Methods like top-down or bottom-up approaches are used in manufacturing nanoparticles and nanorobots, catering to the needs of medical diagnostics and therapeutics. Nanorobotics advances medicine through miniaturization from microelectronics to nanoelectronics. Nanotechnology can be applied to all fields of dentistry such as to create nano implants, nano-drug delivery systems, nanocomposites and nano impression materials. An accurate segmentation of brain tissues provides a way to identify many brain disorders. This paper presents unsupervised approaches for brain image segmentation. The proposed method consists of four stages. Initially an anisotropic diffusion filtering is used as a pre-processing step to eliminate bias field and random noise. Then Stationary wavelet transform (SWT) is applied to the images to obtain multi-resolution information for distinguishing different tissues. Statistical information of the different tissues is extracted by applying spatial filtering to the coefficients of SWT. These features are combined together with the raw wavelet transform coefficients to obtain a feature vector. This feature vector is applied to the SOM network. I... more In any good crop production, timely irrigation and demand-based water supply is very important. In this paper, we propose the conceptual design of an automated irrigation system for Palm trees, especially coconut trees. In Southern part of India, climate is more suitable for Coconut crop. In non-coastal areas where water is a scarce resource, automated drip irrigation is found to be a better solution. Various sensors like GPS (Global Position Sensors), soil moisture, temperature and climate are used to calculate site-specific, real-time irrigation requirement using Penman Monticth water demand model. In our design, palm trees are placed at every edge and middle of regular hexagonal structure which increases the coverage area of the Zigbee communication and reduces the installation cost compared to traditional square spacing.

This paper tries to automate this activity by using Projector Light Controller Module (PLCM) which consists of 180∘ continuous rotating ultrasound sensor that senses the presence of the speaker near the white marker board and send this information via RF wireless communication to the light control system for decision making to automatically turn ON the light. As the speaker moves away from the white marker board, lights will be automatically turned off. This design will take care of two adjacent white markers board in the conference/seminar hall, to turn ON the lights of respective white marker board.

A real world dataset of handwritten text samples will be maintained and based on few features like Margins, Baseline, Size, Zones etc. depicted in each of the samples and extracted through Image processing techniques and , an approximate analysis of the writer's personality trait will be done. These traits will then be mapped to the existing personality theories and finally a personality type, temperament and a detailed report will be given for the handwritten sample, as the result of analysis.

Human thought is inherently emotional and emotions are an essential and productive aspect of huma... more Human thought is inherently emotional and emotions are an essential and productive aspect of human thought and action. Emotions though supposed to be erratic from the early days, are proved to be a mechanism that encompasses readiness to act, expectations, focus to goals, appraisal-of self and others and the resulting reactions. Cognition by itself means the perception, experience and expression of emotions. While experiencing the emotion, there are also physiological changes[1,7] taking place in the human body, like variations in the heart rate(ECG/HRV), skin conductance(GSR), breathing rate(BR), blood volume pulse(BVP),brain waves (EEG), temperature and muscle tension, and these are some of the metrics to sense emotive coefficient. The subjects experiencing emotions in a higher magnitude differ from those who can regulate these emotional experiences and such a factor is named as Emotional Intelligence. This difference in experience is due a triadvalue , expectation and reality; which forms an emotional selfstructure. Though there is always an emotional experience in some magnitude, the expression may be evident or completely concealed or the subject is deceptive or tries to hide the emotion by not expressing. This paper looks at the ways in which the stimuli for triggering off the emotional state of the subject are identified, applied and hence perceived by the subject(s) and parameters like GSR and BVP or PR [23] and their variations discovered to conclude the emotional state of the subject. The subject also gives his feedback about the emotions he is undergoing and hence facilitates validation.

Our objective is to analyze, design and implement the above mentioned system to enhance the machine's understanding of humans based upon affective behavior of humans. This work follows vision based techniques for recognition and identification of a vast range of non-overlapping body poses. The problem in body-posture identification is the inherent complexity of poses, like same pose can be present in a number of different scenarios or situations. Therefore it is inappropriate to guess the exact pose without identifying facial gestures, hand gestures and speech. Hence our approach is to identify the exact position of arms, head, shoulders and torso, so that, we can estimate the intensity of any pose and also identify possible emotion(s) under which this pose is expressed. The accuracy of this system is as good as 92%.
