Abstract

The Purpose of this study is to evaluate the role of Natural Gas in attaining sustainable development goals in India. In this study more than 50 published research papers and reports from national and international journals and institutions and their websites, has been reviewed. In this review, it has been found that natural gas significantly contributes in achieving sustainable development Goals (SDGs) and affordable and clean energy (SDG7) in India. The paper also presented the status of the gas economy in India present and future. This study will help to understand the role of natural gas in attaining sustainable goals in India.
