This paper aims to find out about the dynamic of the power relation between Katniss Everdeen and President Snow from The Hunger Games trilogy, and how the power relation reflects domination and resistance. For the analysis, this paper applies Foucault's theory of power relations. The discussion concludes that the power relation between Katniss and President Snow is formed through the distribution of power that makes them subjects who can exercise power, and in the process, leads them to create a power relation where they complement each other’s power. A productive network is then formed as they work out the power relation with objectives and rationalization to exercise their power throughout the trilogy. Furthermore, the domination and resistance are reflected in the power relation through the use of those two effects of power as strategies by President Snow and Katniss respectively. The purpose of this study is to uncover the transmission structure of postmemory work contained in Chris Bohjalian's The Sandcastle Girls novel. Through the transmission structure, it can be seen the reconstruction and identification carried out by the narrator. This research also reveals a social discourse context that influences the writer in writing the novel. The theoretical framework used in this study is the post memory carried by Marianne Hirsch. This theory is used for memory transmission that occurs between the first generation with the next generation that can trigger the emergence of trauma to related events. The transmission structure will ultimately shape the construction of post memory work and influence the identification process undertaken by later generations.
The results of the study showed that in the Sandcastle Girls novel, there was a familial transmission carried out by the first generation, Armen Petrosian, to the third generation, Laura Petrosian, and the affiliative transmission that Laura obtained through public archive sources. This transmission influenced the reconstruction of narratives built by Laura where it can be seen that affiliative memories were more dominant than familial. This resulted in Laura's self- identification that can distinguish the memory of Self and Other thus the narrative construction carried out by Laura was distant. This research also revealed that there was a social discourse context which was the reason underlined by Bohjalian in writing the novel.

Once the four days passed, they consummated their marriage. Male children were raised to be warriors. Physical labor and rationed food helped strengthen and discipline their bodies. Girls were raised to become wives and mothers. Childbirth was seen as the woman's battlefield. A woman who died in childbirth was honored as a warrior, destined to be a goddess of the sun.
