
Maxim Repetto
Graduated in Bachelor of Humanities with mention in History - University of Chile (1994), Master (1997) and Doctor (2002) in Social Anthropology from the University of Brasília (UnB). He held a Post-Doctorate at the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropologia Social (CIESAS, DF-Mexico), with a CAPES / MEC / Brazil scholarship (2009-2010).
Full Professor at the Federal University of Roraima / UFRR, Brazil and works in the field of anthropology and indigenous education, in the Intercultural Licentiate Course at the Insikiran Institute for Indigenous Higher Education / UFRR. Permanent Professor at the Graduate Program in Society and Borders (PPGSOF / UFRR); the Graduate Program in Education (PPGEDUC / UFRR); and the Graduate Program in Education in the Amazon / Educanorte - Associação Plena Em Rede (Polo UFRR).
Since March 2020: Postgraduate Director, at the Dean of Research and Postgraduate Studies at UFRR.
He has experience in the areas of Indigenous History, Ethnohistory, Political Anthropology and Indigenous Ethnology, with research in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
Lines of research and professional activity: indigenous policies; indigenous movements and organizations; consultancy in the elaboration of community social projects for social and environmental innovation; diagnosis and participatory construction of an environmental management plan and territorial management in indigenous lands; types of use of the Amazon nut (Bertholletia excelsa) by traditional populations in the Amazon; training of indigenous teachers; indigenous education and social formation of indigenous children and young people; active methodologies and curriculum innovation in intercultural education; education and health in Afro-Brazilian religions.
