Co7: Converging trends in complex software-intensive control

2004

Abstract

Abstract: At a first sight, it would be surprising to see that some modern trends in complex software-intensive control engineering can be described by names that start with the same letters:” Co”. In this talk I will address some of this trends (Control, Computing, Communications, Components, Cognition, Complexity and Consciousness) to discover—not only etymologically—what is the nature of the convergence and the role that these “words” play in an emerging vision of true autonomy.
