The purpose of this study is to find out the improvement of students' vocabulary between those wh... more The purpose of this study is to find out the improvement of students' vocabulary between those who were taught through Total Physical Response Storytelling (tprs) and those who are taught using Conventional Method. This study used quantitative research method and comparative design by using pre-test and post-test. This study was designed to find out the answer to the following question: Is there any significant difference in the students' vocabulary enhancement between those who are taught using TPR-Storytelling and those who are taught using Conventional Method? This experimental study involved two groups. The sample of this research were the students of VII-A using Total Physical Response Storytelling Method and VII-B using Conventional Method at SMP Negeri 2 Jonggol. This study used Anatest, Microsoft Excel and 16th SPSS to calculate the data. It can be concluded that there was a significant difference between those who were taught using TPRS Method and those who were taught using Conventional Method to enhance students' vocabulary.

This research sought the relationship between anxiety in English, the achievement in English and ... more This research sought the relationship between anxiety in English, the achievement in English and the factors that cause anxiety of the university student of Universitas Advent Indonesia. The respondents were 128 they were classified according to gender and the type of school they graduated from. The instrument used in this study was the final grade in English 3 subject, a 50 items questionnaire, which was taken from the anxiety inventory and was modified by the researcher to suit the need of the study. It was translated into Indonesian for a better understanding of the questions. Correlational Analysis used to determine the relationship of the anxiety level and the achievement and Factor analysis served as tool to identify the factors that cause the anxiety in English. It was found that the level of anxiety of both males, females and types of school were oftentimes anxious. There were 14 factors identified that cause anxiety in English. There was no significant difference on the level of anxiety of these university students in English according to gender and type of high school they graduated from since they fall on the same range as interpreted oftentimes/highly anxious

This study, "Comparison of Grammar Translation method and Eclectic Method in Enhancing Students V... more This study, "Comparison of Grammar Translation method and Eclectic Method in Enhancing Students Vocabulary Achievement" was employed to investigate and examine their difference in teaching vocabulary to the early students. The participants were grade 4 students in Bandung-Indonesia. It was divided into two groups the control and experimental group. Data obtained follows: n1=27, n2=33, α=0.05, mean difference of Grammar Translation Method was 19.22 where mean difference for the Eclectic group was 22.29. After the treatment it was obtained that the mean of post test of Grammar group were 57.14 and for the Eclectic group the mean of post test were 60.21. From mean of gain of the post test result (The result show that t observed > t table : 2.9 > 1.645), it can be concluded that the mean of gain of Eclectic group is higher than the mean of Grammar Translation Method students' vocabulary achievement and Eclectic method students' vocabulary achievement.

This study used quantitative research method and comparative design. This study was designed to seek the answer to the following question: Is there any significant difference on the students’ vocabulary enhancement between those who are taught using Online Games and Pictures Instruction? In order to answer that question, there were two classes in grade eight of SMP Perguruan Advent XV Ciracas, Jakarta Timur. They were divided into two groups, grade 8-a was Pictures Instruction group and grade 8-b was Online Games group. The vocabulary test (pre-test) was given at the first meeting. After 16 hours of treatment, the post-test was administered to both groups to see the significant of both methods. The data was analyzed using SPSS 17.
