Andrea Prontera is Associate Professor of International Relations and European Union Institutions and Policies at the Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations of the University of Macerata, Italy. He holds a degree in Social Science and Economics from the Bocconi University (Milan) and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Florence. He spent visiting periods at the Institute d’Études Politiques (IEP), Sciences-Po (Paris), the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee, and the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES), the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS, Potsdam). His main research interests lie in the areas of international political economy, EU politics and policies, comparative public policy, energy security, energy policy, and energy transition.
