Comfortable digital education: problems and development prospects

This study aims to contribute to the literature on digitalization in education. In the study, a semi-structured interview form is used. The experts working in the educational field in private institutions were interviewed for this study. The study examines the effects of digitalization in education; although there are no specific studies for education departments in the private sector in the literature, it has been seen that the effects of digitalization are similar. The study also shows different factors such as the people's fears about digitalization in education, lack of authentic educational materials, its ineffectiveness compared to face-to-face education, and the scarcity of digital literacy.With digitalization in education, arranging educational content using technological opportunities, creating educational materials combined with virtual reality, and applying gamification in education becomes important in terms of the effectiveness of education. This paper reflects on the data gathered from research in June 2020 on the experiences of teachers and school management during the online teaching imposed due to the COVID 19 pandemic. The research compiled data from 576 teachers, 61 principals and school support teams from 30 primary schools in urban and rural locations in the country and with 5 different languages of instruction (Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, Serbian and Bosnian). Information gathered from the respondents of the questionnaires indicated that as many as 10.2 per cent of teachers rated online teaching with the grade "unsatisfactory", 15.8 per cent rated it as "satisfactory", and 41.7 per cent as "good". Furthermore, this research points out that the ways in which online teaching was performed varied widely among schools and among teachers, with the most common being assigning homework, applying existing platforms and sending presentations. ICT training organized by schools and the education authorities, and the equipment provided by the schools, had the least contribution in the success of teaching. On-line teaching in a time of crise revealed shortcomings in terms of teachers' competences in implementing engaging activities for students and performing different types of distance teaching methods. Although digitalization was somewhere on the agenda globally, very quickly it became a priority all over the world, including in our own country, and specifically in education.The research findings in this paper are considered in the context of The European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu) that aims to provide a general reference framework for the developers of digital competence models and is directed towards educators at all levels of education, including general and vocational training, special needs education, and non-formal learning contexts. Even though this framework was developed and adopted in 2017, during the pandemic it showed advantages to be addressed by many educators and policy makers. The adaptation of this framework would provide a more detailed and practically oriented approach that will enable setting the quality and effective policy and evaluation of the digital competencies of teachers in our country and will improve the teaching according to the new technological advances in society. In addition, part of this framework describing learning competenes for students can assist in reviewing the standards that have already been developed for learning at the end of primary education in the country.

This article focuses on the importance of digitalization in the modern society. Following the National Statistical Institute data in regional and age aspects that presented different dimensions of digitalization and its entry in the society are analyzed. The digitalization of education is shown, following various policies and measures taken at the national level. An important element of the analysis is the data on online learning and arguments of different groups of parents about its place in the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main conclusion of the article is that in Bulgarian society there is a relatively good digital environment that is an important prerequisite for the development of the digital skills in the modern societies.

The Coronavirus advance is forcing schools and universities to revise their teaching methodologies. With the closure of the institutions, thousands of teachers and millions of students will have to find new ways of teaching and learning overnight, which will be a huge challenge. We cannot expect everyone to suddenly adapt to these new times. We are aware of the numerous Internet connection problems, but it is a great time to reinvent ourselves and build the courage to test the use of technological tools already available to structure alternatives in the distance education format. Thinking outside the box can help mitigate the momentary problem, as well as collaborate to strengthen digital culture and move towards a new education.The good news is that many teachers have been putting aside prejudices and are being resilient, seeking to understand the potential of available resources, not shying away from seeking and implementing technological solutions that before the virus were seen as secondary and have now become standard tools to teach synchronous and asynchronous classes, share content, correct assignments, answer questions and exchange knowledge. In the beginning, many activities that were previously carried out exclusively in person took a longer time when they started to be performed online. But as the virtual became the new real, students became more engaged and plunged headlong into relevant online learning experiences. Through applications and software, classes continued according to the school calendar.This study aimed to understand how teachers adapted to digital resources to face the limitations caused by the pandemic. Aim. The aim of the article is to map out the current issues related to education in the era of digital and technological changes on the basis of theoretical and research findings. Methods. The published article is based on the theoretical and research findings of various authors and offers a critical reflection on some selected current aspects of education in the digital world, such as the problem of digital dementia and digital intelligence, the addiction associated with it, parenting styles, the development of critical thinking and the formation of a value system. This article is aimed to describe the profile of educands in the digital era which obtained through the research of "Pedagogic in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0". The research method used is the phenomenology research method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with the Pedagogics Study Program students who work as educators. The results of the study include (1) Education 4.0: Digitalization of Education; (2) Challenges of Education 4.0; and (3) Education which is relevant to The Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. Based on those findings of the research results, it is understood that the era of industrial revolution 4.0 is closely related to the development of the digital world which provides many opportunities and challenges, among others from the educands factor. The profile of educands in the digital era needs to be understood as the basis for considering the application of educational concepts which is relevant to the digital age. Through analysis of the research findings, the profile of the educands presented in this article, namely, the use of digital technologies and changes of educands' characters in the digital era. Educands use digitals technologies and internet access to obtain knowledge and information, socialize and for entertaining.
