Associated Production

A measurement of the cross section of the associated production of a single top quark and a W boson in final states with a muon or electron and jets in proton-proton collisions at $$ \sqrt{s} $$ s = 13 TeV is presented. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 36 fb−1 collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC in 2016. A boosted decision tree is used to separate the tW signal from the dominant t$$ \overline{\mathrm{t}} $$ t ¯ background, whilst the subleading W+jets and multijet backgrounds are constrained using data-based estimates. This result is the first observation of the tW process in final states containing a muon or electron and jets, with a significance exceeding 5 standard deviations. The cross section is determined to be 89 ± 4 (stat) ± 12 (syst) pb, consistent with the standard model.

We draw a page from game theory and use Shapley values to make Boosted Decisions Trees interpretable in terms of kinematic measurables and provide physics insights into the variances in the kinematic shapes of the different channels that help us complete this feat. Tratam-se de exemplos de formas autogestionárias, coletivas, solidárias e cooperativas de produção da existência em que trabalhadoras e trabalhadores buscam resistir ao individualismo, ao mercado, à competição e à maximização dos lucros, demonstrando que possuem uma específica concepção de mundo e de trabalho. Assim, a partir do materialismo histórico dialético, o presente escrito tem como objetivo refletir acerca de experiências de existências e resistências frente ao capital de comunidades tradicionais localizadas no Mato Grosso. 

This text aims to present a brief discussion about the existence of the associated production and agro, the unique culture of work and experience of some principles of Bem-Viver, which give the historical basis for the imposition of 'Feast of exchange of seeds crioulas' in traditional communities peasants from cuiabana. This issue is being discussed by the Group of Studies and Research on Work and Education (GEPTE) of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). It is a theoretical research and field on the matter concerned with analysis, wheels of conversations and interviews.

This study aims to analyze the concepts of rural education present in scientific articles published in Scielo database and in Revista Brasileira de Educação do Campo, from 2016 to 2021. Therefore, we have used a systematic literature review in a qualitative meta-analysis typology and, based on the review protocol, we have performed searches with the descriptors "rural education", "conception" and "rural school". After mapping the productions, reading the titles, keywords and abstracts, applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, thirteen (13) works were selected and analyzed in that study to answer the question: what are the conceptions of rural education present in scientific articles published in Scielo database and in Revista Brasileira de Educação do Campo – Brazilian Journal of Rural Education, from 2016 to 2021? The research has showed that the evaluated works present a conception of rural education from the perspective of law, the result of struggles of peasant social movements. It has also showed that only 5.67% of the articles published in the selected databases on the subject of rural education debate the issue of conceptions.

The conquest of rural settlements in the Brazilian countryside has led to the certainty of new daily challenges for the settlers, including the struggle for public policies that boost production, income generation, and good quality education. The article aims to analyze the use of social cartography in the Antônio Conselheiro Settlement, located between Ocara and Aracoiaba in Ceará, Brazil. The methodological procedure is part of a research project carried out between 2016 and 2018 and was developed based on pedagogical workshops conducted with students of the Education Service for Youth and Adult Rural Workers (EJA) at Raimundo Facó School. Additionally, fieldwork, interviews, preliminary sketches, and the collective map were used in the research. This Social cartography was developed at a time when the communities were experiencing conflict with public agencies and looking for ways to demonstrate their work and autonomy in the management of spaces for production, marketing, and leisure. The results show a consolidated rural settlement with the production, consumption, and commercialization of agricultural and artisanal products. The introduction of social cartography to the community through adult elementary education is a differentiated approach to the dialogue between popular and geographic knowledge and is fundamental for interpreting the peasant reality.

This paper results from the research on the (im)possibilities of rural school regarding the promotion of agricultural familiar succession in the city of Barra Bonita (SC/Brazil). The research sought to understand if the public policies related to rural education promote the permanence/succession of young people in country properties. It is a qualitative research of bibliographical character, assuming a dialectic and critical orientation. The paper is organized in two parts: the first one focuses on the conceptual notion of rural education, approaching agricultural schools and the public policies created for this context. The second one reflects on the (im)possibilities of rural schools regarding contributions to familiar permanence/succession. It is anticipated that public policies and actions addressed to young people in the countryside are fragile when it comes to promoting the succession and the permanence of these young adults in the country properties from the city of Barra Bonita (SC). In addition, the paper highlights the need for creating public policies for young people that are coherent with the Brazilian diversity, in a way that they can provide incentive, human development and generation of income for the ones who want to live in the countryside.

The main idea of this study is to discuss the relationship between peasantry, the educational process of peasant work and school. To handle this issue, readings about peasantry, Countryside Education and Pedagogy of Alternation were done, as well as the analysis of data from the doctoral research carried out in the northern territory of Espírito Santo, Southeastern region of Brazil, where rural pedagogy has been expanded to several public schools. Pedagogy of Alternation, one of the ways found by peasants to educate their children, brings out the rural voice and the productive and cultural practices to the formative process, being the land, labor and family triad the pillar of this experience. What we found in this research was a practice of the peasant movement and its attempt of including the school in the maintaining of this triad with the purpose of educating critically, involving an educational project that meets emancipation horizons collectively built-not only schooling.

This article results and dismembered the master's
research on "environmental conflict and climate change under the gaze of peasant youths Poconé, Mato Grosso," aimed at understanding perceptions of youths on environmental conflicts and existing climate change on our traditional community Lady of Lourdes (known as Zé Alves) and the Remnant Quilombo community Orangery, both located in the municipality of Poconé, MT. In this plot also articulate reflections to understand the dilemmas of "getting in and out" experienced by youths
since the peasant youths of both communities are being made invisible by agribusiness advances that transform natural goods resources, to meet the economic perspective, making it impossible to remain in the territories. The investigative proposition relied on the qualitative method, with the methodological tactics the Social Map. For information were conducted seven field work, two mapping seminars, twelve semi-structured interviews with the youths, besides secondary sources (reports, articles and census) of the surveyed communities. We understand that the rural-urban migration are mainly related to lack of education and job opportunities and income, as well as non-execution of public policies thought to this reality.

In the field of cognitive psychology, the study of learning and teaching strategies has aroused a growing interest. This work shows the effect of the application of a module called "learning to learn" applied to learn strategies in students of the second term of the National University of the Amazonia from Peru. The quantitative approach was used, the design was quasi-experimental and the instrument a self-reporting questionnaire. The sample was a group of one hundred twenty-three university students (n=120). The effect of the module learns to learn does not present a significant improvement (p>0.05) in the learning strategies. Maturation and internal motivation were factors that could explain this finding.
