The paper examines the status of six ICAR institutes libraries in the State of Haryana. The various aspects relating to these libraries such as finances, collection, library staff and services are discussed. The aspects related to application of information & communication technologies (ICTs) in the libraries under study are presented.

The paper maps ETDs global research on various publications and citation indicators. The total world output on ETDs during 1996-2017 cumulated to 107 papers, registering 59.75% growth per annum, and averaged 4.95 citations per paper during the period. Top 10 most productive countries, dominated with 99.06% publication share. USA accounted for the highest 52.34% publication share and the UK took lead in the relative citation index (1.82). Social Science is one of the most popular areas of research in ETDs research. The study identifies top 20 most productive organizations, authors and top 20 journals and 22 highly cited papers, reporting electronic theses and dissertations research.

Background: The study analyzed and evaluated the scientific research on "Covid-19 and Aged People" to find out the current status of research and to identify significant players (countries, organizations and authors) and important topics from the 469 high-cited publications receiving 100 and more citations using bibliometric methods. The paper evaluates and compares the features and functionalities of OPACs in university libraries of Chandigarh and Punjab, to identify whether these OPACs are offering searching capabilities and facilities in accordance with present days, rapid paced, digital age and IT-based society. The findings reveal that although all these OPACs under study provide basic search options and facilities, but an evaluation of the checklist features indicates shortcomings that continue to persist among them. System designers have as yet not exploited the latest technology inputs for better utilization of OPACs. Therefore, libraries have to rethink the application of advanced web technologies to make the OPACs efficiently functional, usable and attractive for users of the fast changing technology era to access information on OPAC in a modern technological environment.

The present study examines 579 Indian publications on "Migraine" research as covered in Scopus database during 2006-15, experiencing an annual growth rate of 17.37%, citation impact per paper of 8.32, international collaborative publication share of 9.80% and global publication share of 2.56%. The global publications share on "Migraine" came from several countries, of which the top 10 most productive countries accounted for 75.30% share of global publications output during 2006-15. A large number of Indian organizations and authors participated in Indian research on "Migraine" research during 2006-15, of which the top 15 organizations and 15 authors contributed 31.26% and 25.22% publications share and 70.50% and 23.50% citation share respectively of the Indian output and citations. Medicine, among subjects, contributed the largest publications (63.90%), followed by pharmacology, toxicology & pharmaceutics (34.72%), neurosciences (14.16%), biochemistry, genetics & molecular biology (13.64%) and chemistry (3.97%) during 2006-15. Indian publications on migraine research appeared in several journals, of which the top 15 journals contributed 32.64% share of the India's output. The top 14 highly cited papers registered 53 to 1087 citations, and together contributed 2094 citations, leading to the average citation per paper of 149.57. Concludes that there is an urgent need to frame a national policy in this area, undertake more R&D and recognize migraine research as a public health problem and allocate more healthcare funds in this area.

The paper presents an analysis of 14317 world papers in celiac disease, retrieved from Scopus database for the period 2005-14, experiencing an annual average growth rate of 5.20% and citation impact of 12.53.The 15 most productive countries account for 83.89% share in world output, with largest share (21.40%) coming from U.S.A, followed by Italy (12.61%), U.K. (8.23%), Germany (5.41%) etc., during 2005-14. U.S.A achieved the global citation share (35.13%) followed by Italy (17.16%), U.K. (15.74%) etc. Medicine registered the highest publication share (87.93%), followed by biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology (13.56%), immunology and microbiology (6.73%), agricultural and biological sciences, (5.57%), nursing (3.07%), pharmacology, toxicology and pharmaceutics (2.74%), neurosciences (2.26%), etc. Diarrhoea contributed the largest share (8.10%) in publications by symptoms during 2005-14, followed by abdominal pain (7.68%), insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (6.84%), Crohn disease (6.22%), enteritis (5.34%), etc. Gluten free diet contributed the largest share (18.47%) among significant keywords. The 15 most productive organisations, authors and journals accounted for 15.06%, 10.71% and 16.57% share of the world publication output respectively during 2005-14. It is concluded that individual countries must foster global research and development, by way of providing increased investment in R and D and increase their specialized manpower and provide adequate training courses and infrastructural facilities to scientists and researchers to control the challenges faced by the spread of this disease.

