Aabstract This study aimed to evaluate the environmental status of healthcare facilities in the M... more Aabstract This study aimed to evaluate the environmental status of healthcare facilities in the Municipality of Zliten and analyze their readiness to achieve environmental sustainability. The study followed a descriptive-analytical approach, employing a questionnaire administered to a sample of 192 participants from various professional categories working in the health sector in Zliten Municipality. The results showed that the level of commitment to environmental practices in these facilities remains at 50.4%, particularly in the areas of waste management and green procurement, which stood at 46.6% and 49.8%, respectively. The findings also revealed a clear weakness in strategic planning for sustainability, accompanied by significant challenges hindering this direction-most notably, poor institutional coordination, lack of funding, and shortage of qualified personnel. The results further indicated the existence of a strong negative correlation between the current environmental status and sustainability prospects, meaning that improvements in institutional environmental performance will contribute to supporting sustainability. The study recommended the adoption of clear policies to improve environmental performance, the provision of financial and human resources, and the activation of partnerships with environmental and academic institutions.

This study investigates the state of sustainability in open-air popular markets in Zliten city, c... more This study investigates the state of sustainability in open-air popular markets in Zliten city, considering current trends toward establishing green markets that include several environmental aspects. The research originates from a key issue: the limited integration of sustainability standards in organizing these markets, despite their importance in economic and social life. The significance of the study lies in highlighting the vital environmental role of local markets and proposing practical and scientific approaches for their environmental sustainability improvement. The study aimed to assess the current level of sustainability in open-air popular markets, identifying the challenges hindering progress, and suggesting practical strategies for transitioning to green markets, adopting a descriptive-analytical approach. A questionnaire was created, covering three main areas: strategies for enhancing sustainability, the extent to which the green market (sustainability) concept is realized, and the challenges faced in achieving sustainability in open-air popular markets. This tool was distributed to a sample of 100 participants, including vendors, citizens, and regulatory authorities. The statistical analysis results indicated that the state of sustainability remains weak, with the overall average for the sustainability mechanisms dimension at only 2.07 and the average for the realization of the green market concept at 1.91. Administrative and planning challenges, a lack of coordination, and insufficient resources emerged as the main obstacles. The results also confirmed a strong linkage between the availability of environmental infrastructure and the extent of green market realization, compared to the limited influence of awareness programs. The study concluded that adopting integrated strategies to enhance sustainability in open-air popular markets is essential, highlighting the importance of activating coordination and cooperation among stakeholders to ensure a genuine balance between environmental, economic, and social dimensions.

Samples of sewage water have been collected from Misurata 'station that is being located out of t... more Samples of sewage water have been collected from Misurata 'station that is being located out of the
city from the southern area in Alseket area in order to study the physio chemical parameters for the treated
sewage water The samples have been collected from August to January 2010 immediately from the gathering
center ٫ one sample for 3 bis over six months period. The study included measuring and estimating the
electrical connection (EC), pH, TDS, and the total content of the heavy metals. Some of the were detected and
the results showed that the treated sewage water in Misurata consists of some heavy metals like (NA, K, Ca,
Mg). All of the tested elements in the treated sewage water were less the internationally allowed limit through
the six months of the year. Except the cadmium and iron elements which were above the internationally allowed
limit. The physio-chemical parameters for the treated sewage water from the purification plant in Misurata and
the one used in the irrigation of the public agricultural sekt project and the one that has irrigated the agricultural
feed. project. They show an increase in the electrical connection value for the treated sewage water samples.
They reached its highest value in January ms/cm 4460.0000. And reached its less value mS/cm 1338.2667 in
October with a total average of mS/cm3730.2526. And the total salinity reached the highest value for the total
dissolved salts in the treated sewage water 2899.3333mg/liter in January and the less value 2495.6667 Mg/liter
in September. The average of total salinity through the studied six months is 2697.7895mg/liter The pH for the
treated sewage water tends to be base since it fluctuates in a narrow limit around the general average that
reached 7.9967mg/liter throughout November.

