Abstrak: Idiom adalah kumpulan dua kata atau lebih yang menjadi satu kesatuan atau ungkapan yang tidak bisa difahami secara harfiyah karena mempunyai makna yang berbeda dari kata-kata yang membentuknya, sehingga harus difahami secara konteks dan diterjemahkan dengan mencarikan padanannya dalam bahasa sasaran. Idiom dalam bahasa Arab bisa berupa gabungan kata dengan preposisi, gabungan kata dengan kata, dan peribahasa/ungkapan. Penerjemahan idiomatik merupakan penerjemahan yang berorientasi pada bahasa sasaran dan cenderung mengubah nuansa makna melalui penggunaan ungkapan sehari-hari dan ungkapan idiomatik yang tidak terdapat dalam bahasa sumber.

The research was motivated by the difficulty of students studying Qawaid considered difficult and complex. The research aims to develop teaching materials based Arabic qawaid mind map and find out the learning process of students by using teaching materials based Arabic qawaid mind map for the college level. This research method using the R & D (research and development). The results of this study were 1. development of teaching materials based Arabic qawaid mind map for the college-level teaching materials presented in the form of maps with different patterns of shape and color illustrations that have a major theme (primary) connected to the theme of the derivative and connected with each other accompanied by examples . 2. Use of these materials indicate that the Arabic language teaching materials qawaid based mind map can improve learning outcomes of students with average 78.59 / B +, and increase motivation to learn qawaid.

The rapid development of digital technology with its likely disruptive impacts on students’ morality and character necessitates teachers to reorient their roles. Teachers need to be skillful in incorporating moral messages and character education in their teaching supported by suitable learning resources. The current research is conducted to fulfill the needs of the English teachers in Islamic junior secondary schools in Indonesia for supplementary materials that can support the integration of Islamic moral messages and values in the teaching of English. These needs were identified from data collected through questionnaires, FGDs, and interviews. The supplementary materials, which were designed based on the needs analysis, underwent expert validation and a pilot study. The final version of the materials consists of ready-to-use-worksheets and teacher's guide and is named the Islamic Life Resource Pack (ILRP).

The role of metacognitive awareness on language teaching and learning have been confirmed by several studies, but the discussions of this topic in Chinese as foreign language are limited. The aim of the present research was to map metacognitive awareness profile of Chinese language learners. Total respondent of this research was 80 Chinese language learners (38 males and 42 females) which comprise secondary students. Convenience sampling technique was employed to select the respondents. Meanwhile, the metacognitive awareness data were collected utilizing Junior Metacognitive Inventory. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistic. Mann-Whitney U Test was employed to investigate the significance differences of metacognitive awareness between male and female. The findings showed that 46.25% of Chinese Language Learners have a good metacognitive knowledge, 28.75% fair, 20% very good, 3.75% poor, and 1.25% very lacking. The present study focuses on the languages operating on the written signage that contribute directly to theformation of the linguistic landscape. The study chose Sunan Ampel Tomb in Surabaya, Indonesia, as one ofthe sites that has become a heritage conservation due to the history hidden in the site. This site is a part of the other sites in a series leading to the history of nine saints (Wali Songo) who brought Islam to Indonesia through one of the islands, Java. The study aimed at describing the linguistic landscape of the site to help learn about the languages operating on the signage found in Sunan Ampel Tomb complex and the hidden history leading to multilingual multilingualism in the area.