Web 2.0 has ushered a new era of social tools, social media, and social networking facilitating social interactions on web platform. The Web 2.0, which made a debut in 2004, has been defined in several different ways like 'people to people collaboration in content creation on the web' 1 , 'share information online, user generated media content constantly modified' 2 , 'opensource, interactive and user-controlled online applications or creation of informal users' networks facilitating free flow of ideas and knowledge' 3 , and 'to deliver rich user experience' 4. Web 2.0, social networking and social media are inextricably linked and have in fact often been used synonymously 5. Web 2.0 phenomena have indeed made a significant impact on the information landscape. According to Miller, 'it is a technology, a philosophy, a business plan, a behaviour and a participatory model to engage users', which led Michael Cassey to coin the term 'Library 2.0' and launch an associated blog in 2005 6. Web 2.0 influenced the conceptualisation of the terms Library 2.0 and Business 2.0. Library 2.0 is the library sector's response to Web 2.0; Library 2.0 is a service model that relates to the delivery of library programmes and services in an innovative way 7. Web 2.0 supports or leads to Business 2.0 or Library 2.0 It also relates as to how library and information professionals are translating the principles of Web 2.0 into the design and delivery of library services 8,9. Web 2.0 and social media skills will become essential for library staff as they make transition to becoming Librarian 2.0. Mishra 10 asserts that Library 2.0 is a mix of concepts that focus on ongoing conversations around the ways libraries should change to make themselves and their services viable to end users. Maness 11 defined 'Library 2.0 as the application of interactive collaborative and multimedia web-based technologies to web-based library services and collections'. Library 2.0 is certainly a paradigm shift in the approach to the delivery of library services in the internet age. 2. LIterature revIew The literature review covered here is limited to studies relating to bibliometric assessment of publications

The present study examined 1432 global publications on Andrographis paniculata plant, as indexed in Scopus bibliographical and citation database during 2003-18, with a view to understand their growth rate, global publication share, citation impact, international collaborative papers share, distribution of publications by broad subjects, productivity and citation profile of top organizations and authors, preferred media of communication and bibliographic characteristics of high cited papers. The global publications registered an annual average growth rate of 10.03% and its citation impact averaged to 16.78 citations per paper. Amongst 73 participitating countries on the subject, the top 10 countries contributed 96.93% global publication share and 98.17% global citation share during 2003-18. India alone contributed the global share of 46.13%, followed by China and Malaysia (together 23.39% global share) and other top 7 countries have global share ranged from 1.96% to 6.63% during 2003-18. Four countries among top 10, registered world average of 17.0 citation per paper and 1.01 relative citation index: U.K. (45.89 and 2.73), Taiwan (32.27 and 1.92), USA (30.65 and 1.83) and Thailand (22.87 and 1.36) during 2003-18. Pharmacology, toxicology and pharmaceutics contributed the largest publications share of 50.98%, followed by medicine biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology, agricultural and biological sciences and chemistry (from 13.41% to 33.24%) and immunology and microbiology, environment science and veterinary science (from 2.30% to 7.05%) during 2003-18. Among 301 organizations and 413 authors contributing to global Andrographis paniculata research, the 15 most productive global organizations and authors together contributed 22.07% and 10.75% global publication share and 23.66% and 11.35% global citation share respectively during 2003-18. Universiti Putra Malaysia (55 papers), Mahidol University, Thailand (31 papers) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (28 papers) were the leading contributing organizations. D. Talei and A.Valdiani (17 papers each) and A.E. Nugroho (13 papers) were the leading productive authors. Journal of Ethnopharmacology (with 54 papers), International Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (31 papers) and Phytotherapy Research (27 papers), were the three leading journals contributing research on this subject. Amongst 1413 journal papers (in 145 journals) in global Andrographis paniculata research, the top 15 most productive journals contributed 22.36% share of total journal publication output during 2003-18. Thirty Eight publications were found to be high cited, as they registered citations from 102 to 842 during 2003-18 and they together received 6356 citations, which averaged to 164.63 citations per paper.

