and emotional dimension demonstrates a prominent violations, absences and needs in developing and treating the convergent constructs in both dimensions. To do so, we will attempt to establish an interpretative proposal for the problem that includes the cognitive and emotional dimensions, as well as fundamental aspects to understand new and improved theories that articulate emotions and movements in committing sex crimes.

This research study compared the efficacy of three treatment methodologies for adolescent males in residential treatment with conduct disorders and/or personality dysfunctions and documented problems with physical and sexual aggression. The results showed that Mode Deactivation Therapy, an advanced form of cognitive behavioral therapy based on Beck's theory of modes, was superior to traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Social Skills Therapy in reducing both physical and sexual aggression. At the same time, Mode Deactivation Therapy was the only treatment of the three that significantly reduced sexual aggression for these youth.

espanolEste articulo de revision tiene por objeto conocer la evidencia de validez disponible, en America Latina, de los principales instrumentos en el ambito internacional para la valoracion del riesgo de reincidencia sexual en ofensores sexuales adolescentes. Para ello se realizo una revision bibliografica descriptiva, en la que se utilizaron palabras claves afines con la materia analizada, a traves de las bases de datos ISI Web of Science y Scopus y del metabuscador Google Scholar.
