Este trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de desenvolver um questionário adaptado do Instrumento SERVQUAL para mensurar a Qualidade em Serviços prestados por Lan Houses. Além disso, pretendeu-se investigar a utilização da Análise de Quartis na priorização dos itens para a realização de ações corretivas para a melhoria da qualidade do serviço analisado. Visando estes objetivos, foi desenvolvida uma adaptação do Instrumento SERVQUAL com base na literatura e em entrevistas com gerentes de Lan Houses, a partir das quais foram extraídas as informações para sua adaptação ao objeto de estudo. Depois de desenvolvido, o instrumento foi aplicado e as implicações gerenciais de seu uso (em conjunto com a Análise de Quartis) foram discutidas com o gerente da Lan House, de onde foi obtido um feedback sobre a validade do modelo desenvolvido. 

Este trabajo propone un enfoque para obtener un índice global de seguridad operacional en pistas aeroportuarias, con criterios basados en eventos de seguridad. Se ponderan los eventos en base a los datos cardinales extraídos a partir de la percepción de un experto sobre los riesgos de seguridad derivados de ellos, utilizando el método de los pesos dinámicos (Swing Weights). Se ha utilizado la teoría del valor multiatributo para agrupar los diferentes criterios en un índice global, con el fin de analizar la evolución de los niveles de seguridad. Este enfoque se aplicó a las operaciones del Aeropuerto Internacional de São Paulo-Guarulhos. Se realizaron análisis de tendencias con el fin de poner de relieve los indicadores con mayor urgencia para llevar a cabo acciones encaminadas a aumentar los niveles de seguridad. Los resultados fueron considerados consistentes, lo que contribuye a la continuidad de su aplicación práctica en la gestión de la seguridad del aeropuerto.

Este trabalho propõe um modelo multicriterial de avaliação de desempenho para apoiar o processo de gestão em instituições públicas. O modelo foi aplicado ao setor de obras, manutenção e serviços de uma instituição federal. A Metodologia Multicritério de Apoio à Decisão - Construtivista (MCDA-C) foi o instrumento de intervenção adotado para a obtenção e análise dos dados por ser capaz de tratar diferentes tipos de informações e por elicitar os objetivos de decisão conforme os valores dos decisores, possibilitando que eles reflitam sobre suas prioridades e preferências. Como resultados, o modelo possibilitou (i) a medição do desempenho do setor a partir dos aspectos considerados relevantes pelo decisor; (ii) a análise da evolução no desempenho de cada indicador e de suas tendências; (iii) o entendimento dos principais problemas de desempenho do setor e dos pontos passíveis de melhoria; (iv) e a realização de recomendações para resolver os problemas de desempenho identificados.

The aim of this work was to study the genetic parameters, to obtaine the progenies by crossings among the yellow passion fruits cultivars (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa), following the Design I. The results of the variance analysis demonstrated large variability to be exploited in the population. The trait number of fruit per plant presented the largest additive genetic variation coefficient, demonstrating that larger gains could be obtained for the trait. In terms of genetic action, number of fruits per plant, skin thickness and number of days by flowering have demonstrated to be characterized by the overdominance. Other important traits seem to have presented larger addictive effect than the dominance, as weight, length and width of fruits. The highest values of the coefficients of heritabilities were obtained for the males and the smallest for the females within males, and for the selection the coefficients should be used in the narrow sense.

Method for Enrichment Evaluations-Group Decision Support System (PROMETHEE GDSS) (Macharis et al., 1998) and Graphical Analysis for Interactive Assistance (GAIA) (Hayes et al., 2009) to evaluate the performance in the subsystems In this study, a group decision-making method was chosen to use, due to the need for the team members to participate in incorporates their values and preferences.

Resumo: No século XXI, todas as organizações são afetadas direta ou indiretamente pelo uso das tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC). A elaboração de bons projetos para implantação dessas tecnologias é de fundamental importância para que uma empresa se mantenha competitiva frente a seus concorrentes. Neste contexto, este trabalho analisa a viabilidade econômica para a implantação de um sistema de comunicação baseado em VoIP (Voice on Internet Protocol) em uma empresa do setor industrial alimentício. Neste sentido, foram comparados o sistema de telefonia existente na empresa com um projeto proposto para implantação de um sistema de VoIP. Para tanto, foi realizada a modelagem dos custos incorridos através de equações e utilizados como indicadores de viabilidade do projeto a análise do ponto de equilíbrio, o payback, o valor presente líquido e a taxa interna de retorno. Como resultado, concluiu-se que a implantação de sistemas de telefonia baseados em VoIP pode resultar em grande economia de custos, permitindo recuperar rapidamente o capital investido no projeto. Esta conclusão foi ratificada na análise de todos os indicadores citados acima, o que permitiu recomendar a implementação do projeto e verificar a aplicabilidade dos modelos de custo desenvolvidos.

