The religious faith and practices are intimately connected with human nature and life in general. However unrefined a religion might have been in its origin, and however gross the superstitions with which it has often been associated, its omnipresence and centrality in the history of humanity are facts to be reckoned with.3 The religious perceptions and sensitivity helped man a lot to keep alive and hopeful in his hazardous journey through history.4 In many cases the bonds of religion have proved stronger than the bonds of race or climate or even descent.

The wheel of history cannot be stopped. The road to higher human freedom is a manifestation of divine dialectics. It is perfectly natural that our spirits want to win and triumph. Free will is a divine gift that enables us to walk by many roads. We can go by the road of truth, love, justice as well as evil, lie, hate and injustice. Higher spiritual power, freedom and knowledge result from evolution of dialectic relations: freedom-necessity, consciousness-unconsciousness, spirit-matter, subject-object, truth-lie, love-hate, freedom-enslavement and justice-injustice . The power of knowledge is a true source of higher level of freedom. Total spiritual freedom and power of God at His apex are accompanied by creative process at lower levels of His creation with perpetual overcoming the limits of powerlessness at given stages of evolution. Using insights from different disciplines this essay reflects on human nature and the way it evolved the past two million years. This evolution will be understood as a process of sedimentation, implying that changes from our past are still working today. Consequently our reflection has to start with the most basic layer of human nature: the dynamics related to our life as group animals and the way the earliest humans have lived. Subsequently we discuss the phase of nomadic hunters and gatherers, a way of life which covered the largest part of our history and which both spiritually and temporally shows its own characteristics. Then comes the phase in which agriculture was all-important and finally the most recent phase which is dominated by various civilizations. We explore the idea that these histories still motivate us today, mainly by means of ‘eternal’ values we support. So what DNA does for our natural evolution, may be done by normative principles for cultural evolution. It does not mean that this heritage is recognized by everyone. On the contrary: there are many tensions even within one community, and especially in a world where different cultural traditions are defying one another. This essay will be concluded by a brief reflection on possible meaning of the Holy Spirit.

Spirituality is a powerful dimension of human experience. As written in the Bahai text, "No matter how far the material world advances, it cannot establish the happiness of mankind. Only when material and spiritual civilization are linked and coordinated will happiness be assured, for in material civilization good and evil advance together and maintain the same pace" Material civilization should be integrated with spiritual civilization, like a lamp that needs a light to give the lamp a meaning, purpose and value. If the material and spiritual civilization become united, then we will have the light and the lamp together, and the outcome will be perfect. For material civilization is like unto a beautiful body, and spiritual civilization is like unto the spirit of life. If that phenomenal spirit of life enters this beautiful body, the body will become a channel for the distribution and development of the perfections of humanity. This paper aims to address the importance in enhancing spirituality in our human family by trying to give answers to these two key questions, firstly the origins of the deficiencies of the current civilization and secondly, how can humanity build up civilization based on the spiritual treasuries, which comprises of meaning, purpose and value of life, existing in all cultures, religions and traditions.

Undoubtedly, religion has walked the stairs of history with man. From time immemorial, it has stepped into the activities of man: affecting his actions, punishing his inactions and Setting standards that will guide the affairs of men. Its effect is far-reaching, and has remained unmoved in the face of science and technology. The aim of this work is to provide the readers with a basic understanding of the intricacies of religion; its types, forms and importance. It contains four chapters, well written, readable and intriguing. From the very first chapter, the writer leads the reader through a tour to understand some basic concepts of religion, types of religion, forms of religious beliefs, down to the main crux of the work; the importance of religion to humans. We live at a time of multiple revolutions in science, particularly in medical science and technology. Profound innovations are emerging that will not just change the problems we address or the ways we respond to problems, but which may transform the sorts of creatures that we are. Our species may be changed for better or worse by what is in prospect. The nature of the human species is therefore at stake. " The Past, Present and Future of Human Nature " might seem all encompassing, but it leaves almost everything out. For most of the time that living creatures have existed there have been no humans and thus no human nature. We are a recent and probably transient phenomenon; we are well advised to keep that humbling fact in mind. Still, as a member of this recent but disarmingly clever species, I have an interest in understanding what our nature is, what it might become, and how that might depend on the choices we make. It is distinctively human to engage in self-conscious reflection on our own nature. Doing so has gone on for all of recorded human history and must have been going on longer than that. Wonder is among the most salient distinguishing characteristics of humans: we are the self-reflective creature. Our intellectual history centers prominently on efforts to understand our own behavior and motivations, our relationship to nature, and our place in the universe or, on some views, beyond. We have devoted much thought to exploring whether we are by nature altruistic or selfish, warlike or peace-loving, monogamous or polygamous, shaped more by genetics or by experience and environment, driven by deterministic causes or free to make autonomous choices. We have sought answers to understand the human condition, and to know whether we are the result of purposive design or the chance product of natural processes. We have long wondered about the relationship among our minds, our brains, and the baffling phenomena of consciousness, personal identity, and self-awareness. These issues were historically addressed primarily by philosophers and theologians; now, they are also vigorously pursued by others such as sociobiologists, cognitive neuroscientists, computational linguists, and physicists. We have sought to discern what about ourselves is inherent in our nature and what is socially constructed. We find ourselves unendingly fascinating. On the traditional Judeo-Christian view, humans were the apex of God's intentional creation; distinct from the rest of the world, they exerted dominion over nature. Other views, such as those of some Native American cultures, saw humans as being at one with nature, properly seeking harmony with the larger whole. The author focuses on the history of human capital, concludes that in the full definition process of human capital should take into account the multidimensional nature and essence of man as a bio-social-spiritual being. The essence and prospects of human capital have been studied in relation to the concepts of culture, "intellectual", and "spiritual", "culture of management and action "," cultural and economic development, genetic code of culture.

The author of the paper reflects on a new aspect of education in ХХІ century–a spiritual aspect ofhuman development, not from a religious perspective, but rather as a constituent of the wholeness of humanexistence. Education in the ХХ century provided a technocratic intelligence, which allowed for adaptability inthe world driven by technological progress that could justify human greed, violence, absurdity and ignorance, as vices with “natural” origin. Up until now, human Mind and Soul have not been subjects of interest ineducation. In this paper, the author presents a new vision for education of children as spiritual beings, whoare developing high human virtues and values, such as: compassion, sympathy, nobility, generosity, honesty, harmony, love towards nature and fellow human beings. The author reveals the commonspiritual foundations of the ancient philosophies: Hermetism (the teaching of Hermes), Nagualism (the teachingof the ancient Toltecs), and Buddhism, as a joint basis for understanding high human nature and its divineorigin and values. The researcher outlines the connections between the knowledge in these philosophies andthe recent discoveries in quantum physics and the theories of the universe as consciousness. The reportproposes the author’s arguments on the integration of spirituality as a part of the education of ХХІ century.
