The mechanical properties considered in the study are breaking strength, elongation at break, tear strength, bending length, bending rigidity, drape coefficient and comfort properties includes airpermeability, water absorption and crease recovery. Both the fabrics were compared well in terms of these properties. The results indicate that viscose bamboo fabric give better result from the point of view of tenacity and bending and from point of view of comfort pure bamboo fabric perform better. The pure bamboo fabric perform better in terms of elongation break and bending rigidity and viscose bamboo in terms of breaking strength, tear strength, bending length and drape. Viscose content in the blend has enhanced the tensile properties.

India it is known to be one of the largest producers of cotton in the world. The various research studies reveal that textile industry provides job opportunities to 4.5 crores Indians including handloom workers. In spite of being the old sector, it has not made satisfactory progress (IBEF, 2022). The various micro, small and medium enterprises have been struggling for existence as well growth because of series of challenges. It is important to find out the innovative methods, practices and techniques for sustainable development. The waste management is one of the widely followed practices. This article aims to analyse the present scenario of garment industry in India, identify the major challenges and explore the opportunities in order to understand the potential growth for India and Rajasthan in particular. Phulkari meaning flower work. Phulkari is practiced not only for inventing personal textiles but also acts as the only source of income for many households. The researcher makes an attempt in understanding the lives of the craftsmen in the city of Patiala in Punjab who have spent their entire life in creating magnificent pieces of Phulkari. The data revealed that the women who have brought the age old traditional technique of phulkari from Pakistan to Punjab need not only to be honoured with reward but also to be supported financially and economically. There are many challenges faced by the artisans while selling their articles to the retailers. Traditionally artwork was embroidered with brass needles on handspun fabric khaddar cotton woven on handloom. The world has become a global village in a true sense since the various countries and economies have connected virtually and they have larger than life impact on each other. One hand, digitalization has opened the gateways of opportunities for developed nations. The foreign and international firms have been aggressively marketing and promoting their brands and products in developing and underdeveloped economies. On the other hand, it has become challenging for this development in underdeveloped nations to compete with them. A country like India is struggling to minimize the rural and urban widening gap. It has been noticed that the majority of socially and economically backward classes have been left out from the benefits of digitalization even after 70 years of Indian independence (D'Souza, 1990). The government has taken several initiatives and introduced various schemes and policies. However, India has a long way to bring them to the main floor of society. The present article aims to identify several challenges faced by the tribal communities in India and Madhya Pradesh respectively and explores the scope of applying digitalization to improve their quality of life, social economic conditions and create the source of livelihood in the long term.

A continuous and gradual process, social change has the power to redefine the holistic setting of a society by altering its economic, social, cultural, political, and other aspects. Gender happens to be an integral part of the society we live in, as male and female population is at par with one another, hence gender equality as a concept is a crucial aspect for Social Change to come about. Despite the gender parity in terms of population, one can't help but notice the existing inequality and bias that women in society have to face across all walks of life on a daily basis. The discrimination that women face within their families, at social events or even their workplaces speak volumes of the need for social change that needs to come about. 67% women agreed to the gender bias experience in their routine life. Urban areas around Jodhpur. The women were interviewed, and presented a questionnaire, asking them about the change they might have experienced in gender equality in the last few years as they worked with these organizations. The study includes the experiences of women at the domestic, professional, and societal fronts. 76% respondents voted right to education and employment as a mean to reduce the gender discrimination. The expected results indicate a positive growth in gender equality when it comes to the lives of the women who are working at these empowerment centers. This research aims at establishing the fact that women should be conditioned to be financially independent through receiving education about their rights, in order to bring in a much needed equality amongst both genders in a society.

This is particularly pertinent in disciplines like fashion design, where students are immersed in a distinctive and specialized learning environment to bolster their efficacy and proficiency. Amidst this backdrop, workshops have emerged as a pivotal cornerstone within fashion design education, recognized universally as an imperative priority. Modern education calls for innovative approaches, and workshops epitomize this evolution. Their significance extends beyond traditional pedagogical methods, offering students a platform to not only comprehend theoretical concepts but also apply them in practical, industry-relevant contexts. These workshops foster a dynamic learning atmosphere, aligning education with the ever-evolving demands of the market. One of their key advantages lies in facilitating direct interaction between students and industry experts, bridging the chasm between academia and real-world design scenarios. This study delves into the essence of workshops as a complementary facet of fashion design studies, with a specific focus on those conducted at the renowned Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology in Gwalior. At its core, the study seeks to unravel the multifaceted aspects surrounding workshops, exploring their necessity, importance, and transformative impact. To embark on this exploration, the research methodology employs a comprehensive and multifarious approach. It encompasses quantitative data collection techniques, through likert scale meticulously analyzing the objective, outcomes, and feedback derived from design students who actively participated in these workshops. The results of this study illuminate a significant gap in traditional fashion design education—a gap that workshops seamlessly fill. These dynamic learning experiences empower students with practical skills and insights that transcend conventional classroom instruction. The findings underscore the symbiotic relationship between workshops and holistic learning, as students' personal and professional growth experiences an unprecedented upswing. Furthermore, the study captures the resounding endorsement from students themselves, as their feedback substantiates the pivotal role of workshops in enhancing their educational journey.
In essence, this study bridges the theoretical-practical divide that often hampers comprehensive education. It spotlights the transformative potential of workshops, redefining their status from peripheral add-ons to integral components of the educational framework. By spotlighting the case of Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology in Gwalior, the study provides a template for educational institutions worldwide to infuse innovation, relevance, and efficacy into their curriculum through the strategic integration of workshops.
