Harmonics, generated by nonlinear loads in the system, are multiples of fundamental frequency. This paper presents the comparative analysis and discussion of various control techniques for VSC of a grid connected PV based micro grid to mitigate the harmonics. The mitigation of harmonics is achieved using control techniques viz. conventional and adaptive of reference generation. Simulation of the developed model is carried out on MATLAB/Simulink. Performance of the system is evaluated under IEEE-519 standard.
