This deadly virus has infected more than millions people and claimed many lives around the world. Besides, people had to pass through home quarantine for a long period of time. During mid-March, the wave of COVID-19 was officially confirmed in Bangladesh. After the press release, the agro-commodity prices were spiked up just within two days in the country. The unreasonable increase in prices added extra edge for declining purchasing power of Bangladeshi individuals as well as rising financial overload. Therefore, the current study investigated the inner issues causing change in the agro-commodity prices in the country. The study results depict that the agro-commodity prices are suddenly or mostly changed because of the syndicating channel during any social event or crisis. We constructed two major factors of syndicating channels (translucent activity and shadow pricing) that found significant correlation with agro-commodity prices. The findings of the study were made based on open-ended opinions of the first study and close-ended opinions of the second study in Bangladesh, where n=393. Finally, the study outcomes would add value to the literature on syndicating channel effects and control in the developing country even though this research has geographical, time and budget limitations.
