Most previous studies have focused on enhancing SDL skills through various instructional methods. Today, technology plays a crucial role in learning. In the current context, exploring the outcomes of incorporating digital technology in teaching methods to enhance SDL skills is an intriguing subject. This study investigated the impact of SDL skills and learning achievement promotion by employing learning activities based on the constructionism approach in a digital learning ecosystem (DLE). The study used a quasi-experimental research approach with a non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group design. The participants were eleventh-grade students. The results showed that both the SDL skills and learning achievement of the experimental group increased more compared to those of the control group. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that learning-by-marking within an environment where numerous digital technologies serve as learning tools has a positive impact on SDL skills and learning achievement. self-directed learning (SDL), constructionism, and the digital learning ecosystem (DLE)

The objectives of this study were to develop a constructionist instructional model in a digital learning ecosystem (DLE) to promote SDL skills. The research was divided into 2 phases in terms of instructional design models. The first phase was model development. It involved syntheses of the related literature. The second phase was model validation. This was conducted with the help of 7 experts who had doctoral degrees as well as expertise and experience in instructional design. The results of the model development phase showed that instruction in constructionism consists of 5 stages: challenge, search, design, design, and evaluate. It was also found that a DLE consists of both biotic and abiotic components that trigger interactions within the ecosystem. In addition, SDL skills consist of the ability to be a self-motivated learner, the ability to learn efficie...

Therefore, learning activities that enhance LKCs are essential for all teachers. The objectives of this research were to develop a Scientific Imagineering (SIG) learning activity through Facebook in enhancing LKC development and to study its effectiveness. A research and development method was used in this study. A total of 30 students of grade 11 which selected using purposive sampling participated in the learning activity. A self-assessment of LKCs form was used to investigate the situation in a physics class, before and after participation in the learning activity. The research results showed that SIG learning activity through Facebook consisted of six steps in the form of Imagine, Study, Design, Develop, Present, and Evaluate. The evaluation results by five experts concerning the suitability of this learning activity indicated that it could be used to enhance LKCs and had great potential to be implemented. Comparing the students' self-assessment with regard to LKCs, it was clear that there was a significant overall increase (p<.05). The comparison of students' selfassessment to the LKCs for each component also found that the skills of communication, thinking and learning, problem-solving, and technological application increased significantly (p<.05). The results of this study support the view that SIG learning activity through Facebook could enhance the LKCs of students.

STEM education for vocational student is not only a trend in education, but also an instructional approach that focuses on students and will lead to sustainable knowledge and learning. This research studied documents that explored the importance of STEM literacy for vocational school students in Thailand. Vocational education must be aligned with Thailand 4.0 and Industrial 4.0 models, and thus vocational schools must adjust their learning approach to be aligned with the Education 4.0 model. As vocational school students will be valuable to the development of the country, STEM literacy must be integrated into a project-based learning model which is a teaching approach for creating invention and innovation. The result of the s...

The research methodology was divided into two phases: 1) reviewing literature on STEM literacy and studying each step of the SIGAR model. 2) Examining the suitability of the elements of STEM literacy and the development of STEM literacy by using SIGAR. The evaluation was undertaken by ten experts who hold doctoral degrees. The results showed that STEM literacy consisted of: 1) the ability to identify STEM problems, 2) the ability to seek new knowledge, 3) the application of the STEM concept, 4) the ability to solve problems using STEM, 5) the ability to communicate information relating to STEM, and 6) the ability to make decisions based on STEM. The experts also evaluated which step of SIGAR was most suitable for the development of the respective aspects of STEM literacy.
