The aim of this study is to contribute, especially in the field of distance education, by revealing the views of university students. The qualitative research method of phenomenological research design was used in the study. The sample group consists of 15 (9 female, 6 male) undergraduate university students. A maximum diversity sampling method was used in purposeful sampling to establish the study sample. The data was collected through individual interviews with 15 students using a semi-structured interview form created by the researchers. The data were analysed using MAXQDA. As a result of the content analysis, the following main themes were identified: "aims regarding university education", "factors affecting academic motivation", "similarities and differences between distance education and face to face education","experienced difficulties regarding the distance education process" and "recommendations for increasing the efficiency of distance education". Based on the research findings, it is thought that determining the positive and negative aspects of the distance education process will contribute to distance education applications. The results of the study can be evaluated by lecturers, researchers, and practitioners.

The enduring consequences of these earthquakes on daily life triggered widespread fears and anxieties in society, leading to scholarly investigations in this field. The primary objective of this study was to create and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Fear of Earthquake Scale (FES), a modified adaptation of the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19 S), tailored to measure earthquake-related experiences in Türkiye. Methods A total of 315 Turkish adult participants (106 men, 209 women), with a mean age of 37.71 years, completed the FES, along with the Brief Psychological Resilience Scale (BPRS). Psychometric analyses included confirmatory factor analysis as well as the evaluation of alternative factor structures, internal consistency, convergent validity, and criterion validity with respect to resilience. The findings indicate that the Turkish version of the Fear of Earthquake Scale has strong psychometric properties in terms of validity and reliability. After assessing various factor structures, it was observed that the two-factor model which represents the emotional and somatic response to fear, exhibited the best-fit values The Cronbach's alpha coefficients were calculated as 0.89 for the overall FES, 0.84 for the emotional subscale and 0.86 for the somatic subscale, indicating high internal consistency. Additionally, the negative correlation between resilience and the FES supports the criterion validity of the scale, and multi-group confirmatory factor analyses proved that measurement invariance held across genders and whether they experienced an earthquake or not for all groups. Furthermore, the results of the study revealed that women and individuals with prior earthquake experience reported higher levels of fear of earthquakes. The FES emerged as a reliable and valid tool for assessing earthquake-related fears among the Turkish population.

In addition, work-family conflict management is another important topic within the domain of organizational behavior and human resources. Hence, it was important to clearly delineate the relationships between job and career satisfaction and work-family conflict. This study examined the relationships between job and career satisfaction and work-family conflict among healthcare workers. Consistent with hypotheses, career satisfaction was significantly and positively correlated with job satisfaction, and the mediators (i.e., work-family and family-work conflict) were significantly and negatively correlated with job satisfaction. In addition, work-family conflict partially mediated the relationship between career and job satisfaction. The results highlight the importance of identification of the factors that affect job and career satisfaction and can help managers make informed decisions about interventions that aim to improve the emotional responses of employees.

The group members consisted of 28 (18 females, 10 males). Group counselling programme was applied once a week for 8 weeks. Quantitative analysis of the study was performed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and qualitative analysis was performed by content analysis of the focus group interviews and student evaluations reports. Quantitative analysis results showed that psychological group counselling enhances the positive emotions, happiness and life satisfaction levels of the students, while it did not have any effect on the negative emotions. Qualitative analysis results demonstrated that students had both personal and professional gains in this process.

While individual endeavors have focused on developing solutions for the disabled, our modern times call for a greater care to be taken for helping disabled individuals participate in daily life, and for neutralizing disability, an apparent disadvantage, through availability of convenient access to means for disabled individuals. In particular, the ability to travel and cover faraway distances without difficulty, a blessing brought to us by advances in technology, is a key highpoint of our modern times. The study will consist of four parts: the first part will lay down the disability scope; the second part will investigate the accessibility of airports in Turkey for the disabled; the third part will look at the measures that have been / will be put in place in the airports by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation; and the fourth part will offer the study conclusions and their discussion. In Study 1, I administered the translated scale to 441 participants from a range of age groups, and in Study 2 the finalized scale's reliability and validity were assessed with a separate sample (N = 506). Further, in Study 3, I examined the convergent validity of the FLSS by comparing it with the Satisfaction With Life Scale, in a sample of 436 Turkish students in grades 9–12. The results of confirmatory factor analysis verified the scale's single-factor model, and exploratory factor analysis supported the single-dimension structure of the original scale. Tests for convergent validity yielded significant correlations between life satisfaction and scale scores. Both internal consistency reliability and composite reliability were .95. Corrected item–total correlations range...

The present study examined the factor structure of the BAS among Turkish women and men university students. For this purpose, confirmatory factor analysis (competing model analysis) was conducted to evaluate the factor structure the BAS. Results from the confirmatory factor analysis on 741 university student (431 women; 310 men) suggested that a two-factor model with four items deleted represents an adequate description of the data, and best of the factor model proposed. In terms of convergent validity of the scale a negative and significant correlation was found between body appreciation and social appearance anxiety for women and men samples. The Turkish version of the BAS demonstrated adequate internal consistency and composite reliability. Finally, findings from t-test analysis showed that the BAS scores did not differ according to gender.