Este trabalho propõe uma abordagem para a obtenção de um índice global de segurança operacional em pistas aeroportuárias, através da análise de eventos de segurança. Nela ponderam-se os eventos de forma proporcional aos riscos à segurança deles resultantes. A partir da classificação de risco de cada evento, utiliza-se o método Borda para a obtenção de pesos e o método Promethee II para o cálculo de um índice global de segurança. Esta abordagem foi aplicada no Aeroporto Internacional de São Paulo/Guarulhos. Os resultados indicam quedas similares de 3,5% em relação à média no nível de segurança global nos anos 3 e 4. No período mais recente os desempenhos unicriteriais foram positivos em 7 dos 10 critérios avaliados, apresentando queda de 37%, 41% e 17% em relação à média nos indicadores de colisões de aeronaves, colisões de propriedades e danos causados por objetos estranhos respectivamente. Por fim, foram recomendadas ações para elevar os níveis de segurança do sistema aeroportuário...

The aim of this work is to optimize laminated composite plates
subjected to impulse loads by using the Simulated Annealing
optimization method. Basically, the goal is to minimize the mass of
the composites under constraints on the maximum elastic
displacements. Thicknesses, orientation angles and number of layers
are used as design variables in la\-mi\-nated plates discretized in
finite elements, following the heuristics here developed for
laminate synthesis. Numerical applications are performed for uniform
as well for non uniform laminates subdivided in regions with
different thicknesses, number of layers and fiber orientations.
Also, the synthesis of laminated plates is investigated using
concepts of topology optimization. Previously to the optimization
phase, is performed a dynamic behavior analysis of the AST6
finite element used in the research.

The hierarchical optimization of fiber reinforced composites now deals with problems involving vibration frequencies. It was previously developed for maximization of stiffness in laminated structures, considering two design levels: the macro-structural and the micro-structural. In the first level, layer's orientations and fiber volume fractions are defined and, in the second, the shape of the fibers is determined in order to design material microstructure, with both levels properly coupled. This way, structure and material are simultaneously designed. In this work, the objective is to maximize vibration frequencies of laminated plates. The solution of the two-level optimization problem is carried out using sequential approximate optimization techniques with Canfield eigenvalue approximations. To model the variable material, are employed the discrete material optimization for layers orientations and proper surrogate models based on asymptotic homogenization results for variations in the microstructure. The results here presented show correlation with the results for stiffness maximization previously obtained but the density variation allowed also influences some of them. Possibility of multiple eigenvalues is monitored.

This work verses about contributions in the optimization of
laminated fiber reinforced composites. At first, it is presented a
new solution concept to Discrete Material Optimization (DMO)
problems based on Sequential Approximate Optimization (SAO)
techniques, employing new compliance approximations in terms of
intermediate variables which are explicit functions of the DMO
weights. The proposed methodology improves significantly the quality
of the approximations and consequently the general convergence
characteristics of several DMO compliance minimization (stiffness
maximization) problems. Then, it is presented a Hierarchical
Optimization scheme for laminated composite structures, considering
simultaneous design of macroscopic (structural) and microscopic
(material) levels. The macroscopic level takes into account
orientations and fiber volume fractions of unidirectional composite
layers. The microscopic level considers the cross-sectional size and
shape of the reinforcement fibers, assuming them elliptical. Both
levels are coupled and the objective is to minimize compliance under
a total fiber volume fraction constraint. It is shown that changes
in the shape of the fibers permit to increase structural stiffness.
An assessment of microstructural stresses is also included and shows
the fibers' shape influence on layers' stress concentrations.

Aiming the development of new technologies for the petrol field operations, an innovative method to tamponing oils wells is being studied due to significant advantages over the traditional cementing procedures. In a general context, a cylinder positioned at the well hole will work, initially, as a vessel for a fluid composed of chemical species capable to generate such an intense heat after an exothermic reaction, so that a strong heat source will flow by conduction throughout the composite region from the inner wall of the cylinder to the outer surface that has a perfect thermal contact with the surroundings geological formation, which will be exposed to high values of temperatures after a certain period of time. The magnitude of the temperature will be sufficient to reach the melting temperature of the cap rock, causing the vitrification and so resulting in the complete well sealing. Carrying out an unprecedent study, the present methodology will investigate which analytical approach will provide the most realistic and bests results in the existing literature by a comparison made between two mathematical techniques for the transient conduction flow through composite regions: The generalized orthogonal expansion technique utilized in deriving the solution and the Laplace transform for solving semi-infinite and infinite medium problems.

This paper performs a comparative analysis of controller designs for an aircraft turbojet: (1) H ∞ robust controller with an optimized loop shape; (2) discrete linear quadratic regulator with integral action; and (3) linear quadratic gaussian controller with loop transfer recovery. Results reveal H ∞ controller as best suited to this application.