The results of this study has shown that all the tested antibiotics with varying degrees have an ... more The results of this study has shown that all the tested antibiotics with varying degrees have an effectivness
against E.cartovora bacteria such as Erythromycine which was the most effective antibiotic against it and
then the other two which are Amoxicilline and Ticarcilline. The other antibiotics' effectivness was graded
from medium to weak .
Concerning the organic acids , the Ocsalic acid was the most effective one regarding this kind of bacteria ,
and then it comes the other two acids which are tertareek and Cetreek acids. Seksneek acid was medium in its
effectiveness and acetic acid had been found to be ineffective
Concerning the sensitivity of some fruits and vegetables to this kind of bacteria, the results of this study has
shown that all the tested vegetables are sensitive to it but with varying degrees depending on the kind of the
vegetables.
Potatoes , cucumber , tomatoes , rutabaga were the most sensitive vegetables .Zucchini and carrot come as a
second kind of the sensitive vegetables , while radish , pepper sweet , and eggplant were considered to be
medium to less sensitive. Fruits did not show any kind of sensitivity to this kind of bacteria.
Concerning to the ability of the bacteria to use some of the carbonic resources , this study of the E.cartovora
bacteria shows that it has the ability to utilize the carbonic resources , glucose , starch but it could not utilize
the carbonic resources frecnoze and maltoz . And regarding the ability of bacteria on utilizing some carbonic
resources it appeared that E.carotovora has the ability on utilizing the carbonic resources such as glucose ,
sugar, and starch , but it does not have the ability to utilize fructose and maltose

centrations on the greenery growth and the estimation of an oil percentage in the
leaves of Ocimum Basilicum .This research shows the study of the of the effect of
the spray of Ocimum basilicum by the extracted Allum Sativum with different con-
centrations like ( 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 ) gram / Liter both separately , in addition to the
plants of comparison which has been sprayed by the distilled water plants has been
left to grow to flowers . Then , by length of the stalk , number of the leaves , the
leave size , the wet weight , dry weight , estimating the watery content of plants .
Also , estimating some main elements in the ocimum basilicum extract and the soil
extract . The results have appeared that spraying the ocimum basilicum with the Al-
lum Sativum extract has stimulated the plants growth in an expressive way on most
of the most growth measurements . It has been noticed that the high increasment
from the total length , the leave's size , the number of leaves , the wet weight , the dry
weight , the watery content of the Ocimum basilicum with a remarkable increasment
in the total chlorophyll for plants .There has been a quantitative detection for both the
ocimum basilicum and Allum Sativum which has discovered a presence of proteins ,
amith acids , especially Trebtovan. Some metal elements have been found in the con-
centrations of the soil extracts like (sodium 112.2 part of the million , potassium 28.6
part of the million ) whereas some elements have been found in the plant's extract
like ( iron 55 part of the million , calcium 5.2 part of the million ) .The oil has been
extracted from the treated ocimum basilicum . It has been reached to 1 ml for every
100 gram from the ocimum basilicum leaves. From the results that have been showed
that the extract of the Allum Sativum has a vital role in the increasment of the rate of
the ocimum basilicum growth

eggs shells powder... more This research shows the effect of fertilizing using different concentration of
eggs shells powder on the production of tomatoes classified as Rio Grande, in
comparison with tomatoes that were not fertilized (o), plants were left to flower
and set fruit, and calculates the length of stem, number of leaves, number of
branches, number of flowers, number of fruits, it weight and the average of
leaf's area, the percentage of dry matter, the percentage of water content,
chlorophyl (A,B), (A+B), sugars, proteins, proline, the average of some
elements of fertilization was estimated , the results show that fertilizing using
eggs shells grinded powder had motivated the growth of plants considerably on
most growth measures, high increment was noted for each; the length of stem,
number of leaves, number of branches, number of flowers, number of fruits,
fruits weight, the average of leaf's area, the percentage of dry matter, with a
noticeable increment of chlorophyl (A,B), (A+B) sugars, dissolved proteins in
the plants juice. check up was done on some elements that are being found in
egg shells powder fertilization like sodium (Na), potassium (K), cadmium (Cd),
calcium (Ca), zinc(Zn), lead (Pb), while the average of hydrogen number for the
egg fertilization (1.88) the moistures content for the egg fertilizer (89:83).
Throughout the gained results that have showed that the egg shells fertilizer
using the powdered egg shells had an effective role in the growth of seeds and
the production of classified tomatoes.

This study sought to evaluate the efficacy of garlic extract as a growth promoter in potted basil... more This study sought to evaluate the efficacy of garlic extract as a growth promoter in potted basil plants. To this end, four extract concentrations (14, 16, 18, and 20 g/l) were prepared and administered via foliar spray once on growing basil plants. Various plant growth and biochemical parameters were documented after five months of cultivation to assess the effectiveness of garlic extract. The results demonstrated that the administered extracts, especially at higher concentrations, resulted in increased plant height, number of leaves per plant, and leaf area relative to control samples. Moreover, these treatments resulted in an increase in chlorophyll and total soluble solids content. No discrepancies in protein content were noted between the treated plants and the control group. These findings highlight the importance of garlic extracts as a substitute for chemical plant growth promoters in home gardening and small-scale organic farming.
