The transfer operator in the governing equation of isotropic turbulence, similar in structure to ... more The transfer operator in the governing equation of isotropic turbulence, similar in structure to the inertial transfer operator in the laminar flow is a product of an assumption. It is argued that it should be called convective operator instead of a transfer operator. This operator is then replaced by a multiplier of the same dimension. On the basis of this assumption a study on the general decay of isotropic turbulence is done. An expression of longitudinal correlation coefficient is found and plotted against separation distance between two close points of measurement. The new result is compared with the standard one. The condition under which the present scheme gives a result same as the standard result is also discussed.

This paper proposes a new method for enhancing the contrast as well as brightness of color images... more This paper proposes a new method for enhancing the contrast as well as brightness of color images, based on orthogonal D4 Wavelet transform human visual system and also considers distinction between the background and foreground of the images. The RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) values of each pixel in a color image are converted to HSI (Hue, Saturation, and Intensity) value. On the S components of the color image, the orthogonal D4 Wavelet transform is applied in the appropriate blocks. It can be detected by suitable edge detector. The orthogonal D4 Wavelet transform decomposes the S component into detail and approximate components. Then the contrast as well as brightness enhancement on the approximate component based on the human visual system is applied. For I component histogram equalization is applied. IWT is applied on the detail and modified approximate component for the selected block. The old H, modified S and modified I, are then converted into the RGB color space. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated experimentally.

In this paper we propose a new watermarking schema i.e. the combination of color space and wavele... more In this paper we propose a new watermarking schema i.e. the combination of color space and wavelet transform. Watermarking is a technique that authenticates a digital picture by hiding the secret information into the image. Now, a lot of algorithms and methods have been developed for greyscale images but the particularities of color spaces have to be studied. On the other hand, the wavelet transform allows different possibilities of integrating a mark because of the uses of different parameters: the scale of decomposition, size, shape and localisation of the mark, and the used color space, etc. The RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) values of each pixel of the host color image as well as the color key image are converted to HSV (Hue, Saturation, and Value) values. Then the orthogonal D4 Wavelet transform is applied in each plate of host image and key image. Now insert the key component into appropriate blocks of host image's different plates. The experimental results show the effectiveness of our algorithm.

A positive integer is expressed as a sum of squares of positive integers in a unique way applying... more A positive integer is expressed as a sum of squares of positive integers in a unique way applying a special technique. The expression, thus obtained is resolved into two factors using the concept of Clifford algebra. This technique is applied on a set of positive integers. Using these factors, a new mean of the set of integers, different from the arithmetic mean, is developed. A detailed discussion involving Cl(0,3) as an example is presented. The new mean bears the imprint of degree of randomness of the data set. More random is the data set more away is the new mean from the arithmetic mean. In addition to the new mean a new standard deviation is also developed. It is shown that the new standard deviation is more sensitive to randomness than standard deviation.
