Vincenzo Cerami. Le récit et la scène, 2004

Ce recueil sur l’œuvre de Vincenzo Cerami rassemble des essais écrits par des narratologues, des linguistes, des écrivains, des musicologues. À l’informel narratif de l’avant-garde, Cerami a depuis toujours opposé des réticules, où le métier d’écrire (quel que soit le code) et la tradition jouent un rôle fondamental. Une œuvre où le lecteur est induit à jouer à cache-cache ; spécialement dans les pièces de théâtre et musicales, on a la sensation de découvrir, et en même temps d’être découvert, tellement il y a de résonances, d’images, de rebonds familiaux, de structures de communication qui nous sont rendus : enchevêtrements de fils qui continuent des histoires précédentes, prêts à tisser de nouvelles histoires encore. Mais il ne s’agit jamais d’un simple jeu de miroirs. Si on s’y trouve dans une continuité de la mémoire, l’ironie et le sourire de l’auteur empêchent des reflets mécaniques, et obligent à la distanciation. Et même là où l’on pense se reconnaître dans le quotidien, dans les récits réalistes, liés aux faits divers, la fabula devient un instrument pour les rendre inessentiels, et pour mettre à nu ce qui a rendu possible le nouage des histoires. Les événements en soi tombent au fond comme du lest, pour laisser à la surface le rythme et le style.

The treatise of Saint Augustine, bishop of Hippo, intituled De bono coniugali presents the unique dogmatist and at the same time moralistic view on the topic of marriage, which did not have, at the time, the analogy in the patristic literature. In this paper we focus on the Saint Augustine’s apology of the marriage. In centre of our interest will be the moral principles of the married couples issued from the main characteristic rudiments of the marriage defined by our bishop of Hippo that are used in the catholic Church almost without any changes also in nowadays. The marriage as the union of man and woman was from the beginning viewed as the base of the human society of any religion. Also the pagan Rome esteemed a lot the family and the spouses procreating and raising the children for the fatherland. The Christianity brings to the marriage the new aspect by giving to it the character of the sanctity and inviolability. The marriages were united with the goal of the procreation of the legitimate offspring but its absence, according Saint Augustine, did not make the obstacle of the sanctity and the purpose of the marriage. The Church in the confrontation with the pagan customs and traditions, or the sinful concupiscence of the man, well maintained the observation of the sacrament of the marriage, which provides with the new content. That is why the marriage became the sacred union based on the norm of the inviolability, the equality of both spouses, the procreation of the offspring and mutual fidelity. By theses rules the Church helped the women to gain the more dignify position in the society than it given by the roman legislative.

The study focuses on the communicationoriented analysis and interpretation of semantic and communicative (illocutive) functions of the Slovak conjunction kým ['while']. Research is based on the text material of the Slovak National Corpus containing synchronic dynamics of the sentence in which the conjunction kým ['while'] expresses temporal and/or contrastive meanings. Kým ['while'] is understood as a polysemantic and polyfunctional word which forms relations of limitative, successive, simultaneous and contrastivesimultaneous coincidence between an independent clause (P) and a while clause (Q). Regarding the semantic functions of the conjunction, the study also discusses the function of temporal and pragmatic collocations, and complementary and competitive use of synonymous conjunctions. It verifies the connections between the actual dispositions of the conjunction kým ['while'] and a dialogic or narrative interpretation, the choice of perspective and the sentence order. A part of the study presents the use of the conjunction kým ['while'] in the communicative functions of assertion, direction, interrogation, satisfaction, commission and admonition. It demonstrates the dominance of illocutions which are based on the negative life experience of a speaker.

Until recently no anthropomorphic depictions from the Early Bronze Age were known in the western part of the Carpathian Basin and Central Danube Region. The author is presenting the recognized depictions, structured into typical iconographies. It is interesting that they are depictions of women. According to the results of comparative Indo-European studies the pantheons of the Early Bronze Age religions should be headed by male deities. The author reflects on different results of archaeology and religious studies. The answer apparently lies in the holistic study of human creativity.
