill, financial management skill and marketing skill were not significant to employability of Technical and Vocational Education students. The
study recommended the need to incorporate coping strategy, financial
management and marketing skills in the curriculum of Technical and
Vocational Education. Also, it was recommended that students should in
addition to what might have been acquired in the four walls of
classroom build up a very good interpersonal relationship with people
around them.

The study aimed at assessing the adequacy of innovative and entrepreneurial competency of Technical /Engineering students of Plateau State Polytechnic for self-reliance. It was primarily sought to determine whether they were capable of setting up small-scale business after graduation. Three research questions were formulated to seek opinions of final year Technical and engineering students. A descriptive survey design was adopted where 120 respondents were randomly selected from the School of Technical Education and Engineering. 45 items structured questionnaire was used for the collection of data related to innovation and entrepreneurship competency in order to be self-reliant. The instrument was validated by three experts; two from Plateau State Polytechnic and one from the private sector. Data were analyzed using the descriptive statistic to determine the mean and the standard deviation of respondents. The findings of the study revealed that final year students need innovative and entrepreneurial competencies for self-reliant after graduation. The study also showed that the training provided is not sufficient for the prospective graduates to be able to face the challenges in the myths of job scarcity. Recommendations based on the findings of the study was highlighted which includes the need for a complete overhauling of Technology Education curriculum to reflect the current realities.

This paper examines those challenges that affect the implementation of office technology and management programme in achieving its main objectives. Achieving programme objectives becomes a mirage if the implementation is faulty due to shortcomings and other inadequacies which have been the bane of most of the educational programmes in Nigeria. Office Technology and Management is a new academic programme that replaces the erstwhile secretarial studies in Nigeria which seeks to equip its recipients with the relevant knowledge and skills that are needed in this dynamic world of ours. The study covers Ekiti State in Nigeria. Relevant literatures were reviewed. The data collected were analyzed with mean ratings and standard deviation. It was found out that the curriculum of Office Technology and Management, if well implemented, will, to a great extent, address most of the issues and fears raised by stakeholders. Based on this, it was recommended among others that all stakeholders and management of institutions running Office Technology and Management programme in Nigeria should fund the programme adequately so as to ensure the availability of functional equipment and other resources that are needed in order to overcome the seemingly challenges that arise in the course of implementing the programme as stipulated in the curriculum.

The main goal of this study was to find out how workers in contemporary Nigerian organizations are reacting to the policy that requires the reciprocal use of given names in all formal interactions in the workplace. This work is highly interested in the employee behavioral inclinations of this novel adapted corporate cultural work practices in line with the context of the Nigerian cultural milieu. This study adopted the cross-sectional survey design and obtained data through the questionnaire data collection method to determine an empirical position. A nonparametric, bivariate correlation method was adopted to analyse the data so collected. The findings showed that the familiarity of workers with the policy of using forenames interchangeably in the office contributed directly to a rise in workplace dysfunction. This work brings to the fore the challenges of the transferability of management systems and contributes to the growing discourse on cross-cultural management as well as the universality of management. It was suggested that firms should develop policies, procedures, and strategies that take into consideration cultural diversity on a national and regional scale while noting their contextual applicability.

This study uses an observational design with a cross sectional approach 30 respondents who are currently still working at home during the COVID-19 pandemic have met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instrument used was a questionnaire to assess work from home and a Nordic Body Map (processed in google form format) to measure back pain complaints of employees who work online/WFH. The main intent of the study was to assess the effect of internal controls and organisational performance of the Parliamentary Service of Ghana. The study adopted an exploratory design and interview guide was used to solicit for the relevant information from respondents. The interview guide was highly essential since the researcher had to forgo stringent and impermeable target group for information that were not public but confidential. It also adopted convenience sampling technique to select the study participants. Fifteen (15) employees were interviewed to ascertain the relevant information needed for the study. The study found that integrity, ethical values and competence, management’s delegation, were some control environmental procedures implemented by the Parliamentary Service of Ghana, while the risk assessment procedures that was underway in the organization were, risk analysis, asset identification, and the likelihood of risk. With reference to information and communications procedures, the study also found that internal control procedures have been useful and important since it helps to enhance the dissemination of information and communication in the organization. The study finally indicated that internal controls of the Parliamentary service of Ghana is somewhat effective since there are some characteristics of enforcement periodically to keep their service intact and in shape. The study recommends that the management of Parliamentary Service of Ghana, should endeavor to inculcate good leadership qualities that will seek to enhance the regulations of the company’s affairs both in the short and in the long term.

