One of the compounds contained in the detergent is a phosphate compound which can lead to eutrophication in the body of water. Phytoremediation is the use of plants and parts for waste decontamination and environmental pollution problems. Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) and kiambang (Salvania natans) is one of the water plants that can be used to reduce the levels of pollutants in the waste of the clothes washing industry by phytoremediation.
This study aims to determine the ability of Eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) and kiambang (Salvania natans) to decrease the phosphate in the wash waste by using two variables ie the number of plants 2, 4 and 6 plants and contact time 2, 4 and 6 days. The results showed that the most optimum plants decreased the phosphate concentration of Eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) with 2 plants and 4 days contact time with phosphate concentration 0.3389 mg / L

Population growth led to an increase in waste generation. Waste generation produces leachate due to rain water that infiltrated into landfills. Leachate in Bantargebang have the characteristics of pH 6-9, 27°C-30°C, COD 3000 mg/L - 10000 mg/L, NH4 2000 mg/L - 3000 mg/L. Bantargebang do leachate treatment at Waste Water Treatment Plant 3 (IPAS 3) physics (equalization and sedimentation), chemical (coagulation and flocculation) and biology (aeration, Rotating Biological Denitrification (RBD), and facultative). In general, have achieved good quality IPAS appropriate outlet quality standards required in the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No.51 of 1995.
Keyword : leachate, leachate treatment plant, sanitary landfill
