This is due to the existing controversy among researchers who are trying to determine the extent of the influence of social media on the Arab Spring revolutions, especially the events of the Arab Spring 2.0, which has not been adequately addressed in the scientific literature. It is very difficult to deny the significant role these electronic platforms played in organizing and motivating the hundreds of thousands of protesters who came to the streets in many Arab countries to demand social change and structural reforms in the country. The increase in political and social grievances, the spread of unemployment and corruption, and the feeling of relative deprivation and dissatisfaction are all motives that call for violence and eventual conflict if massive popular discontent is not responded to. This article argues that social media has accelerated mobilization in political movements due to grievances so severe that people are motivated to protest in mass. In this article, a literature review has been used as a research method, and the results of the literature review have shown that social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter have also played an important role in organizing and calling for protests in the context of the Arab Spring 2.0.

China’s new role in world politics and its emerging identity made scholars look for a suitable model for the rising China’s possible future hegemony. This article examines one of these models — the “humane authority” of Yan Xuetong, in comparison with the American model of hegemony described in the work of Zbigniew Brzezinski. The comparative analysis is based on the following parameters: interpretation of hegemony and the foundations of world leadership; attitude towards alliances and allies; international order and international norms; as well as the political and time context where both theories emerged.

Jordan is one of the poor countries in traditional energy sources, and one of the countries most affected by the high prices and the shortage in the production of crude oil and other energy components, and its negative repercussions on the Jordanian economy, as Jordan imports oil and natural gas from neighboring countries 90 % of its needs Energy, which is approximately 8 %-10 % of GDP. This study attempts to shed light on the existing energy sources in Jordan with the aim of exploring ways to improve the energy situation in the country by increasing reliance on renewable energy alternatives such as wind and solar energy instead of relying on imported oil and gas.

The Russian government has always expressed concern about the so-called color revolutions that took place in Ukraine, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the fact that many of them were supported by Western forces. Russia believes that the events of the Arab Spring are in some way similar to the aforementioned revolutions, and that with the support of the West they could bring Islamists to power, which is a dangerous model not only for the countries of the region and the countries neighboring Russia, but also for Russia itself. For these reasons, in the Syrian conflict, Moscow sought to preserve the Assad regime, because believes that the Western model in solving regional problems can lead to the general chaos, like it was, for exampl...

Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel in 2017. He also recognized Israeli sovereignty over the territory of the Syrian Golan in 2019. The dispersion of the Arab position is the biggest proof of the failure of Arab unity. The authors present a brief study on the success of European countries in achieving unity, while the Arabs failed to achieve unity, which has been the goal of gathering Arab countries for many years. The comparative analysis of attempts at Arab unity and the process of European unity was conducted by the authors of the paper. The study is of scientific and practical importance for political scientists and political analysts was performed. The authors ask: Why did the European Union succeed and the Arab Unions failed? Based on the analysis of various theories and concepts of research, the authors of the paper come to meaningful conclusions that may be of interest to a wide circle of readers. Both the European and Arab systems originated in different historical and international contexts, and therefore it was natural for each of them to produce different approaches and mechanisms of complementarity with these contexts. There has been a tendency to praise the European experience and praise it in the Arabic literature, and in return there is criticism of the Arab experience. In this article we will raise many issues concerning Arab unity. For citation Toubasi Salem, Khavamdekh Mazen, Al Qteishat Ahmad Saher Ahmad (2019) Arab unity.