A quantitative and qualitative assessment of global research output (2016) on the "Rhodiola rosea" plant based on select bibliometric indicators, using Scopus database covering period 1993-2018, is presented here. Analyzed data on a series of bibliometric measures, like average annual growth, citations per paper, international collaborative papers, relative citation index, activity index, top productive countries, organizations, authors, journals and highly cited papers. The global publications registered an annual average growth rate of 12.97% and its citation impact averaged to 17.59 citations per paper. China and USA together account for more than 36% share of global output on Rhodiola rosea, whereas other 8 top ranking countries accounted each for global share between 4.06% and 7.60% during 2003-18. 83.04% global publication share and 89.95% global citation share has been contributed by top 10 countries during 2003-18. Sweden (2.78), Canada (1.17) and USA (1.11) registered the highest relative citation index among top 10 countries during 2003-18. Swedish Herbal Institute, Askloster, Sweden (21 papers), Medical University of Warsaw, Poland (14 papers), Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary were the three the most productive organizations and Z. Gyorgy and A. Panossian (18 papers each) and G. Wikman (14 papers) were the three top most productive authors. Phytomedicine (25 papers), Phytotherapy Research (21 papers) and Evidence-based Complementary and Alternate Medicine (15 papers) were the three leading journals contributing research in this area.

The present study examined 962 global publications on Aegle marmelos, as covered in Scopus database during 2004-18, with a view to understand its growth rate, global share, citation impact, international collaborative papers share, distribution of publications by broad subjects, productivity and citation profile of top organizations and authors, preferred communication media and characteristics of high cited papers. Aegle marmelos global output registered 36.37% annual growth and averaged 16.0 citations per paper during the period. 43 countries participated in the global Aegle marmelos research output during 2004-18, of which the top 10 most productive countries contributed 98.97% global publication share and more than 100.0% global citation share. India alone contributed 82.30% of the global publication share, while all other 9 top countries contributed from 1.34% to 3.29% during 2004-18. Pharmacology, toxicology and pharmaceutics was the most followed subject with 47.71% global share, followed by medicine (29.0%), biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology (22.35%), agricultural and biological sciences (21.41%), etc. during 2004-18. Top 15 productive organizations and authors accounted for 19.65% and 12.79% global publications share and 22.85% and 21.30% global citations share in global Aegle marmelos research output. Top 15 most productive journals accounted for 19.68% of global publication share in journals. Only 32 publications registered high citations with 100-427 citations per paper and collectively averaging to 166.56 citations per paper. Suggest that the above analysis will help the policy-makers and scholars to explore the full potential of Aegle marmelos in preventing and treating diseases and also to identify future research areas in this field.

