The purpose of this review is to present some studies existing in the literature that show that p... more The purpose of this review is to present some studies existing in the literature that show that patients that experience anxiety in real-life situations can obtain advantages through virtual reality, as alternative form of cognitive, emotional and behavioural exposition. After a brief introduction, we will proceed to an analysis of the scientific contributions concerning virtual reality-ba sed interventions. Google Scholar employed to search studies on this topic from 1992 through 2019. Studies were eligible if the article: (a) concerned subjects with anxiety disorders; (b) showed the effects of VR exposure therapy for anxiety treatment; (c) employed the use of immersive VR only, keeping out not-immersive VR; (d) was published in English; (e) referred to randomized controlled trials (RCTs). In un secolo come il Novecento, s’intende riconoscere un intricato percorso nell’evoluzione del p... more In un secolo come il Novecento, s’intende riconoscere un intricato percorso nell’evoluzione del pensiero filosofico. Quello della dialettica è un concetto scomodo da applicare, perché le filosofie del Novecento non si lasciano categorizzare; tuttavia, com’è evidenziato da diversi autori, pur soffermandosi su questioni diverse, le teorie filosofiche del XX secolo tessono un rapporto di legittima reciprocità tra di loro proprio in virtù della loro inquietante estraneità (Fédida, 2007) l’una dall’altra. In questo quadro, Gaston Bachelard dipinge con luci e ombre la propria personale visione delle ambivalenze dialettiche del Novecento (1957), presentando la dicotomia tra il razionalismo e la poetica dell’immaginario attraverso le allegorie del jour e della nuit. Allo stesso modo, i diversi autori della psicoanalisi a partire da Freud hanno messo in luce le lacune di una rappresentazione unitaria della conoscenza, della psiche e della soggettività. Innescando un dialogo critico tra la filosofia bachelardiana e la psicoanalisi, è possibile gettare luce sulla necessità di questi pluralismi, dialettiche che arricchiscono l’esistenza umana in merito ad un tema come l’intersoggettività, punto d’incontro nel quale convergono le dicotomie tra ragione e immaginazione, identità e alterità.
