This document provide a basic information about designing a mobile robots for beginners. At the start going to be describe some basic math formulas for correct design of robot chassis. After that is possible to talk about a micro-controllers, sensors and communication between them.

For more than a decade now, robotics in education has gained a lot of attention from teachers, researchers, politicians, authorities and other stakeholders. During the years, a great number of methodologies, courses, projects, initiatives and competitions had been developed. In this paper, we present a new design methodology for educational robotic platforms. Using 3d modeling freeware, open-source 3D-printer and recycled plastic filament as a starting point in our designs would help to create custom robots hardware kits with very little effort.

These research papers provide mobile robot engineering encompasses techniques from a wide variety of scientific and engineering domains. When design a robot, the whole system should be considered. This allows the developer to take into account all the factors that influence the robot itself. In this research paper used of robot system design architecture components and also used of robotic environments.

In this paper it is discussed the educational, research and development outcomes that are expected to achieve from a new robot competition, proposed and conceived by the authors, that was recently included in Robotica (the main Robotics Portuguese Competition). The robot competition takes place in an emulated factory plant, where Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) must cooperate to perform tasks. To accomplish their goals the AGVs must deal with localization, navigation, scheduling and cooperation problems, that must be solved autonomously. The presented robot competition can play an important role in education due to the inherent multidisciplinary concepts that are involved, motivating students to technological areas. It also plays an important role in research and development, because it is expected that the outcomes that will emerge here, will later be transfered to other application areas, such as service robots and manufacturing.

Robotics has taken on a multifaceted role with outstanding development such as in the development of robotic technology and automation, medicine, and industry. This research aims to encourage students to practice their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It results in practice, analyzing and solving problems, and working together as a team. They will also be able to participate in a robot contest to find a Thailand representative for the upcoming Asia Pacific robotics competition. Researchers and students from the Department of Electrical Education, Faculty of Industrial and Technology Education, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi under the team "MODFIRE@FIET" joined the robot competition from 2013 to the present. Each competition will evaluate the performance of the robot with a unique criterion. This results in the student's commitment to develop a robot to work effectively under the circumstances. The team has developed the knowledge of robotics and automation and controls the main work with Arduino. Each contestant will have two robots, a Manual Robot and an Automatic Robot. Both of these robots have different designs, structures, and mechanisms from generation to generation, under the rules of the year to reduce the system crashes. Our team is focused on designing robots with a simple and appropriate mechanism to carry out the mission. In the future, the researcher aims to provide the robot as part of the development of teaching and learning for students. Let them know, analyze, and further their knowledge to apply to technology. 

As research is taking root in various branches and interdisciplinaries of computer science robotics is one of the field growing day by day, robotics is discipline that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots.

This paper treats about the design of autonomous mobile robot capable of build the highest tower in minimum time employing blocks of a given size. The robot is designed and constructed, starting from zero, including movement system, automatic collect and selection system, battery and electronic circuits. The artificial intelligence is introduced by microcontroller programming. The paper concerns about the strategy developed for robot construction for participation at robotic competition

Funding from 2002 DoD Infrastructure support program for HBCU/MI under BAA No. DAAD19-02-R-002 provided support for Tennessee State University to purchase five (5) ATR robots with associated laser scanners, navigation and inertial sensors, communications and speech processing tools to enhance the research capabilities of existing robotics laboratory. The impact of this equipment led to completion of 9 undergraduate senior capstone design projects and 3 masters' theses during 2002-2004. In addition undergraduate research group is formed to enrich the electrical and mechanical engineering curriculum and enhance the career opportunities of our students. The addition of new robots has enhanced our research in the area of cooperative mobile robots. The robots are able to communicate with each other and humans through wireless communication, computers and hand held devices

This paper deals with the design of a battery operated Mobile Robot with various modes of its control. The Mobile Robot can be operated in three different modes, namely Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF), Radio Frequency Input Devices (RFID) and laptop control with ZigBee technique, thereby enabling a multi-dimensional control system. The Mobile Robot is a single seated carrier and can also be used to transport substantial amount of physical load for short distances. It is a prototype of a multi-use robot having a wide range of applicability according to the requirement after suitable modifications. There are four microcontrollers used in this mobile robot. The input to microcontroller sent via the devices like cellphone, RFID and laptop. Thus it can be easily applied inside a hospital to carry patients, as a wheel chair for physically challenged people, to carry goods in large shopping malls, as golf cars, can also be used for industrial purposes with adequate modifications. It uses a DC power source and not any conventional energy sources. Hence it is ecofriendly and this Mobile Robot can be termed as an advancing step in the field of mobile robot.
