"This is cool!" is a phrase used to praise interactive products, people, and phenomena. Emojis are colorful, pictorial, digital images used in electronic communications and frequently used to express emotion and culture. The main goal of this study is to find the coolness of two emojis depicting Pakistani truck art, one with red as the dominant color and the other with blue dominating color. The sub-goal is to investigate and know if the cool questionnaire is suitable for assessing the coolness of emojis. To capture the coolness of the emojis, we measured five factors: desirability, rebelliousness, aesthetic, hedonic and cool. The cool questionnaire has been implemented by using Google online forms. A total of 400 people participated in the survey. The result of this study concludes that the red colored truck is cooler than blue colored truck. The mean value of cool factor for the red truck emoji is 5.9, while for blue emoji truck it is 4.7. Furthermore, the Cronbach α for the red truck is .81, while for blue truck it is .70. These Cronbach values suggest that the cool questionnaire is also a suitable tool for measuring the coolness of emojis.
