This similarity is found in the physiological systems that provides certain health benefits in particular as a therapeutic medium. The suitability of porcine-based tissues and cells for xenotransplantation at that point in time only involve heart valves, β cells, renal cells, hepatic cells and porcine insulin. Other parts are deemed unsuitable due to rejection by the human body and the inability to function normally. This article used the method of content analysis to look at the suitability of using porcine-based elements in certain situations as outlined in Islam. From this analysis, it is found that, while both man and pig have similar physiological systems, this does not mean that porcine-based elements are allowed to be used in normal circumstances in Islam unless its usage is governed by the principle of darurah. Kini, industri perbankan Islam dilihat boleh menjadi antara medium terbaik yang berkesan dalam dakwah. Menggunakan kaedah perbandingan, makalah ini menonjolkan kelebihan dan kekuatan sistem perbankan Islam berbanding sistem konvensional dalam memanifestasikan sifat sempurna Islam. Ini adalah berdasarkan fakta bahawa sistem perbankan Islam merupakan antara industri yang paling cepat berkembang dalam dunia kewangan hari ini. Ia bukan sahaja diterima meluas oleh masyarakat Islam malah masyarakat bukan Islam. Akhirnya, makalah ini menegaskan bahawa sistem perbankan boleh menjadi media dakwah yang paling meluas, dengan syarat kelebihan dan kekuatannya disedari oleh pemain kewangan Islam sendiri di samping memahami tanggungjawab atas semua Muslim untuk berdakwah. Abstract Da'wah is an effort to invite people towards Islam through various approaches. Presently, the Islamic banking industry is seen to amongst the best medium for da'wah. Employing comparative method, this paper highlights some advantages and strengths of Islamic banking system against the conventional system, especially towards manifesting the comprehensiveness of Islam. This is based on the fact that Islamic banking system is one of the fastest growing industries in the financial world today. It is widely acknowledged not only by Muslims but also non-Muslims. Finally, this paper maintains the effectiveness of Islamic banking system as a medium for da'wah, provided that its advantages and strengths are realised by Muslim players within the industry while also recognise their responsibilities in da'wah.

This paper attempts to examine the prison institution with the effort to identify Islamic-based p... more This paper attempts to examine the prison institution with the effort to identify Islamic-based program through a program which cater the halaqah modules in the prison. Halaqah programme is an approach to treat and rehabilitate inmates so that they have the opportunity and space to transform themselves from an immoral to a morally behave person. For this study, the Kajang Women's Prison, Selangor has been chosen as the premise of the study. Respondents were selected with a snowball sampling method in which the focus group consisting of five people aged 21 to 50 years, and involved in the Halaqah programme for six months and above. Interviews as well as observations were used to obtain research data. Data were analyzed by using thematic content analysis and the data separation was done based on specific themes, such as knowledge of faith, fiqh, sirah/akhlak, the Qur'an and the Hadith. The results showed a lack of knowledge and religiousity causes them to get involved in the social problems. In addtition, they were influenced by negative factors that include socioeconomic instability and stress of modern lifestyle. The study also found that Halaqah programme has been successful in achieving its' objective as a core treatment for Muslim female inmates.

The implementation of religiosity and psycho-spiritual health through the module instrumentation ... more The implementation of religiosity and psycho-spiritual health through the module instrumentation is deemed significant to the inmates. Both entities are found to be effective in producing positive result. It is also believed to be able to train and treat patients' mental state and behavioral state, thus from recurring bad behaviors. Several methods have been applied including: Cross survey, interview and questionnaire survey, which involves 40 inmates in the prison for various delinquencies. This research is going to analyze the effectiveness of the psychospiritual module on the prison inmates before and after treatment. Due to the respondents' location, this research conducted at the Kajang Women prison in Malaysia. This article also evaluates the influence of religiousness inculcated in the treatment of inmates, which promotes changes in positive attitude, daily lifestyle, mental health and self-management. The result illustrates positive outcome from the implemented module before and after the psychospiritual treatment. As conclusion, the study findings give strong support for the effectiveness of religious approach in improving spiritual health for women inmates in prison. Thus, religious approach is recommended as an alternative to the current allopathic treatment method in dealing with the problem especially for women inmates in prison.
