Robotic Process Automation for Recruitment Process

This paper introduces robots and how they can be applied in industries especially in spot welding operations. A robot simulator is used called mobotsim to demonstrate how robots find its target for execution of tasks. This simulator is an open-source software. Another simulator is used here called KUKA simulator which is a 3D teaching demo, illustrating spot welding operation. A survey was taken in this paper to sample different people’s opinion on robotic automation in industries and its feasibility. Growth of robots over the world was also analyzed; this shows robot installations in industries all around the world. The future of robots is also explored in this paper.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has been a great development today. Robotic Process Automation is a useful tool for the pressing demand of the banking sector. Operation costs have been one of the focus areas in the banking sector. The major benefit of adopting RPA in the banking sector has significantly helped to reduce the costs by 30 per cents to 70 percent, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) saves labor costs and operational efficiency, accuracy, 24/7, offer innovative services and better experience of the customer. Robotic process automation (RPA) emerges as a new technology which is focused on automation of repetitive, routine, rule-based human tasks, aiming to bring benefits to the organizations that decide to implement such software solution. Since RPA is a relatively new technology available on the market, the scientific literature on the topic is still scarce. Therefore, this paper aims to investigate how academic community defines RPA and to which extent has it been investigated in the literature in terms of the state, trends, and application of RPA. Moreover, the difference between RPA and business process management is also addressed. In order to do so, the systematic literature review (SLR) based on Web of Science and Scopus databases has been conducted. The paper provides the results of the conducted SLR on RPA providing an overview of the RPA definitions and practical usage as well as benefits of its implementation in different industries.

We are living in a world where every person wants to speed up their work with minimal effort. In conclusion, the review paper serves as a comprehensive analysis of the potential of RPA by examining its components, implementation, efficiency, and use cases in different industries. It focuses on understanding the idea behind RPA, its implementation, the features of RPA that can help them strengthen their business growth, such as affordability, reliability, scalability, consistency, compliance, and accuracy, and the significant opportunities for streamlining business processes.

PT X as one of the largest manufacturing companies in Indonesia, has a large workforce and assets, complex business processes and has an important portion in the market share in the industry. PT X has decided to implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiative which is expected to make operational processes leaner and more efficient. But after it was implemented, was it true that RPA had a positive effect on PT X? This paper discusses the implementation of RPA at PT X, the effects and cost-benefit analysis of RPA implementation in the company. The analysis was conducted by focusing on the implementation of the RPA in the vendor payment process at PT X by using cost-benefit analysis based on qualitative and quantitative approaches. A qualitative approach was carried out using the interview method with key stakeholders from the implementation of the RPA coming from internal and external PT X. The quantitative approach is carried out using business process analysis and financial accounting methods. This study produces conclusions on the positive effects of the implementation of the RPA that can be seen from decrease of lead time vendor payment process up to 97.8% and decrease of Employee cost up to 55%.

Purpose Robotic process automation (RPA) seeks to automate business processes, using software robots that interact with systems through their user interface, improving efficiency and reducing costs. However, some critical steps, such as identifying processes suitable for RPA automation, can have a tremendous impact in organizations if a wrong process is selected. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to provide an approach for analyzing RPA development in business organizations. The robotic automation of processes is of much interest to organizations. A common use case is to automate the repetitive manual tasks (or processes) that are currently done by back-office staff through some information system (IS). The lifecycle of any Robotic Process Automation (RPA) project starts with the analysis of the process to automate. This is a very time-consuming phase, which in practical settings often relies on the study of process documentation. Such documentation is typically incomplete or inaccurate, e.g., some documented cases never occur, occurring cases are not documented, or documented cases differ from reality. To deploy robots in a production environment that are designed on such a shaky basis entails a high risk. This paper describes and evaluates a new proposal for the early stages of an RPA project: the analysis of a process and its subsequent design. The idea is to leverage the knowledge of back-office staff, which starts by monitoring them in a non-invasive manner. This is done through a screen-mousekey-logger, i.e., a sequence of images, mouse actions, and key actions are stored along with their timestamps. The log which is obtained in this way is transformed into a UI log through image-analysis techniques (e.g., fingerprinting or OCR) and then transformed into a process model by the use of process discovery algorithms. We evaluated this method for two real-life, industrial cases. The evaluation shows clear and substantial benefits in terms of accuracy and speed. This paper presents the method, along with a number of limitations that need to be addressed such that it can be applied in wider contexts.
