The present study of phytoplankton in Lake Tititcaca developed during the month of July 2014 , ga... more The present study of phytoplankton in Lake Tititcaca developed during the month of July 2014 , gaining 45 sampling points , aiming to meet the abundance and biomass of phytoplankton and influence of physicochemical parameters , the methodology developed was based on established protocols, where 77 genera being the most abundant hirundinella Ceratium with 51.60 %, followed by Stephanodiscus sp was identified. 6.95%, Peridinium sp. 5.73% , continued from Fragilaria crotonensis 4.95% , Ghomphosphaeria sp. 4.06% , less presence finally with 0.003 % falcatus Ankistrodesmus , Sinedra sp. and Lobocystis sp. to 0.001 , all these five taxonomic groups present in Clorophyta ( 54.55 % ) followed by Bacillariophyta ( 23.38% ) , continued from Cyanophyta ( 15.58 % ) , Pyrrhophyta ( 3.90% ) and finally Cryptophyta ( 2.60 % ), the density ranged between 6.3x106 and 1.6x103 indv / m3 respectively , diversity was within the range 3.68 and 2.53 bits / indv , and strongly influenced by the abundance of few genera Regarding the similarity were divided into 4 groups corresponding to the inner Bay 3 stations , Bahia 5 Outer stations , 34 stations Lake Maggiore and Lago Menor 3 stations showing characteristics of each area . The phytoplankton Relations respect to pH and T ° , were decisive in the presence of algal biomass , which we conclude that it is important to know the simplest organism relating them to environmental characteristics.
