Privacy, Security and Trust Issues in Cloud Computing

Internet users are increasing at a logarithmic scale. Users are producing huge amount of data everyday across the world which is creating huge amount of data traffic. In this context data capturing , data analysis and the analysis sending it back to the stake holders is order of the day. In this scenario cloud plays an important role in big business. When cloud is playing an important role, users are using the cloud by generating data they are actually sending that data to the cloud. Here instantaneous information transformation from users to the cloud is one of the important component that is everyday happening today. Whatever data that is being produced should reside in the cloud. Whatever data which is available in the cloud should be available to the user back. Cloud Computing has emerged as a new technique for delivering services over the internet. It is earning popularity over traditional information processing system for storing and processing huge volume of data. The cloud makes it possible for users to access their information from anywhere at any time. This is especially helpful for business that can't afford the same amount of hardware and storage space as a bigger company. Small companies can store their information in the cloud, removing the cost of purchasing and storing memory devices. The organization who uses cloud to store their private data, they are concerned about the security, trust and privacy issues related to its adoption. In this paper we recognize the roles of security and trust in cloud computing environments from the viewpoint of organization who would hand over their private information to the cloud computing provider.

Cloud computing is a rising paradigm for large scale infrastructures. Cloud computing is a technology that being hugely adopted by many organizations like Google, Microsoft , Facebook, Amazon so that the resources are available to multiple users at a time over the internet on demand at any place and any time. Cloud computing opens up a new world of opportunities for entrepreneurships for small company to large company, but with these opportunities there are numerous security challenges that need to be considered and addressed prior to migrating to a cloud computing .Security and privacy issues present a strong barrier for users to use Cloud Computing systems. sThe security problem of cloud computing is very important and it can prevent the quick development of cloud computing. We have discussed the related work done by different author in cloud security[10]. This paper discusses security issues necessities and challenges that cloud service providers (CSP)and user face in cloud atmosphere ,and we also assess how security, trust and privacy issues occur in the situation of cloud computing and discuss ways in which they may be addressed.

Cloud computing transforms the way information technology (IT) is consumed and managed, promising improved cost efficiencies, accelerated innovation, faster time-to-market, and the ability to scale applications on demand (Leighton, 2009). According to Gartner, while the hype grew exponentially during 2008 and continued since, it is clear that there is a major shift towards the cloud computing model and that the benefits may be substantial (Gartner Hype-Cycle, 2012). However, as the shape of the cloud computing is emerging and developing rapidly both conceptually and in reality, the legal/contractual, economic, service quality, interoperability, security and privacy issues still pose significant challenges. In this chapter, we describe various service and deployment models of cloud computing and identify major challenges. In particular, we discuss three critical challenges: regulatory, security and privacy issues in cloud computing. Some solutions to mitigate these challenges are also proposed along with a brief presentation on the future trends in cloud computing deployment.

Cloud computing is a promising technology to facilitate the development of large-scale, on-demand, flexible computing infrastructures. Cloud computing has formed the conceptual and infrastructural basis for tomorrow's computing. Cloud based services and service providers are being evolved which has resulted in a new business trend based on cloud technology. But without security embedded into innovative technology that supports cloud computing, businesses are setting themselves up for a fall. The trend of frequently adopting this technology by the organization automatically introduced new risk on top of existing risk. Obviously, putting everything into a single box i.e. into the cloud will only make it easier for hacker. Cloud service provider and the cloud service consumer should make sure that the cloud is safe enough from all the external threats so that the customer does not face any problem such as loss of data or data theft. This paper presents an overview and the study of the cloud computing along with several securities and challenging issues.

Cloud computing has become one of the most interesting topics in the IT world today. Cloud model of computing as a resource has changed the landscape of computing as it promises of increased greater reliability, massive scalability, and decreased costs have attracted businesses and individuals alike. It adds capabilities to Information Technology's. Over the last few years, cloud computing has grown considerably in Information Technology. As more and more information of individuals and companies are placed in the cloud, there is a growing concern about the safety of information. Many Companies that are considered to be giants in software industry like Microsoft are joining to develop Cloud services [1]. Despite the hype about the cloud, customers are reluctant to deploy their business in the cloud. Security issues is one of the biggest concerns that has been affecting the growth of cloud computing .It adds complications with data privacy and data protection continues to affect the market. Users need to understand the risk of data breaches in the cloud environment. The paper highlights issues related to cloud computing.

The paper identifies the issues and the solution to overcome these problems. Cloud computing is a subscription based service where we can obtain networked storage space and computer resources. This technology has the capacity to admittance a common collection of resources on request. It is the application provided in the form of service over the internet and system hardware in the data centers that gives these services. But having many advantages for IT organizations cloud has some issues that must be consider during its deployment. The main concern is security privacy and trust. There are various issues that need to be dealt with respect to security and privacy in a cloud computing scenario [4].

A let of exclusive features such as high functionality and low cost have made cloud computing a valuable technology. These remarkable features give users and companies, countless opportunities to reach their goals spending minimum cost and time. Looking at the literature of this technology, it can be claimed that the main concerns of the users of cloud are security issues especially trust. Unfortunately these concerns have not been tackled yet. Therefore we decided to introduce a useful and functioned way to create more trust among consumers to use this technology .In this paper we suggest the foundation of an international certification institute for the service providing companies in order to increase trust and enhance likeliness of using this new and valuable technology among people. Practicality of the technology will improve it and will make its security better by providers.
