The Android working framework-based electronic contraptions, for example, Smartphones, smart TV and tablets are comprehensively utilized for numerous purposes. Within android devices, there are distinctive types of health and medical applications that provide ease to patients and their caretakers to lessen time [1]. This undertaking includes a thought that is proposed, to save lives by a single tap. It is very advantageous for users in case of emergency: through this application, an ambulance could be available within 100 meters of the user's real-time location. The Dijkstra algorithm is used in this application by Google Maps API (Application Programming Interface) and this way nearest ambulance arrives on time. Consequently, not only time is efficiently saved but also precious lives.

This paper proposes an approach to verify SysML models consistency and to validate the transforma... more This paper proposes an approach to verify SysML models consistency and to validate the transformation of SysML models to VHDL-AMS code. This approach is based on two main solutions: the use of model-to-model transformation to verify SysML models consistency and writing unit tests to validate model transformations. The translation of SysML models into VHDL-AMS simulable code uses MMT (Model to Model Transformation) ATL Atlas Transformation Language and M2T (Model To Text) Acceleo tooling. The test validation of the model transformations is performed using EUNIT framework.

The semantics used is the Kripke structure where states are valued by atomic propositions. This structure can be large in number of states. This paper presents some heuristics to check properties expressed in LTL logic (Linear Temporal Logic). Hierarchical systems are defined in an hierarchical way by a set of subsystems by decomposing every time one or more states in a set of automata. To cope with the combinatorial explosion problem and the check of properties, we consider only the subsystems concerned by the property to verify and we then deduct its check from it on the global system.

To meet these expectations, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is identified as a key practice for efficient system development while simulation is still widely used by engineers to evaluate the performance and conformance of complex systems regarding requirements. To bridge the gap between high-level modeling (from requirements) and simulation, the present paper proposes a Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) tooled approach to automate the system requirements validation using SysML models and Modelica simulation. The implementation of the related toolchain has been officially adopted by the OMG SysML-Modelica working group.

Indeed, modeling and simulation are part of verification & validation activities, which are important tasks during the conception of a complex system. This article focuses mainly on the modeling and simulation of air-jet nozzles and on their influence on a millimeter size object. The obtained results are discussed and analyzed to obtain information on the conveyor system. This work is part of the ANR Smart Blocks project.

This analysis was built upon the shortcoming of the existing translators, and led to proposals to generate optimised code suitable for embedding in highly memory-constrained devices, such as smart cards. Two code translators have been developed: one targetting C, suitable for system or virtual machine development; the second targetting object oriented languages. This second translator enables the writing of Java Card 2 applications. This paper presents results of the BOM project related to the Open-Source Java/Java Card translator.

This approach is the first step to the generation of the VHDL-AMS code from the structural diagrams SysML. In this step, we address the Block Definition Diagram and the Internal Block Diagram. The translation uses Model Driven Engineer (MDE) methods as the transformation of model to another model (M2M) with ATL Atlas Transformation Language and the code generation from models (M2T) using Xpand. We provide the translation rules between the two elements. Implementation and methodology are illustrated on a micro-system case study: the Smart surface system.

We propose an approach which combines component SysML models and interface automata in order to a... more We propose an approach which combines component SysML models and interface automata in order to assemble components and to verify formally their interoperability. So we propose to verify formally the assembly of components specified with the expressive and semi-formal modeling language, SysML. We specify component-based system architecture with SysML Block Definition Diagram, and the composition links between components with Internal Block Diagrams. Component's protocols are specified with sequence diagrams, they are necessary to exploit interface automata formalism. Interface automata is a common Input Output (I/O) automata-based formalism intended to specify the signature and the protocol level of the component interfaces. We propose formal specifications for SysML semi-formal models in order to exploit interface automata approach. We also improve the interface automata approach by considering system architecture, specified with SysML, in the verification of components composition. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) have registered a large success in the scientific and industrial c... more Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) have registered a large success in the scientific and industrial communities for their broad application domains. Furthermore, the WSN specification is a complex task considering to their distributed and embedded nature and the strong interactions between their hardware and software parts. Moreover, most of approaches use semi-formal methods to design systems and generally simulation to validate their properties in order to produce models without errors and conform to the system specifications. In this context, we propose a Model Driven Architecture (MDA) approach to improve the verification of the WSN properties. This approach combines the advantages of the System Modeling Language (SysML) and the Modelica language which promote the reusability and improve the development process. In this work, we specify a model transformation from SysML static, dynamic and requirement diagrams to their corresponding elements in Modelica. Thanks to the SysML requirement diagram which is transformed into Modelica properties (constraints), we propose a technique using dynamic tests to verify WSN properties. We have used the Topcased platform to implement our approach 1 and chosen a crossroads monitoring system which is based on wireless sensors to illustrate it. Besides, we have verified and validated some wireless sensors properties of the studied system.

IoT Privacy and Security Challenges for Smart Home Environments

Often the Internet of Things (IoT) is considered as a single problem domain, with proposed soluti... more Often the Internet of Things (IoT) is considered as a single problem domain, with proposed solutions intended to be applied across a wide range of applications. However, the privacy and security needs of critical engineering infrastructure or sensitive commercial operations are very different to the needs of a domestic Smart Home environment. Additionally, the financial and human resources available to implement security and privacy vary greatly between application domains. In domestic environments, human issues may be as important as technical issues. After surveying existing solutions for enhancing IoT security, the paper identifies key future requirements for trusted Smart Home systems. A gateway architecture is selected as the most appropriate for resource-constrained devices, and for high system availability. Two key technologies to assist system auto-management are identified. Firstly, support for system auto-configuration will enhance system security. Secondly, the automatic update of system software and firmware is needed to maintain ongoing secure system operation.
