With extensive experience of over 29 years in Rule of Law, amongst which 14 are in administering large donor funded projects in Rule of Law, counter terrorism, countering financing of terrorism, countering and preventing violent extremism, counter narcotics, counter IED, transnational and national serious organized crime and human rights, I am an experienced Senior Police Officer and Internationally known and published practitioner and published author holding a Ph.D. in Terrorism Studies. I have worked at senior most levels in Pakistani Law enforcement, and as National Lead on Rule of Law, CVE & Counter Terrorism with the premier UK FCDO RoL project in the last decade in Pakistan. I have worked at the helm of almost all the major Rule of Law projects in Pakistan, such as National Lead/Consultant/Advisor with FCO, FCDO, UNODC, EU, GIZ, DFID, UNDP, USIP, INL etc. as well as internationally. I have strategic and policy level first-hand experience in counter terrorism, counter extremism, Rule of Law, criminal justice, counter financing of terrorism, and transnational and national organized crime, anti-narcotics etc. with significant personal contributions to each of these policy domains at the national level. I am an experienced practitioner in strategic planning, police training, and outreach and capacity building of government departments, and civil society organizations. My vision is to effectively contribute to the evolution of Counter Terrorism, CFT & Countering organized crime through RoL. I bring to bear extensive practitioner experience blended with robust insight into these issues through research and experience in Pakistan and abroad.

dangerous place on earth. It was the picture of ultimate disparity compared to rest of
Pakistan, backwards in regard to every conceivable human wellness indicator. Then, in
2018, it was merged into the national mainstream in Pakistan, and re-branded as newly
merged districts (NMDs). The draconian law of Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) was
repealed, and FATA got the laws and policies of Pakistan- people got the same
constitutional protections as every other citizen.
And then, all was well.
