The information and communication technologies (ICT) is fast developing all over the globe resulting to evolution of Cloud computing and the Internet technologies, to the extent that students and other users are realizing the advantages of cloud computing in learning processes and use of Internet by obtaining relevant information with regard to the learning process as well as its effect on learning. The study was carried out to find the assessment on cloud computing need of students of computer science education in Enugu state Universities. In carrying out the research, 4 research questions and 4 null hypotheses guided this research. Population for this research work is 1020 students. This consists of students of computer science education department in University of Nigeria Nsukka and (ESUT) Enugu state of Science and Technology. The entire population was studied. Data was collected with questionnaire and was analyzed with mean and t test. After carrying out the analysis, it was revealed that cloud computing is utilized but not to a very large extent in storing of student data, also it was revealed that certain constraints hinder the utilization of online application of student registrations in Universities in Enugu state. It was recommended that a network-based management for cloud computing should be provided for universities in Enugu state to enable the improvement of students' academic performance in computer science education in Enugu state universities.

Abstarct Cloud computing is a new trend in Information Technology (IT) and its paradigm emerged in 2007 (Nasir & Niazi, 2011). Due to the growth of cloud computing, the question arises as to what factors may influence educational technology experts and information professionals when adopting new technologies (such as cloud computing) within their organizations. This study focuses on these two groups particularly because of their close relation with information technology. The research seeks to explore whether these two groups are familiar with technological innovations and whether they are ready to accept them. Furthermore, the study will investigate whether there are differences between these two savvy technology groups concerning adopting cloud computing.

Cloud computing is an information technology service that can be used or accessed by users to manage data and applications through the internet network. Software as a service is one type of cloud computing service in the form of software. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use and students’ acceptance on cloud computing types of Software as a service including the most used applications, factors that influence usage, benefits obtained, and to find out their use related to learning and learning activities in school. The researcher used a mixed method research design approach to obtain qualitative and quantitative data. Cloud computing provides a shared platform of resources required for computing, that can be made available and release on the user " s demand to serve a wide and constantly expanding range of information processing needs by considering the necessity and elasticity of demand. Due to the huge benefits of this technology, is growing rapidly and being accepted in various applications such as business, education, government etc. In this paper, we study how cloud computing can benefit professional education in India. We also discuss the cloud computing educational environment and explore how universities and institutions may take advantage of clouds not only in terms of cost but also in terms of efficiency, reliability, portability, flexibility, and security.

The cloud computing is becoming an adoptable technology for many organizations with its dynamic scalability and usage of virtualized resources as a service, through the internet. Cloud computing has a significant impact on the educational environment, it's an excellent alternative for educational institutions which are especially under budget shortage in order to operate their information systems effectively without spending any more capital for the computers and network devices. Tertiary institutions take advantage of available cloud-based applications offered by the service providers and enable users to perform business and academic tasks. This paper will review the cloud computing infrastructure in the educational arena, especially in the tertiary institutions where the use of computers are more intensive and what can be done to increase the benefit of common applications for Academic staff, students, lecturers faculty staff, developers, researchers as well as governmental and private sector. The cloud is a combination of technological resources such as networks, servers and applications in a common tertiary educational series of services and storage to their specific needs. The objectives of this research were to synthesize the features, elements, develop models, and evaluate the models of cloud computing Resource Management in Tertiary Education. The research findings were as follows: the models Resource Management in Tertiary Education by cloud computing technology comprised of 6 elements: Cloud Computing Technology, Curriculum, Center, Connectivity, Client and Consumer, which are called C6. It is a very popular technology in the present time to be used for administration in tertiary education of Nigerian tertiary institutions. It is the integration and sharing common resources of computer technology including software, hardware and database, the results evaluated by 3 experts showed that the model of cloud computing Resource Management in Tertiary Education system had appropriateness at a high level. Advance in technology offers new opportunities in enhancing teaching and learning. The new technologies enable individuals to personalize the environment in which they work or learn a range of tools to meet their interests and needs. Nature and educational potential of cloud computing in order to exploit the affordance of its impact in teaching and learning in a tertiary education context. It is evident that cloud computing has a significant place in the tertiary education landscape both as a ubiquitous computing tool and a powerful platform. Although, the adoption of cloud computing promises various benefits to an organization, a successful adoption of cloud computing in an organization, particularly in educational institutes requires an understanding of different dynamics and expertise in diverse domains. The purpose of the paper is to show the need for literacy education from a variety of services available in the cloud computing as a specialist information field of activity. Teaching at university in the field of cloud computing related to the management of information could provide tangible benefits in the form of useful learning outcomes. This allows students and future information professionals to begin enjoying the benefits of cloud computing SaaS model at work, thereby freeing up of buying expensive licenses and installing on your PC commercial software. Paper brings wider issues of cloud computing. The aim of the presentation is to show the ability to use a variety of services and applications available in the cloud as a workshop. These include: office and communication, tools, graphics editors, presentation software, dropbox, applications allowing the managed time and many others. The term "cloud computing" is related to the concept of virtualization. Moreover, paper also addresses the issue of data security in the cloud.

Universities around the world especially those in developing countries are faced with the problem of delivering the level of information and communications technology (ICT) needed to facilitate teaching, learning, research, and development activities ideal in a typical university, which is needed to meet educational needs in-line with advancement in technology and the growing dependence on IT. This is mainly due to the high cost involved in providing and maintaining the needed hardware and software. A technology such as cloud computing that delivers on demand provisioning of IT resources on a pay per use basis can be used to address this problem. Cloud computing promises better delivery of IT services as well as availability whenever and wherever needed at reduced costs with users paying only as much as they consume through the services of cloud service providers. The cloud technology reduces complexity while increasing speed and quality of IT services provided; however, despite these benefits the challenges that come with its adoption have left many sectors especially the higher education skeptical in committing to this technology. This article identifies the reasons for the slow rate of adoption of cloud computing at university level, discusses the challenges faced and proposes a cloud computing adoption model that contains strategic guidelines to overcome the major challenges identified and a roadmap for the successful adoption of cloud computing by universities. The model was tested in one of the universities and found to be both useful and appropriate for adopting cloud computing at university level.

Ghana has become a preferred choice of destination for higher education among other African Countries. Better Infrastructure and Quality Teaching compared to other African countries are luring international students to Ghana. Increasing number of foreign student population has not only augmented the revenue generation in the Country but also amplified a healthy competition among the public and private universities. The recent parade of cloud service providers into Ghana shows that Ghana is one of the fastest emerging economies among other African Countries and also there is an extensive opportunity for them to influence the young minds in educational institutions to familiarize their products so that they can reap benefits later when these students get into decision making positions in the industry, academia or government. Though educational institutions and service providers have made huge investments by foreseeing the demand, recent changes in the economy has given a big threat in terms of student recruitment and retention. As technology has extended its hands to solve all the socio and economic problems, it’s really viable to seek the support of the same technology to crack these age old problems. This paper will focus on the services rendered by Microsoft, Google, IBM and Oracle to increase the student recruitment and retention in public and private universities of Ghana.

Cloud computing has become increasingly popular among users and businesses around the world, and education is no exception. Cloud computing can bring an increased number of benefits to an educational setting, not only for its cost effectiveness, but also for the thirst for technology that college students have today, which allows learning and adopting to these new technologies easier for them. This study aims at investigating how cloud computing is perceived by college students and which factors have a tendency to encourage or discourage them to accept the cloud computing as part of their course curriculum. The results in this study reveal that all five factors, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived security, perceive speed of access, and perceived cost of usage are factors that play an important role in encouraging students to accept cloud computing as part of their core curriculum.
