Commenced my research endeavor as a carbonate sedimentologist, and soon expanded into full-fledged sedimentologist, exploring the major controls on sedimentation: tectonics, climate, sea level and sediment flux, in a variety of settings ranging from river basins, coastal marine regime, submarine, buried strata that spanned in agefrom Devonian-Recent.An advocate of transcendence of subject and spatial scale barriers for understanding the sedimentary systems, for the benefit of petroleum exploration, environmental management and ecological sustenance.
