Additionally, solar-wind-hydro based h-RES is interconnected with unstable nonlinear load. Power quality (PQ) of the proposed h-RES may diminish due to its connection with main electrical grid which includes variable non-linear and linear loads. To trim down this PQ issue, one of the CPD (Custom Power Device) can be used and most suitable CPD for this novel system is UPQC (Unified Power Quality Conditioner). This research work brings down harmonic distortions in voltage and current waveform generated from the proposed system by utilizing of UPQC. Moreover, voltage stability and transient state stability during various fault conditions are also enhanced in the same system. In solar-wind-hydro based h-RES, input energies are unpredictable and connected load on output side is also inconsistent & non-linear. This arrangement is similar as actual electrical grid system.

SFRA evaluates the frequency response of transformer windings, enabling the detection of internal issues like winding movement, core displacement, and structural deformations caused by short circuits, aging, or mechanical stresses. By applying an input signal across a broad frequency range, SFRA generates a unique response signature that reflects the transformer's internal condition. Deviations from baseline or reference responses indicate potential mechanical deformations. The study involves systematic SFRA testing on transformers subjected to different stress conditions to analyze the variations in frequency response. Results demonstrate SFRA's sensitivity to mechanical shifts and its effectiveness in early fault diagnosis, potentially extending transformer life and reducing unexpected failures. The findings advocate for SFRA as a valuable tool in predictive maintenance and reliability management for power transformers.

This proposed review effort includes feasibility of voltage and current profile up gradation on hybrid renewable energy systems (HRES). Typically, FACTS and D-FACTS devices are apposite for this enhancement. Main endeavour is to create the novel optimised model of HRES which encompasses the solar PV system, wind energy conversion system and micro-hydro system. Furthermore, D-FACTS device like UPQC is part of this model to boost up power quality and construct a reliable system. The proposed novel model includes controlled multiple input supply, common AC bus and non-linear load. This HRES based model is more appropriate to provide electricity to isolated places or lonely rural communities far away from the grid power supply.

This interconnection is evaluated during fault condition. Bus number 2 of IEEE 14 bus system is additionally connected with SPV and Salient pole synchronous generator because remaining buses are synchronous condensers and slack bus, thus bus 2 only modifiable. IEEE 14 bus system has three synchronous condensers which required maintaining power factor in the system. The power capacity of salient pole generator and SPV are same. Due to SPV integration on IEEE 14 bus system, total rotational inertia on bus 2 is reduced. Thus during fault condition near bus 2, all output parameters of generator are scared. By the interconnection of VSG (Virtual Synchronous Generator) on the same bus, it is possible to reduce the disturbance on the generator. Moreover, passive filters are used in VSG for harmonic reduction purpose.

This interconnection of SPV and IEEE 14 bus system is evaluated during a fault condition. In this paper, the synchronous generator is replaced by a SPV unit. Primarily, a SPV system of 40 MW capacity is connected at bus 2 in place of a 40 MVA synchronous generator. When fault occurs on any of the transmission lines of IEEE 14 bus system, then the system becomes unstable for a short period of time. IEEE 14 bus works on 60 Hz frequency. SPV has an ability to fluctuate output power which depends on input temperature and irradiation of solar. By varying temperature and solar irradiation of SPV, output power may oscillate, but to build constant output power, we assume SPV to be under a standard test condition (STC). During fault condition, output of SPV may disturb and this observational study is the main purpose of this paper. The IEEE 14 bus system has three synchronous condensers (to maint...

Digital Signal Processing (DSP) offers a cost-effective solution by using IM Current Signature Analysis (IMCSA) to identify faults. Faulty motors exhibit different frequency spectra in their line current compared to healthy ones due to harmonic components. IMCSA detects and analyzes these changes using Lab VIEW software for direct online monitoring. This paper discusses the impact of motor faults, fault tracking, and the use of Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT) for frequency spectrum analysis from analog current data, outlining the transformation process and experimental procedures for fault detection.
