Cohesion: A Unified Field Theory of Matter, Motion, and Cognition

2025, Cohesion: A Unified Field Theory of Matter, Motion, and Cognition

Abstract

This paper introduces Cohesion as a Unified Field Theory that reconceptualizes gravity, quantum behavior, and spacetime as emergent expressions of relational field dynamics. Rather than positing a single universal field, Cohesion asserts that each entity possesses its own field, and that structure, motion, and cognition arise from the modulation and interaction of these individuated fields. Gravity is reframed as a static cohesion gradient, quantum phenomena as localized fluctuations within relational envelopes, and spacetime as the topological result of overlapping fields. The theory is scalable across domains-from cosmological cold attractors and planetary field envelopes to molecular binding and cognitive emergence-offering a unified ontology of structure, dynamics, and thought. By replacing reductionist models with emergent relational logic, Cohesion provides a falsifiable, scalable, and philosophically coherent foundation for rethinking physical law. It invites a shift from force-centric paradigms to field-centric cognition, offering new pathways for understanding propulsion, sensing, and synthetic intelligence. This work aims to realign scientific inquiry with the relational nature of reality-where motion and modulation give rise to meaning.
