AMBITION IS TO ACHIEVE HEIGHT OF INTELLECT--- THAT IS THE CHEAP WAY! (THE WAY THAT DOES NOT DEPEND ON MONEY AND INTERACTIONS). YET GIFTEDNESS IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ALL! ONE CAN CERTAINLY PRETEND---
SIMPLY ADMITTING SOME PRETENSE DOES NOT IN ITSELF RECOMMEND UTTER FAILURE--- THOUGH EMOTIONALLY, FAILURE IS INEVITABLE SOMETIMES--- IT IS ALSO EASILY CIRCUMVENTED FOR AN IDEALIST IF THEY ARE HAPPY---
IF THE GOAL IS TO ACTUALLY BE AMBITIOUS. ONE COULD TRY ORIGINALITY, FOR EXAMPLE, ADDING THE WORD ‘PSYCHOLOGY’ TO THE WORDS ‘META’ AND ‘ORIGINAL’ TO EQUAL ‘META-ORIGINAL PSYCHOLOGY. THESE TYPES OF THINGS MIGHT HAVE MEANING IF ONE IS ALREADY HAPPY, AND IF ONE FINDS MEANING IN THE SPECIFIC THINGS LIKE IDEAS.
THAT PRESENTS ONE WITH SOMETHING AMBITIOUS, EVEN IF IT IS IMPRACTICAL, THOUGH SINCE I FIND MEANING IN IT AND MEANING MIGHT PREVENT ME FROM NEGLECTING MY HEALTH, I MIGHT THINK IT IS NOT IMPRACTICAL AT ALL.
IF I AM BEING DRAMATIC, I MIGHT SAY THAT IT REPRESENTS ELEVATION ONTO A HIGHER PLANE OF LIFE, BUT I DO NOT FEEL THE DRAMA IS NECESSARY, BECAUSE A HIGHER PLANE OF LIFE IS NOT NECESSARY. A HIGHER PLANE OF LIFE IS AS LIKELY TO EXAGGERATE OUR MISERY AS TO EMBELLISH OUR BETTER FEELINGS. FROM A POSITION OF HUMILITY I CANNOT FIGHT BACK.
MANY AMBITIOUS THINGS ARE AT LEAST A BIT IMPRACTICAL. THOUGH IT IS NOT CHARACTERISTIC OF ALL AMBITIONS. ONE CAN FOR EXAMPLE, SUCCEED TO CREATE A PAINTING SUCH AS THIS ONE:
ART PERMITS A CERTAIN DEGREE OF ACHIEVEMENT: A DEFINITE RESULT, A WAY IN WHICH A FORMALISM HAS COMMUNICATED A STYLE (STYLES ARE SIMILAR TO INTELLECTUAL MOVEMENTS, SO THEY ARE POTENTIALLY INTELLIGENT THINGS, ONCE CONSIDERED BY A THINKING THING. THE CONSENSUS SEEMS TO BE THAT WE THINK ENOUGH THAT OUR THOUGHT EXISTS, AND IN ASIA THINKING MIGHT ALMOST BE A LANGUAGE).

IF SOMEONE WISHES TO PURSUE PHILOSOPHY IN THE IDEAL WORLD THEY WILL ALWAYS BE FORCED TO DO SO UNLESS THE WORLD IS NOT IDEAL, BUT UNLESS THEY ARE SO MUCH AN ABSOLUTIST THAT BELIEF IN VIRTUE MAKES IT VIRTUOUS, THERE IS NO WAY TO AVOID THIS CONCLUSION ONCE THEY SET THEIR MIND, BECAUSE THEY WILL BE CONFRONTED WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF ABSOLUTE GLOBAL FAILURE. IN MY MIND CHILDREN ARE WISE BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT UN-LEARNED LIFE. UN-LEARNING LIFE COULD BE THE EXPLANATION OF DEATH, IN A LITERAL SENSE. A TAUTOLOGY.