The paper presents a analysis of quantitative and qualitative dimensions of global research output (3488 records) on "Impact of COVID-19 on Children and Adolescents" , based on indexed publications in Scopus database. The global publications on this theme averaged 8.31 citations per paper. About 1.49% share of its total publications in this area received external funding support. The 145 countries partcipitated in global research output on "Impact of COVID-19 on Children and Adults" , of which the top 10 countries accounted for 85.21% and more than 100% share of global publications and citations. The USA, U.K. and Italy leads in global publications ranking and productivity as against China (3.16), U.K (1.28) and USA (1.27) leading in terms of relative of relative citation index. The 412 organizations and 661 authors participated in global research on this theme, with top 15 most productive organizations and authors contributing 21.07% and 4.30% global publications share and 38.05% and 12.98% global citations share. Harvard Medical School, USA, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China and Tongji Medical College, China leads the world as the most productive organizatons (with 480, 67 and 63 publications) and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China (31.97 and 3.85), Tongji Medical College, China (19.92 and 2.40) and Children Hospital of Philadelphia, USA (19.30 and 2.32) leading as the most impactful organizations in the world in terms of citation per paper and relative citation index. This article is based on an extensive study that investigated the information seeking behaviour of agricultural scientists at the ICAR establishments of North-Western India in the electronic environment. The characteristics of electronic environment have an advantage over print environment, and have paved way for effecting changes in the traditional formats of information, emergence of new formats, as well as formulation of new models for dissemination of information. This paper analyzes 833 research publications of the Panjab University in chemistryduringeight years (2008-15), as covered in Scopus International database. The study quantifies publication data in various aspects of performance, such as the publication growth, research impact and quality, national and international collaboration, contribution and impact of authors, major areas of research and preferred channels of research communications and characteristics of higher cited papers. The findings reveal that Panjab University total publications in chemistry has increased at an annual average growth rate of 17.04% and registered an average citation impact per paper of 6.38 during 2008-15. Coronavirus disease 2019 was first reported in Wuhan, China, in late December 2019. Since then, Covid-19 has spread rapidly worldwide and has become a global pandemic affecting >200 countries and territories, with an unprecedented effect not only on public health, but also social and economic activities. 1 The interaction between the viral spike (S) protein and angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) is likely to have a central role in disease pathogenesis, especially in cardiovascular manifestations of this disease, and this interaction is a potential target for the prevention and treatment of Covid-19. host cells, which is likely to be involved in the cardiovascular manifestations of Covid-19. 1 However, in addition to respiratory symptoms, uncontrolled SARS-CoV-2 infection can trigger a cytokine storm, where by pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines such as tumour necrosis factor-α, IL-1β and IL-6 are overproduced by the immune system, resulting in multiorgan damage. 2 The presence of underlying or pre-existing cardiovascular comorbidities in patients with Covid-19 is associated and linked with worse outcomes and increased risk of death in patients. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a common comorbidity observed in patients infected with SARS. Among the comorbidity, the most common underlying diseases were diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, obesity, cancer and other CVDs. In addition, the prevalence of these pre-existing conditions was higher in critically ill patients (such as those admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU)) and in (those who died). 1 Covid-19 can cause cardiovascular disorders, including myocardial injury, arrhythmias, acute coronary syndrome and venous thromboembolism. 3-5 Children with Covid-19 have also been reported to develop hyperinflammatory shock with features akin to including cardiac dysfunction and coronary vessel abnormalities. Background: Covid-19 pandemic had been a disastrous catastrophe on human race affecting different groups of population differently. Pregnancy is a condition which too has been affected by Covid-19. The present study aims to examine the research productivity of Covid-19 and pregnancy. Methods: Keywords pertaining to “Covid-19” and “Pregnancy” were used in search string in Scopus database for the period 2020-21. Data regarding publications growth, productive countries, authors and institutions, high cited papers and significant keywords was retrieved to analyze results. Results: The search retrieved 2945 global publications for the period 2020-21. The USA, UK and China were the most productive countries (with 28.96%, 11.27% and 9.3% global share) on “Covid-19 and Pregnancy”. The study examines 493 global dysgraphia research papers indexed in Scopus database during the last 10 years from 2007 to 2016. These publications registered an annual average growth rate of 4.02% and citation impact per paper averaged to 7.90. Among the 64 countries participating in dysgraphia global research, the top 10 most productive countries contributed individually global share from 3.04% to 20.69%, with USA contributing the largest global publication share of 20.69%, followed by Italy (11.76%), U.K. (11.36%), Japan (8.32%), etc. The cumulative global publication share of the top 10 most productive countries accounted for 81.34% global publication share and 96.74% global citation share during 2007-16. Four out of 10 countries have scored relative citation index above the world average of 1.19: Canada (2.85), USA (1.51), U.K. (1.46) and Israel (1.39) during 2007-16.
