Early detection is the key for an effective treatment. Poor clinical outcomes or prosthetic solutions depend on the severity of the lesions at the time of trauma and worsening of the McLaughlin lesion during the months when the dislocation remains unrecognized or untreated. The aim of the study is to report our experience in treating, and clinically and radiographically evaluate the outcomes of, four neglected posterior GHJ dislocations. Methods: Four patients with inveterate posterior dislocation of the shoulder were evaluated. High Performance Computing (HPC) resources have become the key actor for achieving more ambitious... more High Performance Computing (HPC) resources have become the key actor for achieving more ambitious challenges in many disciplines. In this step beyond, an explosion on the available parallelism and the use of special purpose processors are crucial. With such a goal, the HPC4E project applies new exascale HPC techniques to energy industry simulations, customizing them if necessary, and going beyond the state-of-the-art in the required HPC exascale simulations for different energy sources. In this paper, a general overview of these methods is presented as well as some specific preliminary results.

In this sense, the common procedure is to customize these techniques to the specific energy sector they are of interest in order to go beyond the state-of-the-art in the required HPC exascale simulations. With this aim, the HPC4E project is developing new exascale methodologies to three different energy sources that are the present and the future of energy: wind energy production and design, efficient combustion systems for biomass-derived fuels (biogas), and exploration geophysics for hydrocarbon reservoirs. Background: The Ilizarov external fixation technique has been widely used for the treatment of lo... more Background: The Ilizarov external fixation technique has been widely used for the treatment of long-bone infected non-unions. After surgical infected bone resection, to allow filling of the remaining bone gap, biomaterials with antibacterial properties could be used. The aim of this study was to report outcomes of infected tibial non-unions treated using the Ilizarov technique and antibacterial bioactive glass. Methods: Between April 2009 and December 2014, 26 patients with infected tibial non-unions were treated with the Ilizarov technique and possible use of the bioactive glass, S53P4. The Association for the Study and Application of Methods of Ilizarov (ASAMI) criteria, a clinical and radiographic evaluating tool, was used for assessing the sample. Results: The average age at the start of treatment was 51 years. The mean follow-up time was 113 weeks. The objective is to produce an acceptable pay-as-you-go model to be used by cloud computing providers. Presently, a price of pay-as-you-go model is based on the virtual machine utilised per time. However, this scheme does not consider the interference caused by virtual machines running concurrently, which may cause performance degradation. In order to obtain a fair charging model, this paper proposes an approach considering a recovery over the initial price considering the virtual machine performance interference. Results showed benefits of a fair pay-as-you-go model, ensuring the effective user requirement. This novel model contributes to cloud computing in a fair and transparent price composition.
This study aimed to evaluate the clinical and radiological outcomes of normal, overweight, and ob... more This study aimed to evaluate the clinical and radiological outcomes of normal, overweight, and obese children with symptomatic flexible flatfeet managed with the ‘calcaneo-stop’ procedure (CSP), and to determine whether any correlation exists between patient weight and outcome. One hundred and seventy-four symptomatic flexible flatfeet were managed with CSP during the study period. The patients were divided into three groups according to their BMI and weight Z-scores: normal, overweight, and obese. Their clinical and radiographic outcomes were assessed preoperatively, and at 1 and 5 years after the index procedure. Although the radiographic criteria were comparable between the three groups, the clinical outcome was worse in obese children than in normal and overweight patients (P<0.05). Documents written in natural language constitute a major part of the artefacts produced during th... more Documents written in natural language constitute a major part of the artefacts produced during the software engineering life cycle. Studies indicate that more than 80% of enterprise data is stored in some sort of unstructured form, mainly as text. Therefore, the growth of user-generated content, especially from social media, provides a huge amount of data which allows discovering the experiences, opinions, and feelings of users. Text mining refers to the set of tools, techniques, and algorithms adopted to extract useful information from unstructured data. Considering that Portuguese ranks among the ten most spoken languages, and it is the second most common in Twitter, this study aims to map current primary studies that relate to the application of text mining for Portuguese. A systematic mapping method was applied and 6075 primary studies were retrieved up to the year 2014. A total of 203 studies were included, from which more than 60% analyse texts written in Brazilian variant. The majority of studies focus on the text classification task. Support vector machine and Naïve Bayes appear as main the algorithms. Folha de São Paulo and Público newspapers appear as main corpora, followed by the Portuguese Attorney General's Office corpus and Twitter.

The analysis of students solutions is not trivial, it can be time consuming, and it is error prone and biased by the evaluator. Many researches have proposed the use of automatic mechanisms for code analysis. Some of these mechanisms evaluates the degree of similarity between two codes, usually the objective is the detection of plagiarism. In this work, similarity evaluation algorithms are used in order to classify a solution according to the SOLO taxonomy. It was possible to observe that with 1 or 4 reference solutions, the similarity algorithms had a very similar accuracy. Moreover, regardless of the number of solutions, the agreement between algorithms and experts wasn't satisfactory. Resumo. Tradicionalmente, em disciplinas de programac ¸ão são adotadas atividades práticas de codificac ¸ão. A análise das soluc ¸ões dos alunos não é trivial, pois pode ser demorada, sujeita ao viés e aos erros do avaliador. Visto isso, muitas pesquisas propuseram o uso de mecanismos automáticos para análise de códigos. Alguns mecanismos avaliam o grau de similaridade de dois códigos, em geral com a finalidade de detectar plágio. Neste trabalho, tais algoritmos são usados para classificar uma soluc ¸ão na taxonomia SOLO. Foi possível notar que, com 1 ou 4 soluc ¸ões de referência, os algoritmos de similaridade retornaram uma acurácia muito semelhante. Além disso, independente da quantidade de soluc ¸ões, a concordância entre algoritmo e especialista não foi satisfatória. A programac ¸ão é uma das competências fundamentais na área da computac ¸ão. Os avanços e as contradições das políticas públicas no campo são analisados a partir do contexto de crescimento econômico brasileiro, que ocorre em detrimento das políticas sociais, da insuficiente ação do Estado no âmbito da prevenção e, por fim, dos desafios colocados aos serviços pela recém-publicada Política Nacional de Saúde do Trabalhador e da Trabalhadora. Pretende-se assim fomentar a discussão, o entendimento, a implementação e o avanço das ações em Saúde do Trabalhador, que deveriam estar no centro das políticas públicas.

The aim of this systematic review is to investigate the surgical treatment outcomes of PHFs, focusing on main used devices and surgical approaches.Methods: From the earliest record up to 21 July 2020, two independent authors conducted a systematic review of two medical electronic database (PubMed and Science Direct).
