This domain knowledge is used for effective management of predictive websites, creation of adaptive websites, enhancing business and web services, personalization and so on. In non-profitable organization’s website it is difficult to identify who are users, what information they need, and their interests change with time. Web usage mining based on log data provides a solution to this problem. The proposed work focuses on clustering of web users on web log data by developing an optimized clustering algorithm. The performance of web usage mining is also compared based on k-means, DBSCAN and CURE with proposed algorithm.

Internet enabled to keep a large number of video lectures on-line. To search for a required topic or subtopic from this huge video repository is becoming very tedious. One way to search for a particular topic is through keyword based search and it is based on extraction of text content available in lecture video files and to achieve it one has to maintain metadata. To maintain the metadata associated with video the frames of video containing text are required to be processed. As the video contains multiple frames per second it is not required to consider each and every frame. So, the frames containing distinct content called key frames need to be identified. The identification of key frames plays crucial role in the lecture video searching process. In this paper, different techniques for key frame identification are experimentally tested and results were compared.

Cloud computing has the advantage to provide anything as a service to the clients. One of the major issues in cloud computing is energy consumption at the time of task allocation to the virtual machines. This paper address the problem of task scheduling by considering the energy consumption of tasks in the cloud computing. Existing research works only focused on optimising the time and cost of the resource without paying attention to the energy consumption. This paper proposes a new algorithm for multi objective task scheduling in clouds, and develop a genetic algorithm to optimise the energy consumption. Simulation results prove the efficiency of the proposed method.

The vast majority of the business associations are intrigued to know the web client conduct to improve their business. In this unique circumstance, clients route in static and element web applications assumes a vital part in comprehension client's interests. The static mining procedures may not be appropriate as it is for element web log documents and basic leadership. Conventional web log preprocessing approaches and weblog use designs have confinements to break down the substance association with the perusing history This thing, concentrates on different static web log preprocessing and mining strategies and their material confinements for element web mining using this techniques we can create pattern cluster so we can easily retrieve data from data source.

It is not easy to get the required information from large data manually. Several algorithms were proposed to extract the information in which the user is interested in, from voluminous data using various algorithms including Association rule mining, Classification, Clustering ,Prediction techniques etc. The association rule mining derives some rules which describe the relationship between item sets. The prediction techniques helps to predict the future based on these association rules. This leads to better decision making about the future. The organizations are interested in finding the items which gives more profit and also customers who contribute more profit to them. The item sets which give more profit are high utility item sets. In this paper, the study includes 3 classical utility mining methods that are 2PUF , IHUP and FUFM and discusses some issues related with these algorithms.

Most of the business organizations are interested to know the web user behavior to enhance their business. In this context, users navigation in static and dynamic web applications plays an important role in understanding user's interests. The static mining techniques may not be suitable as it is for dynamic web log files and decision making. Traditional web log preprocessing approaches and weblog usage patterns have limitations to analyze the content relationship with the browsing history This paper, focuses on various static web log preprocessing and mining techniques and their applicable limitations for dynamic web mining.

An algorithm is developed that embeds the watermark information, with out much distortion to the cover image, while allows us to extract the watermark by use of correlation. The efficiency of an image watermarking technique depends on the preservation of visually significant information. This is achieved by Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DTCWT), which is modeled to show directional selectivity and as a result consistent with the Human Visual System (HVS). The Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) is resistant to several attacks. In this paper combined DTCWT-DCT technique is proposed, which uses a unique method for spreading, embedding and extracting the watermark. This paper compares various watermarking algorithms like DCT, Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), DTCWT, DCT-DWT with DTCWT-DCT method. This hybrid DTCWT-DCT shows superior performance in the presence of geometric and signal processing operations.