The disease COVID-19 was so named by the international committee on taxonomy of viruses (ICTV). The disease is of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Corona Virus-2 Strain (SARS-COV-2) which causes dysfunction of the immune system of an infected person. Anybody can be infected by this disease. Most affected are people with diagnosed health conditions such as; disease of the lung and diabetes. Symptom of COVID-19 is known to appear 2-14 days after exposure to the disease. COVID-19 is known as novel because of its virulence and unprecedented speed of transfer from one person to another and the rapid spread in the entire world killing in thousands. The positivity of the negative impact from COVID-19 on society and humanity led to the declaration of the disease at a public health emergency. Sadly COVID-19 and its delta variance in recent time has remained a canker worm eating off the fabric of society. COVID-19 pandemic era and post COVID-19 era has proven to be a social strain on society in all aspect of the economy globally and locally as in the case in Nigeria. This paper shares the researcher's perception on COVID-19 pandemic, its impact on education. Some psychosocial consequences, challenges and lessons to learn are also enumerated. It is concluded that COVID-19 pandemic impacted the society to an extent that it is regarded by the researcher as a social strain.

This study examined teaching methods as correlates of
information brokerage entrepreneurial skills acquisition of
Library and Information Science undergraduates. The study
adopted a descriptive and correlational survey designs. The
population was 200 and 300 levels students of Library and
Information Science of Michael Okpara University of
Agriculture, Umudike. Simple random sampling approach was
used to select 200 students. Instrument for data collection was
a structured questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed using
frequency counts, mean and Pearson’s Product Moment
Correlation Coefficient (r). Results showed that lecture
teaching method was highly employed for information
brokerage entrepreneurial skills. Students acquired
bibliography compilation skills to a very high extent. Positive
moderate correlation exist between teaching methods and
information brokerage entrepreneurial skills. The study
recommended that the federal government and the university
management should provide adequate teaching facilities in

This study was undertaken to identify the factors hindering the effective teaching of ICT courses in Office Technology and Management programs. The need for this study arose because of the observed ineffective teaching of ICT courses in OTM which in turn defeats the aim of the curriculum which emphasized the practical teaching and learning of ICT courses. The study adopted the survey design. The population of the study was thirty-one lecturers/instructors in OTM departments in selected polytechnics in Niger State. The study aimed at assessing the utilization of cloud technology applications for efficient office administration among secretaries at Rivers State universities. Three research questions were posed and answered, while three corresponding hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The research design adopted for this study is an analytic-descriptive design. The population for this study consisted of all 91 secretaries at Rivers State universities. The instrument used for data collection was the "Cloud Technology Applications Questionnaire (CTAQ)". The CTAQ was composed of 30 items graded on a four-point scale. The instrument was subjected to content and validity checks by three experts, and a reliability test was conducted using Cronbach's alpha, which gave an overall coefficient of stability of 0.75. Data gathered for research questions was analyzed using mean and standard deviation, and the formulated null hypotheses were tested with a t-test at 0.05 alpha. The findings revealed, among other things, that secretaries in Rivers State universities used platform as a service (PaaS) for office administration to a lesser extent than they used software as a service and communication as a service (CaaS) for office administration. Also, findings revealed that there is no statistically significant difference in the mean ratings of university secretaries at Rivers State University and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education for their use of platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and communication as a service (CaaS) for office administration. Based on the findings, it was recommended, among others, that universities should create a digital environment to increase and support the use of cloud computing services or applications among employees.

Career readiness of graduating Office Technology and Management (OTM) students of polytechnics in three states of South-East Nigeria was assessed. Career readiness was determined based on the extent to which the students possessed the attitudes and skills required for advancing on the OTM career path. The skills were aggregated into six clusters: office, managerial, entrepreneurial, ICT (information and communication technology), communication, and socio-psychological skills. Two research questions guided the study, namely (i) the extent to which the graduating OTM students possessed the requisite skills, and (ii) the career readiness index of the students. The study found out the influence of 21st Century skills on employability
of Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) students. Among others,
one of the purposes of Technical and Vocational Education in Nigeria is
to train and improve necessary skills leading to production of craftsmen,
technical and other skilled personnel who will be enterprising and selfreliant. Hence, investigating how 21st century skills has helped the
employability of TVE students is important. Survey research design was
adopted for the study. Multistage procedure was adopted to sample
136 respondents. Self-developed questionnaire titled “Questionnaire on
21st Century and Employability of Technical and Vocational Education
Students” which yielded reliability coefficient of r = 0.78 was used for
data collection. Findings revealed that innovation skill has the highest
acquisition level among Technical and Vocational Education Students
(mean = 3.44) while marketing skill has the lowest acquisition level
(mean = 2.91). Skills acquired during training has influence on
employability of Technical and Vocational students to a large extent
(weighted mean = 3.17). Innovation skill (β = 0.006, P < 0.05); human
relation skill (β = 0.437, P < 0.05); time management skill (β = 0.160, P <
0.05); professional (β = 0.370, P < 0.05); and ICT skills (β = 0. 159, P <
0.05) have significant influence on employability of Technical and
Vocational Education students. It was concluded that coping strategy
skill, financial management skill and marketing skill were not significant to employability of Technical and Vocational Education students. The
study recommended the need to incorporate coping strategy, financial
management and marketing skills in the curriculum of Technical and
Vocational Education. Also, it was recommended that students should in
addition to what might have been acquired in the four walls of
classroom build up a very good interpersonal relationship with people
around them.
