Herein, we are reporting increased thermal properties and self-sustaining ability of polymer compositions with silica. The composite of poly (acrylamide-co-acrylic acid) [P(AM-co-AA)] with silica created intermolecular interactions. The formation of a composite has confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy, DSC, TGA, and FE-SEM analysis. The silica particles were homogeneously distributed in the P(AM-co-AA). The incorporation of silica particles gives rise to the enhancement of thermal stability due to the strong interactions between silica and poly (acrylamide-co-acrylic acid) polymer.

The present work is emphasizing on the use of solid acid catalysts for the condensation of INH with 2-hydroxy benzaldehyde and its acetyl and benzoyl scaffolds. The Montmorrillonite K 10 clay and Amberlyst are proved highly efficient in catalysing the reactions. Both catalysts offer several advantages like energy efficiency, short reaction time and easy separation techniques over conventional methods and provide safer pathways. The synthesized isonicotinohydrazide (INH) derivative is showing the excellent binding ability with some transition metal ions. The (2HB) isonicotinohydrazide is readily forming complexes with the transition metal ions like Zn +2 , Cu +2 , Co +2 , Ni +2 etc. The (2HB) INH is found to have selective probe towards the Co+2 ions estimated from UV-Visible spectrometric analysis. The synthesis of complex could be easily observed by simple visual determinations.

Azomethine is the key linkage in all Schiff base reactions. The present context has efficiently emphasized on the utilization of Schiff base strategy effectively in the synthesis of polyazomethine polymer gel materials. The synthesized polymer gel is characterized by different physical techniques for testing its proper existence such as FESEM analysis, thermal gravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimeter analysis, FTIR analysis and electron dispersive X-ray scattering analysis. The morphological study has revealed that the material is having 3D lamellar-layered architecture, i.e., layerby-layer array of polymer chains. The synthesis governs several advantages, such as executing without using any catalyst and water as a green solvent. The present study also checked its complexion ability with nitro aromatic acceptors. The intercalation of nitro aromatic molecule between the two straight chains of the polymer gel is the beautiful peculiarity of these red-coloured complexes.

The removal of dyes from waste water before their discharge into aquatic ecosystems is of substantial concern. Amongst functional macromolecules, the combination of polymers with dyes is a research fi eld of enormous potential with regard to high-performance materials. The present study investigates interactions strategies between P(AM-co-AA) polymer with pyrazolone azo dyes in water as green solvent. These interactions were confi rmed by FTIR spectroscopy, Ultra-visible spectroscopy, EDAX analysis, and FE-SEM analysis. Polymer P(AM-co-AA) has porous structure in which dyes present in the water get absorb hence it is use to remove pyrazolone dyes from water.
