Since then, a large number of authors have studied the weak and strong convergence problems of the iterative algorithms for such a class of mappings. It is well known that the asymptotically nonexpansive mappings is a proper subclass of the class of asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings. In the present paper, we devote our study to the iterative algorithms for finding the fixed points of asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings in Hilbert spaces. We suggest an iterative algorithm and prove that it converges strongly to the fixed points of asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings. MSC: 47J25; 47H09; 65J15 Keywords: asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings; iterative algorithms; fixed point; Hilbert space All authors read and approved the final manuscript.

We show that our iteration process is faster than all of the Picard, the Mann, the Agarwal et al., and the Abbas et al. iteration processes. We support our analytic proof by a numerical example in which we approximate the fixed point by a computer using Matlab program. We also prove some weak convergence and strong convergence theorems for the nonexpansive mappings. MSC: 47H09; 47H10

We also prove that such a sequence converges strongly to a common fixed point of a finite family of asymptotically strictly pseudocontractive mappings. Results in the paper extend and improve recent results in the literature. MSC: 47H09, 47H10.

Our results generalize, unify and extend many known results from the existing literature. MSC: 54H25; 54E40

Weak and strong convergence theorems have been proved, in the framework of a Banach space. MSC: 47H09; 47H10

We derive several Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for geometrically (GG) nonconvex (relative convex) function and geometrically arithmetically (GA) nonconvex (relative convex) functions. We also obtain some fractional Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities. It is shown that one can obtain the previously known results as special cases from our results. The ideas and techniques of this paper may inspire further research in this field.
