The Social Security Agency on Health, or Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Social (BPJS) Kesehatan, in Indonesia is an integrated healthcare system that provides universal healthcare to its citizens. This retrospective cross-sectional study examined the use of antihypertensive medications covered by BPJS between January and December 2021 at the Rawabuntu Primary Health Centre and the Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) type B public hospital. The necessary data was extracted from the medical files of 192 hypertensive patients. The patients' characteristics were analysed descriptively. The rationality of antihypertensive medication use was evaluated in accordance with Association of Indonesian Hypertension Physicians-approved guidelines. The majority of patients in both categories were female (52.1 percent at the Rawabuntu Primary Health Centre and 60 percent at the teaching facility). In both healthcare facilities, the correct indication, patient, and dosage were administered 100 percent of the time, according to this study. While only 66.7% and 85.4% of patients at the Rawabuntu Primary Health Centre and UKI hospital received the correct drug category, respectively. The rational use of antihypertensive medications was substantially lower at the Primary Health Centre than it was at the UKI Hospital (p = 0.001).

Indonesia chose the Sinovac vaccine, which uses weakened viruses. The objective of the study was to measure the Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) 24-72 hours post-vaccination and its effect at three months after vaccination. An online survey was distributed to 1574 subjects who received the first dose, and 530 respondents (response rate 33.6%) who answered the questionnaire were sent the form again for the second dose, and 249 subjects responded (response rate 46.9%). From the first dose: 322 female (60.9%), 207 male (39.1%). There were 22 respondents who had fever on the first day and only five respondents on the second day. In addition, 147 (27.8%) felt pain in the injection site, nausea 30 respondents (5.7%), vomiting six persons, bloating 35 respondents (6.6%), and diarrhea ten respondents (1.9%). Fifty-nine respondents who got mild adverse events did nothing to ease their adverse events, 18 respondents took self-medication, 15 respondents consulted the doctors in the vaccination site. Only one respondent went to the nearby hospital for further therapy. Results from the second dose: As many 249 respondents (131 female, 108 male) answered respondents. The AEFI's pattern was quite the same as the first dose.

This paper discusses how UKI was imposed to the change through the process of developing and implementing of strategic planning and the changes that were instigated directly or indirectly. The dialogues among the faculty members apparently give a mutual benefit for all stakeholders to have a shared-vision and shared-mission.

These differences may have unique effects on cholesterol metabolism in man. To address this question, a study was conducted in 20 patients with hypercholesterolemia. The study had a cross-over design, and it was double-blinded.

Effect of lifibrol on the metabolism of low density lipoproteins and cholesterol

This investigation was carried out to determine whether the major action of lifibrol is to enhance clearance of low density lipoproteins (LDL) through the LDL-receptor pathway, and if so, whether the drug exerts its action by altering the excretion of bile acids (acidic steroids), the absorption of cholesterol, or the synthesis of cholesterol. In a first study, in two patients with complete absence of LDL receptors, lifibrol therapy had essentially no effect on plasma LDL concentrations; in two others who had a marked reduction in LDL-receptor activity, response to the drug was attenuated. These findings suggest that lifibrol requires an intact LDL-receptor pathway to exert its action. In a second study, in patients with primary moderate hypercholesterolemia, isotope kinetic studies showed that lifibrol enhanced the fractional catabolic rate of LDL-apolipoprotein B (apo B), but had no effect on transport rates of LDL; these observations likewise support the probability that lifibrol acts mainly to increase the activity of the LDL-receptor pathway. However, in a third study in hypercholesterolemic patients, lifibrol therapy failed to increase acidic steroid excretion, inhibit cholesterol absorption, or reduce net cholesterol balance. Furthermore, lifibrol treatment did not significantly reduce urinary excretion of mevalonic acid. In contrast, in a parallel study, simvastatin therapy, which is known to inhibit cholesterol synthesis, gave the expected decrease in net cholesterol balance and reduction in urinary excretion of mevalonic acid. Thus, lifibrol, like statins, appears to increase the activity of LDL receptors; but in contrast to findings with statins, it was not possible to detect a significant decreased synthesis of cholesterol, either from balance studies or from urinary excretion of mevalonic acid. This finding raises the possibility that lifibrol activates the LDL-receptor pathway through a different mechanisms which remains to be determined.
